To be clear I didn't "go back and label my vote as pressure," I actually properly labeled the INITIAL vote as pressure but also stated a new vested scumread on JeXs. It's not like I was backing off of him.

His reason for me being scum was a bad reason for voting him. After clearing that up he still acted like I was scum and claimed to need to "reread me." Still waiting for this btw

I'm not finished, but I realize I misreads some of Jex's posts. I asked "When did I insult you?", and I thought he responded with "It's called being an asshole", meaning my line of questioning was me being an asshole. I know realize this was actually directed towards me saying he forgot his scum read. I don't really see how that's really being an asshole, but I thought Jex was just continually telling me I was an asshole instead of answering my question. I now realize I played a big role in Jex's reaction, and that it wasn't as severe as I thought it was. I thought he was just insulting me again and again without answering.

@ Chaco ill tackle jex scum soon. but ill have you know that it mostly all came from around the first third - first half of this game, and feel the same empathy toward jexs getting mauled. its also interesting what you said about jex not wanting to attract that attention, but whats scummier: a player whos getting bombarded with (clearly) bad accusation trying to logically defend and substantiate his defense, or one who tries to simply brush off and deflect the accusations?

are you saying that maven is the one throwing his vote around or kantrip?

That's really a tough call. Both get done. I'd say the latter though, because it's defiance and doesn't show the contriteness to try and show a defense. Even against piss poor attacks.

Both, truthfully. Maven is all over the place in the beginning of the game, Kantrip's play just doesn't seem like town Kantrip to me. Much more opportunistic and reasoning with a newbie to push a lynch on truly horrid ground... I would think Kantrip better than to go with that push with clear townie reads, imo.

Also, I don't remember who mentioned it, because I had to look back to find your questions, Gorf...but, I don't see JeXs' defensiveness like he was in Stat Builder. That was clear scum, here is like...eh, pissed off at the game JeXsy.

ill let chaco tackle this, but youre part of the meta/conspiracy theory regime. how can you feel that his credibility is tarnished if he uses meta as a frame of reference?

Using meta to draw parallels is one thing and it has its place.

Player A exhibits behaviour in past game. Player B notices the same behaviour from Player A in future game. Player B makes connections between games where Player A exhibited the same behaviour to draw conclusion that Player A is the same alignment as in past game.

This would be totally fine.

However, Chaco is using the ABSENCE of repeated behaviour to draw his conclusions:

Player A exhibits behaviour in past game. Player A does not exhibit behaviour in present game. Player B concludes that Player A must be of differing alignment than in past game.

This is not okay.

Basically what I'm saying is just because jexs acted one way as scum in one game, it doesn't mean that's the only way he's capable of acting as scum. Seeing him behave differently that he did in that one game does not mean you can call him town. There is nothing stopping him from being scum reacting differently to pressure than he has in the past. Yes he looks fed up with the game, but besides this not happening last time he was scum, Chaco has no reason to call jexs town from it.

I'd ask Chaco to point out when I tried to push a lynch on horrid ground and why my interactions with maven show opportunism and manipulation. Those points stand on their own, but the sentence "Kantrip doesn't look like town kantrip" is garbage and needs to be ****ed out of Chaco's vocabulary

I was planning on waiting for more posts, but I guess I'll post now.

I was going to write up a huge thing about Chaco/Jex, but when re-reading Chaco's posts, I started to actually think more about my whole play style, and had to re-read the thread.

I still think Jex is suspicious, I still feel his freak out means something, but I can't be positive. I also checked out the Stat mafia. I was expecting to find Jex acting the same, but I don't really see many similarities between the two. So, Unvote

Based on the links Chaco gave me, Potassium seems to fit the bill, but I'm not sold. When Chaco was at L-1, I asked Potassium to join in and hammer, but he refused. Then, when the attention was on Jex, Potato voted...Gorf. He also called out that Bardull was at L-1, which as mafia he might not have called out attention to.

I feel out of the loop with no "meta game" to go on, so I'm going to try and read some of these other threads here.

Actually, scrap that Potato defense. Thinking more, if he had hammered a townie based on the suggestion of a newb he would probably be the first person to be lynched the next day. His vote on Gorf could have been him trying to use Jex as a scum anchor, to hold in place for later while we lynched his "scummy" partner, and when that failed be like "oh well Jex was suspicious before anyways" and push for him.
