It was fun playing with you MP8 and it was a blast being in Rogue Alliance with you. We had some good games and good/funny chat moments. Take care man and I hope we get a chance to talk again someday! I hope your mission is a life-changing experience. See you around man.

Peace MP8. Hopefully when you return and if you decide to check up on where Mario's metagame stands, it'll be something amazing and unexpected.

I'll accept MMs all day against Yoshis. Yoshi can't make Mario approach at all. Fireballs beat eggs, Yoshis got nothing to make Mario approach. A long with fludd beats eggs lmao we can push yoshi off the stage if he's trying to camp on one side.

I'm probably about to spark a pretty big arguement here.
Yoshi can actually out camp you if he's at the edge of the stage and your far away from him but at mid distance i would somewhat agree with you but mario can't force yoshi to aproach his fireballs aren't exactly falco's lasers Yoshi's B-air goes through all of them like a Marth F-air threw a pikachu thunderjolt. Your Fludd tactic isn't as effective as you make it sound though lol by the time you fludd him then try running to punish him off stage nothing will have happened he'll either wait and grab ledge or he'll already be back on so really it's pretty neutral. I can't believe anyone thinks FLudd can be used for camping on any character other than Ganondorf lol.

It's even i've played it alot too Mario has nothing special on yoshi, they both have similair range, similair punish game and can both gimp off stage effectively Mario with fireballs cape and fludd and Yoshi with Eggs. I know it's easy to imagine a Yoshi getting caped at the end of his jump and dying but that never actually works if he's already jumped all the way and his egg toss can give him the extra height to get back on after he punishes you with B-air.

I can't believe you assume to know what can and can't be possible for a character that you likely do not play very often.

I also can't believe you quoted and responded in the wrong thread.

Edit: Nvm, right thread. *dumb*

quite honestly Yoshi v.s Mario depends on the player a lot. Whoever can play the gayest might as well win. eh stupid thing about fludd the water destroys Eggs and yoshi can throw around 4 to 5 eggs at the edge until he needs to get back on.
Gl in that mm.

San told me that Mario can't Fludd Aether if Ike holds forward the whole time.

True or false?

Im not very sure, but I think its false because when Ike gets fludded, just holding the analog stick forward doesent give him any momentum as he gets pushed back from fludd. Correct me if Im wrong, tho......

Just curious, has anybody actually been able to smash attack a character, break their shield, and fludd them off the stage?

I don't think anybody has.
I have, just once.

And that was like... three years ago going against a shield-happy Marth.

This is false as long as FLUDD is fully charged and hitting Ike directly.

I did it to a Falco once. He got greedy trying to shieldgrab stuff, landed FSmash on his shield and FLUDDed. Good times.

-Hmmm, Fludd kill is something really hard to setup, i think that i've only done it once...i believe that i've had more success using it to put ppl in the falling state and then create danger situations...-

it helps Ike a bit actually but it doesn't make much of a difference. To be honest mario obliterates him with it at awkward recovery angles none the less.

speaking of Ike MU how is BBR MU chart saying the MU is even when mario is so hard for Ike? do people understand any other character in US other than MK or is it just me?

yes i did once against 1 person that didn't know how to recover from shield breaks particularly quickly.

I tried to implement fludd to separate Nana from Popo but couldn't get it to work yet. Would be pretty awesome if it works.

It only helps him if you happen to fire right as he's flying above FLUDD, which makes him go higher. However he'll still be pushed back. All holding forward does is not make him get pushed back as much, which barely matters since Ike's horizontal mobility during Aether is bawls.

Even sounds okay actually. I'd rather place it as slightly in Mario's favor but it's no more than 60:40 Mario which I find is a stretch. There's a lot that Mario can do to Ike, but fighting Ike is much like fighting Snake without the stage control gimmicks, in that Ike's margin of error is higher than Mario's, and Ike can kill Mario much earlier.

Smokey and Matador, consider yourselves lucky. You both just saved $20 because I can't make Apex anymore. Had to change birthright dates so I'm going during Apex (basically I'm going to Israel for 10 days). If you guys are still up for it, I can give the money to Delta.
