He still won and took names like AZ and Krystedez and won. That's something Delta hasn't done yet. Delta got 9th because he is a good player, not because of his character. Ally could've gone Falcon at KTAR and probably placed really high. That doesn't mean Falcon is a good character. It means Ally is a good player. Same thing goes with Delta. Tier list wise, Yoshi is where he belongs near the bottom of mid tier. Bottom of mid tier is not good.

Implying Delta didnt take big names, not to mention he's consistently placed in multiple big tournaments going 100% Yoshi. Fonz has placed once with Ganon.

Also, Yoshi arguably is viable to go much higher with MK banned, as now we have no MUs harder than -2. No one hard counters us anymore, and our hardest MU, Lucario is only a moderate disadvantage and is still more than doable.

You think I don't know how Delta places? I was able to beat Delta when I first knew him. I know he took names. My point is that "this person places high with this character therefore that character is good" proves nothing of the character. San places high with Ike and I don't think he is a good character. I think San is a good player. Honestly for all I know our standard of a good character is just different. For me, the good characters are at least high tier.

Polt places, Firefly places, hades places, Slush places, Raptor places... Need more examples? There are many more.

Yoshi has (technically should say had due to a lack of updates for a while) better placings than every mid tier character bar Sonic (due to mostly MLG). Yoshi HAS the results and HAS the players, he just doesnt have that 'Hero' player (unless Delta counts) and people all have this 'oh he's bad' mentality about him, when tbh he's not all that bad of a character.

Im not saying he's high tier, cuz imo he's not, but imo tiers arent everything when it comes to deciding how 'good' a character is. For example, the reasons I think Yoshi are good are these: He has amazing mobility, he has great reach, he has a nice camping game, he has a nice close up game, he has a CG on half the cast, his recovery is pretty good, he has nice survivability, he has a ton of versatility, he has no bad stages, (with MK banned) he has no terrible match ups, he has an air grab, he has mix up tools, and many more. Overall, Yoshi is a very good character, its just his main weakness, a bad shield, holds him back in a lot of match ups. HOWEVER, notice how I only said 'holds him back', not cripples him. See, while he does have one glaring weakness, hes such a good character all around in pretty much every area to the point where he can handle whatever is thrown at him, despite his terrible weakness. That imo means he's a good character, he can handle any situation.

Only two yoshi's are worth mentioning, Polt and Delta.

One tournament I do good, the next I'm ****.
hades places well, though i'm not too sure who's notable in the region he's in and who he beats for his placements.
Firefly does place decently well in canada, but with Diddy kong and MK's help along with recent tournaments being only 11-30 people.
Raptor i'm not sure who he beats, but I guess enough people to get 7th-17th in the recent tournaments he's been too.

Also, not to downplay Delta's placing at KTAR, cuz I've always thought that was impressive, but I heard he didn't even meet up with any MKs in bracket. Nowadays, that's all I ever fight in bracket.

Which Mario's are going to Apex again? I know me, Matador, Boss, Famous I think. Inferno is no longer going .

One more and we'd be set for a 5 on 5 crew battle, we put down maybe $2 each or whatever amount works, I'd be set. The yoshis shouldn't mind dealing with fireball spamming since were the worse character and all so they say they'll be making free money.

Wtf no. Sonic matches take too long. Mario matches typically end in 4-5 minutes assuming the players are both really patient.

And yeah, I didn't end up fighting any MKs in bracket. I did end up beating a good variety of characters though (Will's DK, Malcolm's Wario, someone's GnW, Marth and Wolf), and I've said it before, but I adamantly believe that MK CRIPPLED Yoshi's ability to place. Like, an incredibly frequent -3 MU that, while I've had some success in it, absolutely DRAINS you after a single set, and trying to fight a gauntlet of MK as Yoshi is ********.

But MK's banned now so everything's good.

Pro tip: when the match is starting and if it's a big stage with no obstacles at all, a Yoshi almost 99% of the times will throw an egg at their enemy, if you're a Mario, just run and input a reverse cape jump and reflect that thing to their heads...there.! easy almost 20% hehe...(and you can't deny that, Yoshis)-

That yoshi was bad and tried to airdodge the fireball, thus giving up their DJ armor (which fireballs never beat, by the way) and got hit out of start up, causing him to die.
