NJ is fun to play against...I just get tired of getting spammed with MK's all the time though...If I go I better have some diverse opponents this time...

I know how you mean, I've faced a lot of Toon Links and Marths. They seem to be more populated with my area. Actually MK is the character I want to face, I can't wait to have a friendly with KingAce at LBT2, just need some transit money and entry fee and I'm good to go.

MK's nickname is the New Jersey Devil. Atomsk, Inui, Ksizzle, Doom, Orion, Diem and Pierce use MK and that's taking like 5 seconds to think of really good MKs in NJ. You also have some NY MK's like Shadow and Anti. We do have some good players using other characters like Malclom, Zucco, and Cable though. I thought MD/VA was more diverse. There's MK, Snake, Kirby, ICs, Marth, Lucario, Olimar, and the Luigi in the top 15 while at least half of our top players are MK mains.

Zero from megaman x

Megaman's better anyways...>_>
I always prefered Zero myself.

I need to figure out how to get homebrew to actually work on my Wii and download this game as well. Didn't realize it was already out.

I mean uhhh... Texture hacks. Yup. That's all I plan on using my homebrew for Nintendo! Nothing illegal here. Move along now.

personally think md/va is the most diverse then next comes ny/nj then next comes a league of MKs states
Basing this off of the attendence at Pound... MW is much more diverse than EC it seemed. Also, Canada seems more diverse in general as well.

Yes..... that Sonic project needle mouse will be great I bet on it

Hahahaha! That's a good one!

And I still have to watch that COD vid you sent me, internet is so slooow.

Oh yes, relating to Linkshot, anyone know any good strategeties for teaming with Lucario :).

You may not like it, but the "Anubis strategy" is very effective...

That is, plank while Lucario 1v2's the other guys. You basically act as a stock holder to make his aura play into full effects and jump in to stop him from being team gayed (Grab releases and such) when that would occur.

Linkshot? That guys is awesome, he gave me advice when I was a scrub.

Also, teaming with Lucario... I don't really know any gimmicks or anything, you could play defensive and allow Lucario to take damage? Then when he's at high damage you could go in and allow him to get kills and stuff, I really don't know. >_>

No offense Matt, who's half those people >.>

I think SoCal's pretty diversed, that has a **** amount of low tier players.. but seems like we're slowly getting undiversed :[

I've never tried the Anubis strat, seeing as how I've never partnered up with a Lucario, but I think it can work well, for me atleast, I stock tank like a beast in doubles xD

For that strat, you want to make SURE you'll outlive Lucario stockwise, if you get behind his, the strat goes kablooey, and Lucario becomes the equivalent in power of a whiffle bat.
That's why it's recommended that you play a character that can plank.

In a tourney match last tourney, my Mario out planked Commander Beef's DDD and X's Sonic on Luigi's Mansion xD

But Vato's Metaknight died :[

I wanna try the Anubis strategy with a good Lucario though, see how it works xD

Mario is awesome in teams. I almost beat Bigfoot and Larry in teams with Mario (my partner was Kirds, who mains the ICs, but uses MK in teams).

Almost. It's just Larry owned me one on one because he's too good. I almost made a comeback though...I managed to kill off Bigfoot and was at the last stock against Larry.

But seriously, he's a really small target, he has GREAT clearout moves, and he survives pretty long. He can score a KO on his own when necessary. Cape shenanigans are also too good.

@Matador - there are few but there are some. The only ones in NJ I can think of are Keitaro, Kid, and Bleachigo. Can't think of any from other places though.

@Larry fans complaining that he shouldn't have lost to ChuDat: Just give Chu the win. Chu just his last stock with a o to death combo. He even gave him a chance to survive by stage spiking him which was very generous of him to do. Also, I've become a fan of ChuDat after Pound 4. CHUSA!!!

I used to be anti-ban, but I had to pick up MK just to deal with MK... it's ridiculous.

And what's worse, I don't feel like using Mario as much because it's harder to win SCREW YOU METAKNIGHT!!!

lol, the thread traveled to the Mario boards.

Yeah, OS outdid himself that time, alot of people are getting convinced (finally?).

I personally don't care myself, and I don't think Tampa does either. RedHalberd apparently switched to Snake.

MK switching to Snake? That's a first. Seibrik still uses MK though.
