You may as well just DI toward the nearest platform. If on FD, just survival DI, and wait it out, lol. It's not a guaranteed kill, but it is like a free 80% damage for Marth. Of course, Falco can just combo the ***** to hell and back in return. <3

*Edit*

Or~ DI up at 21% and shine.

Hopefully that won't happen, Mango has been pretty attentive and I'm sure the rest of the Falco community can keep it on life support if he's not around.

Anyways, DI slightly behind him, it forces him to pivot.

So, it would be best to forget the lasers if she's trying to be gay, and try to space with bairs?
i still laser if theyre far away (though they'll most likely be approching with that float)
full jump with some different timing to your double laser will hit that spot, but as its been said it might mess up your flow.

Blistering - Well pretty much the way i see falco .. its evenly as good as everyone else peach marth sheik foxy but the thing is falco has 2 work alot harder for his **** and having a mediorce recovery but overall hes jsut as good as them ... just has 2 work an 8 hour **** with some over time 7 days a week unlike the rest of them they work 4 hour shifts on the weekends only

lol
lol true dat

Mango, what would you do if your near the ledge and someone is attacking your shield with spaced moves (e.g. Falco with shffl'd bair)?

I guess retreating SHL/WDback onto the ledge or try to trade hits with dair/nair if he's at high %

Or are there more/better options?

Vic - Against foxes that like 2 shine... stay away from the edge easy as that you have lasers you dont have to go to ne one if u dont want =D

bolt- spacing against marth can be weird at first .. all you ahve to do is get used 2 his sword and how far it can go and stuff.. Just play your friend/marth for like a hour or 2 and then you will get it ... and his grabs are reallllly dumb... instead of shield pressuring u could just grab 2 play it safe ... like
Laser > grab

instead of nair shine on shield and then maybe getting grabbed or mix it up ^_^

=P - mannn i love jiggs on falco... its pretty much like that ... crouch cancel forward smash is **** ... sometimes you can do up throw 2 up air... and pretty much u wanan get them in there shield.. i no its scary because u can get grabbed but trust ur l cancels... so get them in there shield and then puff cant really do ne thing if she trys 2 roll away you can catch her roll so easy and then punish it so bad ... and do go near the edge =D

DRD - I would say when starting out with falco take fox to fd and just practice basic combos.. then when u get better take a fox to yoshis and work on platform combos etc... But overall just trying get control of your character do dash dances then laser to a few nair/drill shines some waveshines till u can get it down consistently... then once ur tek skill is down u can play people and work on ur tricksies and stuff =D

Meta - Against marth i can tell you how 2 di a few things... for the grab in general u wanna slightly DI behind them making it alot harder for them ...
When you get faired DI away
For up tilts i just try 2 DI towards a platform so that i can tek atleast giving me a chance of getting a way

Falcochino - love ur name lol i would say at high percents trading hits is good
if there spacing moves u can try and jump on the platform real quick and then try 2 get on the top platform to reset everything
Wavedashing back to the edge is good to.. be careful with ur lasers off the edge
andddd thats kinda it
you can get creative in these sitiuations
*** IT roll behind them sometimes lol no shame in rolling here and there

=D

Do you have any advice on tech patterns?
Yes i actually have some good advice on tech patterns.

ok, because the object of the game is knock your opponent off the stage, whenever you are combo'ing your opponent and they are about to tech, take note of where on the stage they are.

if they are more on the outside and you on the inside, majority of the time they will tech inwards, or behind you, hoping that you chase them too far and they can regain the middle of the stage. In this case, all you have to do is wait for the inward tech and ****. you see falcons do this a lot where they downthrow near the edge and just stomp in place it catches so many people.

on the other hand if you are comboing them and you are on the outside and they are in the centre, chances are, they are going to tech AWAY in hopes of escaping your combo, in which case you run directly to where the tech would end and punish that spot.

these patterns are so ingrained into people that i even see pros fall for them. Which is why good players are conscious of these patterns and will either do the opposite, making reads more difficult, or dont tech at all.

Bah, edge game is my best game too. I'll give it a try.

How do I deal with Peaches? I play frequently with a peach main, who completely destroys foxes and falcos. ):

Just edgehog in a way that you are invincible when the pill comes at you, then do ledgehopped bair or dair if he fastfalls.

Vic - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=at3JhbjTCM4 thats a pretty good example on how 2 fight peach

Avenger - Against ics its kinda dumb sometimes but what i do is forward smash alot ( shiz) it slides them back and they cant punish it 90 percent of the time .. .down throw is mad good cause it separates them... camping is pretty much useless they can get thru in like one wavedash so u gotta be agressive but careful cause if u get grabbed =O .. they like 2 shield alot so u gotta grab alot and when shield pressuring do like a nair shine and space whatever u do next.. dont even bother trying 2 pressure cause its gonna fail like 90 percent of the time

Against Falcon - you cant let him get no momentum whatssoever... so u gotta be in his face... when shield pressure do lasers cause most falcons roll cause thats about all they can do .. and when ur pressuring and u land behind them make sure to up tilt cause it will always beat the stomp.. uhhh go watch some zhu vs some falcons... ( not mine LOOOOL) hes pretty good in that matchup .. u could learn some things

Jove - welll rememebr lasers> turnups ;)

Stab - edgeguarding doc is dumb ... i usually just grab the edge but gotta watch out for those pills and dont contest him when hes doing the up b so u dont get spiked just wait for that fuker2 land on the stage

When you land on the platform, you need to either keep holding down after you waveland or do an aerial, or you need to lightly tilt the stick down.

Hey Mango, Like to give you a Gratz on winning Genesis, woot
A few falco questions, when you have the time.

Against floaties and marth (sometimes), is a dair/nair/laser > a spaced dtilt (to maybe even a fsmash after) a viable option for a kill? Or is the grab just more practical because it avoids getting popped back by one of their aerials and leads to combos when successful? hope that made sense

On platformless areas, what do you think is your best option after uthrowing a fox around 10-20% to give you the best chance at racking up the most dmg, considering all is executed near perfect? bair>combo? nair>moreshines? Dair>shine/techchase? Shine>dair/other? Am I missing something (prolly am)?

Against falcons, how much is it expected of you to **** as a falco? or is it more even of a matchup than i thought? Obv top falcons can fair well, but im talking for your average-good falco-falcon matchups.

As a falco, what is both your least and most enjoyable character matchups, and why? not necessarily your best/worst ones

I only have one question, jus cuz i can't figure it out... how do you shine grab?
just do a JC grab during your shine.
so shine and then press Y+Z

gotta be holding down before you start your shine

so do a dair or whatever and continue to hold down on the stick, then shine grab like normal

I personally find Up+Z easier.

Lol Tai. Tell me to shut up when your Falco gets better than mine.

owait, that wont happen.
I'm pretty sure it already is.

Are you basing this off the one or two friendlies where I was sandbagging?

And even if it weren't, that's irrelevant.

Because I'm still a better player than you.

Also, I told you to shut the **** up because you were being an obnoxious tool.

AZ's not even that good outside of its top 5.

Our 6-10 probably doesn't even compare with the lower players of some of the better regions (Socal, Norcal, FL, Various EC regions)

p.s.

You've lost to me in every Falco ditto we've played. Sandbagging or not, a loss is a loss.

percent is so much more important, lol.
Not really, if you're Fox vs another character and you need to pull off a uair BEFORE their % gets too high and they can break out of it, you don't want to rack up too much percent and keep wasting your throws adding more % and them DI'ing it correctly instead of just doing it as fast as possibly so they don't get a chance to DI and you can pull off the kill.

you definitely wont be as fun to watch anymore if you do that, zhu.

mango what do you do if you get hit with peach's downsmash?
You take it like a champ all dai, son.
