Section 1470 of Title 18, United States Code, prohibits any individual from knowingly transferring or attempting to transfer obscene matter using the U.S. mail or any means or facility of interstate or foreign commerce to a minor under 16 years of age. Clearly the intent of SWF is to not do this, there's no way they could be blamed. Once again, if SWF could be blamed, so could every forum that has ever existed if you blame the service for what the users do. Since I have never heard of this happening and reddit exists...

There are also laws to protect children from obscene or harmful material on the Internet. For one, federal law prohibits the use of misleading domain names, words, or digital images on the Internet with intent to deceive a minor into viewing harmful or obscene material (See 18 U.S.C. §§ 2252B, 2252C).

Same as before, you have to prove intent. If SWF is complicit in minors finding porn, the google.com is the worst offender ever

What if someone on this forum mentions an art website, is that banworthy too because of reasons? We all know what you'll find on any popular art website.

It is still a grey area and one of which I would rather side on caution. I get where you are arguing this but the case in point is to avoid the situation all together.

Even other places that allow it instant ban you if you post it without a NWS tag for the topic.

The ones who have said theres porn in our chat are not even in our chat in the first place and word of mouth is a very weak thing when it comes to this sort of situation.

This is starting to get ridiculous, and I'm sure I'm speaking for a large portion of the people here when I say that. Just going to go ahead and address the obvious: it's pretty clear that this isn't even about nsfw things being posted in the chat. The last time something erotic was linked in the chat was well over 2 weeks ago. And even then, not many people had noticed it. There weren't any complaints either. If you have any, I'd be glad to see screenshots. I know that there are members in the chat who don't care to see those types of things, but like Croi mentioned it's very easy to ignore a simple link that is tagged (NSFW). But if it is such a problem, then we can refrain from posting them.

I don't really understand all the arguing going on here, it seems pointless. It's pretty clear that the only reason things have been dragged out this long is because MTI and Engarde want a regulated chat like other character-specific chats that they can control with enforced rules and regulations, and it seems like one of them has finally snapped. From my time being in the Lucario chat for the past 3 or 4 months, I can tell that it hasn't ever really worked that way. It's a skype chat for f*** sake, we can handle ourselves. We always have. It's not like there are law-breaking things that occur, the fact that legislation was brought up here in the first place is incredible. We know what should and shouldn't happen, right from wrong, etc.. We've always functioned just as other skype groups have, discussing our own character from time to time whenever need be or when a question is asked. Albeit we may be a bit more easygoing and a bit rowdy at times, but that's just how it's preferred to be.

Things like this weren't a problem two months ago, it's unbelievable to see how far things have spiraled out of control. I'm just speaking as someone who would like things to return to normal, and I hope that there is a chance that they will soon...

Please regard this as a letter of apology for the recent problems that I caused you by moving your belongings in the parking garage without your permission.

Believe me, I had no intention of causing you any problems. Over the long weekend I decided to rearrange my space in the garage and install some new shelving on the front wall opposite my parking space. While I was at it I thought I would also tidy up the entire garage. It was during that process that I noticed that your boxes of books were stored, what I thought was, dangerously close to the electric heating element. So, I took the liberty of moving those boxes to the other side of the garage. It didn't occur to me at the time that this would block the entry and exit on the passenger side of your vehicle.

After you brought this to my attention Monday evening I immediately moved your boxes back to where they were stored originally. As you suggested, by stacking them carefully I was able to place them so that there was sufficient safe clearance from the heating element. I trust you will find everything in order now.

I'm really sorry that I didn't check with you first before moving your belongings. I can now see how it would have upset you to return after the holiday weekend and find your belongings moved for no apparent reason. All I can say is that it won't happen again.

What is not a valid reason is saying "I'm taking control of this thread because legal reasons"

Trying to make it seem like there is some higher authority or direct threat requiring this action when in fact, it is a personal decision to avoid any issues which may or may not happen.
