Special Ability: Get in Here and Stay (needs better name) (Read this Before you move on)
Delibird's Special ability in his Franchise could be either be Vital Spirit, which prevents sleep, or Hustle, which gives power in trade for accuracy. However, Both, in my opinion, sound underpowered or crazy to me, so I came up with this original concept of mine.
As you know from the picture, Delibird has a bag on it's back, but what you might not know is that the bag is actually his tail(!). The "Bag", as we'll now call it, has a special property. With certain moves, Delibird can force you inside the bag. I know it sound like it's similar to Kirby's Inhale, but there are some differences. First and Foremost, Some moves by Delibird won't be affected by the ability, meaning if you force the enemy in the bag, you won't as limited as Kibry or Dedede. Secondly, The character inside the bag affects the movement of Delibird, making Delibird stronger with certain moves if there's a Heavy character in the bag and vice versa. However, Weight, Speed, and Jumps are affected by this as well. Also (to ensure no cheating), it's impossible for a Delibird with someone inside his bag to be stuffed in another bag by another Delibird. When Delibird is inhaled or Wario bitten, the character will escape out of the bag to ensure no glitches. Thirdly, Any item that the character was holding at that time will either be drop onto the ground (Beam Sword, Ray Guns, Pokeballs, etc.) or be absorbed to your Delibird (i.e. smash balls, mushrooms, badges, etc.). Lastly, The character inside the bag doesn't need to let out automatically, unlike grabs and similar moves (Think the Ike Grabs D3 on Corneria Glitch). There are only two ways to get out of the bag that's out of Delibird's control: By spamming enough times to struggle out, or by letting another character hit Delibird with a strong attack with medium to high knockback. This can be a Great attribute on Team battles, due to stronger attacks and more weight for you.
For My (and Probably Yours) Sake, White indicates a Normal attack, Red represents a "Put in the Bag" attack, Orange indicates a chance for the captured opponent to escape easily (i.e. a simple attack or jump), Yellow will be the moves that force a character out of the bag and Green represents a move that increases damage with a captured character inside the bag. The Increased Damage indicators are 2% for light characters, 4% for medium characters, and 6% for the heavy characters, but half of the extra damage will be given to Delibird and the character inside the bag. The Speed and the jumps' stats decrease with .5 for light characters, 1.0 with mediums, and 1.5 for heavyweights, while the weight stats increase with the same factor. Also, Smashes are at Maximum and there's no stale move negotiation in the damages given.
Attacks:
Special Attacks:
Neutral Special: Ice Beam: Delibird Charges up with a ball forming near it's mouth. The Ball will then become a beam when you let go of the that usually travels horizanally. The beam uncharged will send out a small beam (as long and wide as a platform in Battlefield) that that deals 5% per hit. When it's fully charged, Delibird's beam will be slightly larger and wider (Same distance and width as the moving platform in Smashville) and will deal 20%. The Beam Stops when it hits a character or a wall, but with an angled slope the ground will freeze up for 5 seconds, making traction less controllable. Any kind of beam will have a 10% chance of freezing the opponent and is considered a projectile.
Side Special: Thief: Delibird Simply Runs straight forward until you either let go of the the B Button or a character is in the way of the attack, in which they will forced into the bag. If this attack is used in mid air, the Bag will slow down Delibird's falling speed, but you can't change directions and the opening of the bag is in the bottom right (if facing right) and vice versa. If there is a character in the bag, in the air or on the ground, The side B will be replaced either with the forward aerial or the forward smash, respectively.
Up Special: Fly: Simply put, Delibird flies with his bag closed off with his beak, having a similar feel to pit's and R.O.B.'s Up Specials. Delibird will usually go about the distance of Final Destination in any direction, but with a character in the bag, that distances decreases. With a light character, Delibird will go a distance of about 4/5 of Final Destination, while a medium character gives Delibird the distance of 2/3 of FD, and Heavy characters are taken a distance of only one half of FD. Delibird can attack out at anytime, but he will be left in a semi helpless state.
Down Special: Present: Delibird tries to grab something inside his bag, as if if the item in hand under a pile. Delibird then takes out one of three items (four items if a character is inside the bag at the time):
Present Ball: A glowing ball that can only be produced by a Delibird, this ball glows between red and light blue in an irregular pattern and is about the same size as a pokeball. When thrown with a strong dash attack, it deals 10%, while throwing it normally and disregarding it will deal 7% and 5%, respectively. The ball will explode after eight seconds in either a reddish or blueish hue. The color of the explosion determines what damage is given to anyone in the explosion's range (the radius is about 1/8 of Final Destination) at that time. With a reddish color, the explosion gives 12% and medium knockback. However, the blueish hue heals characters with 8% and has no knockback. These items are generated 98% of the time.
Beam Sword or Ray Gun (Kids love that stuff): Like Peach, Dedede, and basically anyone else that can conjure up items, Delibird also a 1% chance of getting a Beam Sword or a Ray Gun instead of a Present Ball. They act, work and practically function like their Brawl counterparts. But in reality, there is one major difference. They also have the same properties to the Present Ball in that they change in color from red to blue and will explode. They give the same amount of damage with the different colors too.
(^ There is limit of three presents that can be on the stage, which includes the Special Beam Sword and the Ray Gun)
Character Ball: The Character inside the Bag is now scrunched up in a ball. Heavy Characters will deal 15% a Smash throw, 10% with a Regular throw, and 8% with a dropped throw, but but also have a short arc and won't gain much distance. Medium Characters give 11% with a Smash throw, 8% with a normal throw, and 6% with a dropping and have the basic throw distance of a battering item. Small Characters give an 8% Smash throw, 6% regular throw, and a 4% drop throw, and are thrown to the distance of an average throwing item. The Character scrunched up in a ball can escape the wrath of being an item after either 5 seconds of being held or after 10 frames of being thrown, including while in midair. Characters balls getting out of their sphere shaped form are given 10 invincibility frames while in the air.
Final Smash: Icy Wind: As Delibird dances around in a small circle, a small blizzard covers the whole stage. This wind will give 3% damage every second for ten seconds, affecting all the smashers except for the user. After the wind is finished, all "hard" and breakable platforms will be covered in snow, making anyone in that area have their speed slowed down significantly. Any pass though platforms will be covered in ice instead of snow and will give less control of your traction. Both the snow and the ice will thaw out in about 10 seconds afterward and the stage will turn back to normal.
Normal Attacks:
A:Delibird gives a short-distance, left handed strike (2%).
AA:Delibird then lets out an right handed jab, letting go of the tail bag in the process. Anyone in the bag can get out during the duration of the second part of this combo and the third part. (3%)
AAA: Delibird then Grabs his tail bag behind him and gives a hard swing. (5%) The momentum of the swing then causes Delibird to trip, making him open for a second before rolling forward, backward, or attacking.
Dash Attack: Delibird puts his bag in front of himself, resembling a sumo wrestler, with the hitbox on the bag. (7%)
Tilts:
Forward Tilt: Delibird reaches out slightly to give a ice covered punch (9%). Not much in range and slight lag at the end.
Up Tilt: Delibird leans his head back and then suddenly pulls the old noggin back, resembling a headbutt with low range, but is very fast and gives 7%.
Down Tilt: Delibird does the infamous "low kick on the ground maneuver" technique. Good in range, damage, and is quick at the beginning, but laggy at the end, giving bagged characters the chance to escape at that time. (7%)
Smashes:
Forward Smash: Delibird Charges with him checking his bag, as if looking to see inside for the contents, and attacks with a swing of his tail-bag (11%). The Momentum caused by that swing will then cause Delibird to swing his bag in front of hima second time (15%) before stopping completely in a dazed position. The hitboxes are about the same size as Delibird and have slightly better than average knockback and range, but the chances of getting hit by both of the attacks are slim.
Up Smash: Delibird will charge by looking at his feet, jumping slightly to see if he could jump a good distance, and attacks by going on on top of the bag and bouncing a distance of about the main platform of Battlefield to the side platforms if charged fully. Delibird's hitbox area will be his located around his head, which will be be pulled back and then released forward (15%). Anyone inside the bag will receive 2% damage from this attack while Delibird will receive 1% only if there is someone inside the bag.
Down Smash: Delibird will charge by checking his legs for a second and attacks by swinging his Tail-bag under him while he is jumping. The attack is unusual because if you get hit in the sides, there is slightly below average knockback, a small hitbox all around, and will only give 12%. However. if you are right below them, i.e. under a platform, the attack will act as if it were a spike, dealing great knockback and 16% damage.
Aerials:
Neutral Aerial: Delibird will spin around twice with his mouth open, releasing a an icy breath. There is a 5% chance of freezing and there is no lag and not much knockback (5%).
Forward Aerial: Delibird throws his bag in front of him, giving good knockback, range, and power (4%)
Back Aerial: Delibird grabs the far end of his Tail-bag and swings it back and forth once. (4%) The hitbox is slightly to the bottom back of Delibird and has the same properties as His Forward Aerial.
Up Aerial: Delibird turns upside down and tries to give a upward kick, but the poor knockback, damage (6%), range, and lag that it sounds like ultimate failure (with is really is.)
Down Aerial: Perhaps Delibird's Strongest move, this motherf*cker has approximately a 1 in 8 chance to deal 36% with great knockback (sounds broken huh? there's more though.). However there is approximately a 1/8 chance that that will HEAL 24% damage with no knockback. How, you may ask? Delibird simply let go of the bag and let loose any items (Present Balls, Beam swords/ray guns, and character balls) onto the ground. Present Balls will explode onto contact with either a character or the ground. Character Balls can stay in their position and won't get knockback, but will sustain damage, or they can jump out of their condition anytime with the downside of not being able to attack. Beam swords and ray guns will do regular items instead of their exploding counterparts, but still have a 1% chance of appearing for each of them.
Grabs and Throws:
Grab: Delibird will use his bag and throw it like a lasso for an slightly extended grab only if their is no one inside the bag at the time. If there is a character inside, He will instead grab with both hands, holding the bag by his mouth. Once a character is grabbed, Delibird will hold the character by his right hand, holding his bag in his left in the progress.
Grab Attack: Delibird will headbutt the grabbed opponent, giving 3%.
Forward Throw: Delibird will throw his opponent in front of him after doing two turns clockwise. (6%)
Back Throw: Delibird will throw the character in the bag if their is no one in side. he will then swing the bag on the ground once. With a character inside, though, he will throw the character he has grabbed onto the ground (6%).
Up Throw: Delibird will throw the character upward and will give an icy breath on top of himself with great range (1-2% every 5 frames, maximum 8%)
Down Throw: Delibird will push the character in the bag and stomp on him if nobody's in the bag. With someone inside, Delibird will just push the character down and stomp on him/her, with some knockback upwards. (6%)
Ledge And Floor Attacks:
Ledge Attack (under 100%): Delibird will throw bag first onto the ledge before pulling himself completely back up (7%)
Ledge Attack (100% & above): Delibird will slowly pull himself back up with an Ice punch. (9%) Afterwards, he will let go of the bag for about a half a second (giving bagged characters that much time to escape) before getting ready to battle again
Floor Attack (face up): Delibird will shake his body with ice particles around him coming out of his mouth (4% for each side)
Floor Attack (face down): Delibird will push himself up, shaking his head with an icy breath coming out. (4% each side)

Codec Message:
Snake: Otacon!!! There's a Penguin here fighting against me.
Otacon: Is it Dedede or Delibird, Snake?
Snake: He's holding a bag, So I guess it's Delibird. It's just Strange...
Otacon: What's strange, Snake? The Fact that his tail's the bag he's holding or the fact he can force you inside his bag with a few special moves.
Snake: It's not that, although I'll question that later. It's Just... Why am I fighting against penguins here in Alaska?
Otacon: You are in a fighting game, don't worry. The Developers have to break continuity sometime, Snake
Snake: Yeah Right, Continuity. Remember the time you said you're pregnant.
Otacon: For the last time, It was a pillow and you punched my stomach. Anyway, I hope Delibird doesn't have a Partner inside the bag, or you're dead meat, Snake.
Subspace Plot:
His first appearance in Subspace is during the scene in which Dedede defeats Wario on the dirt road. One of his Waddle-dees find a pokeball (containing Delibird himself) and tries to keep it for it's own. However, Dedede notices the pokeball in his castle and defeats the Waddle-dee holding it, dropping the ball in the process. Delibird is released (the words Delibird appear below the screen). Confused, Delibird tries to attack Dedede, but eventually gives up. Dedede, instead of defeating Delibird, comes up with a plan.
The plan is to somehow get Delibird aboard the Halbred as a spy of sorts (in case of a early or late "killing" from Tabuu). Dedede then gives Delibird one of his Dedede badges (has 4 in this new version) for the insurance for his protection. Delibird hides the badge inside his tailbag and runs off to the mountain. The next time he is seen is on top of the mountain, giving his respect to his fellow pokemon, Lucario. Suddenly, the battle between Lucario and Metaknight begins. If Lucario wins, Delibird will stop the angered Ice Climbers. If Metaknight wins, Delibird runs toward Metaknight, but slips halfway through (That is why tripping is in the game). Either Way, He fails to get on the Halbred because of the avalanche, but tries to fly onto the airship. However since the ship is moving too fast for Delibird to land in a confortable spot, he flies to the island for his arms to rest. After the resting period Delibird tries to get onboard again, but is Distracted by Plusle and Minun. As Delibird agrees to let Plusle and Minun get to safer ground, He warns them that they shouldn't move too much and they shouldn't take anything inside. As Delibird Gets off of the floating island, The Falcon Flyer comes out of the Airborn-island destruction from the inside. Delibird gets hit by the Flyer itself, knocking him onto the water-locked island.
Eventually, Delibird goes to Subspace (along with everyone else) via Olimar's Ship. He then becomes a trophy due to Tabuu, but gets resurrected because of Dedede's badge. He meets up with Kirby and they go off to revive the other trophies. They eventually meet up Dedede, Ness, and Luigi, ending the two penguins giving a nod of approval to show their work is almost done, with the need to defeat Tabuu to complete their heroism.
