No. Unless Sakurai drops this rule with 4th party characters, I will continue to support only video game characters, because I respect Sakurai and the work his team puts into this game. Cartoon characters are what Super Smash Flash is for.

I do like Smash 4 better as a competitive game compared to Brawl, but it's always fell short in various other aspects. No Subspace is obvious, but I also had a better casual experience with Brawl than Smash 4, as well. Looking back at those times have been so much fun for me. Plus King Dedede was actually pretty good compared to today.
