I've got a real day off for the first time in ages tomorrow, so I'll be in supersonic catch-up mode tonight. Sincerest apologies to Tandora and everyone playing for being so absent. Too many cool-flavored mafia games going on this time of the year for a guy who works in retail.

I'm not understanding my failed attempts at a wagon as the only reasoning for me being scum. And scum hunting? Do you really think I was starting the wagon for the hell of it? It was to probe at Glyph to see if I could get something scum worthy out of him, which I don't have much to go off of as of yet from him.

I forget who asked me this because I'm still mobile(Internet at my house is out...hopefully will be fixed soon), but as for Joey being a "diva" poster, he's really kinda neutral for a while and plays nice right before he will lash out with a scum read on someone and stick with it for a good while.

Though that's just how I experienced it in Higurashi mafia.
You ask questions to catch scum in a lie, as well as make them stay active to gain information to trap them with their scummates from their lies and actions.

You didn't make any distinction or reason why we should vote Glyph outside of an RVS like post. Give a tangible reason for us to vote him, same for other wagons you try to start.

@Gorf: I can see town intent from this if I think of it from his perspective. If an experienced player did this I would vote them but if I think about it from Auspher's perspective from a newer player point of view, I can see why he would try to stick out with those posts. Noob scum wants to hide and not give anything, which in turn is what people are saying of his fluff. However, Auspher would do this as town as well, I know he would based on Higurashi. So I can't take that alone as a scum tell on him.

He was scum in Moderator Mafia in Disco Room, though he replaced out pretty quickly due to finals.

I like the case you made and can see why you would want him dead, but I will not be pushing an Auspher lynch without more info.

Dear Auspher,

As your scummate, I would appreciate it if you would not get yourself lynched on Day One. Please answer questions as they are addressed to you.

Not what I asked but I'll make it clear.

More so, if you admit that and after the fact can't see a reason to vote him. Then there was no point.

Is so, is there a reason you thought people were going to bandwagon with you on voting Glyph?

I wasn't sure if people would bandwagon with me or not. It was a waste of what I think you guys call a "gambit"(unsure).

Dear Auspher,

Are you mentally ******** or blind? This will help me figure out how best to try and carry your ***. I assume you are one or the other, as you have ignored me yet again and have apparently misplaced your vote. I'm willing to return it to you if you will but answer my questions.

Your's Truly,

Me

You lie. There are only two possible explanations for that question. I can deduce this easily due to the fact that you are not a moron. It is obvious from my interaction with EE that I was and still am not going to give you a straight answer. This brings me back to my original question: why ask that?

You could have asked as an easy way to add to your post in an attempt to gain town points without risking any real interaction. Or it could be something else I can envision.

Mentos, if you are town, be entirely truthful with your answer instead of giving me the mafia version of political correctness that was your last answer.

:phone:
More people pushing for you to give an answer=higher reasoning to provide it. Literally your first post of the game that was actually related to the game, you don't mention a SINGLE THING that had happened in the game prior to that post and drop your vote. I don't care if EE asked the same and you said no, I'm going to ask again because you had no reason whatsoever to not substantiate at all to EE, and by more people asking maybe it would make you realize that you should. Quite simple reasoning actually.

Not to mention, you say I would do it to "gain town points without any real interaction?" There was blatantly going to be interaction, in one of 4 ways:

1)You decide to actually say something of value. This is most beneficial to town as a whole.
2)You say that your response has not changed since EE asked. This benefits no one/changes nothing, but does tell me that you're going to be bullheaded.
3)You completely ignore me, which tells me you don't want to defend your refusal to offer substantiation.
and finally 4(could have also been 2a I guess))You state that your answer hadn't changed, then proceed to call me out on asking you again.(did not expect this one honestly, but s'cool, I actually like that this led to some conflict :D)

Now this begs a question to you: Why would you call me out for doubling up a pertinent question that you had refused to answer? When someone refuses to answer a simple question and provide any substance, that sticks out like a sore thumb to me. Why wouldn't I question it as well to raise your inclination to actually respond? Nothing would ever get answered if people didn't continue to ask about things that had been tip-toed around or outright refused. But instead of choosing to actually give an answer, instead of choosing to just say no again, you try to make it out to be a bad thing that I would further pressure someone with literally ZERO substance in the game to provide some.

tl;dr: I asked you because it's something that needs answered. I don't care if you refused to answer it before, it's still a pertinent question, and I'm still going to push it. With that said,

Why are you voting Auspher? Furthermore, since you have not commented on anything in the game prior to your vote, what do you think of Acrostic, Soup, and Joey? I expect at LEAST one of these questions to be answered, instead of refusing to offer any substance whatsoever to the town.

Incidentally,

Also, FoS EE for his 167. Alleging that I'm going after Ryu based on his status as a player is lame coming from somebody who's going after Acrostic - somebody who at least has made honest attempts to hunt scum and whose actions can almost completely be justified with a combo of idiosyncrasy and inexperience. You also have no issues with KevinM pushing Dooms without actually going into detail either.

:059:
You responded to this post from Gheb, and I think you refuted it well. However, since that point Ryker has come in and done the same thing you called Gheb for, plopped his vote on a weak player and given no substantiation. However, when you asked him for it and he said no, you simply backed off. Why doesn't he get the same callout Gheb did? Why did you push Gheb for substance the way you did, but let Ryker off with the word reasons?

Wanted to see how Auspher would react when he comes back and how Ryker was going to interact with Aus in an uncontrolled environment. Results were too WIFOM-y and unhelpful for my liking, but that's Ryker for you.

I also, after all these years, know a lost cause when I see it. Gheb may be bullheaded, but the sad fact of the matter is Ryker isn't going to respond to any meager amount of pressure and I don't think it's worth the time it would take to pressure him with a posse, especially when his responses would all be WIFOM-y smug BS. If Ryker decides he's not going to do something, regardless of situation or alignment, he's not going to. It's ****ty, but hey, whatever. I only backed down because I don't want to waste my time.

Fair enough EE. I disagree, as I think it's worth the effort to get him to give substance, but I can see where you're coming from. Just wanted to make sure you had some sort of legitimate reasoning for backing down because quite frankly I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to determine your alignment >_<

Mentos, three questions. By the way, your post directed at me didn't hold my attention, so I ignored it.

1.) Am I scum?
2.) What do you think I will be doing in thread forty eight hours from now?
3.) If one of Gheb and EE is scum, who is it?

Don't hide behind this. This is deflection, which is a scum tell.

What are you going to do now? Who will you look at then? You haven't asked questions to other people.even hinting that you are looking for scum.

Last chance, where are you going to look for scum and tell me why you will look there. Give me an answer to this as well, refusal to answer will result in a vote.

I'm waiting to get internet back at my house. Being mobile makes scum hunting difficult. I already said this.

Vote for me if you're unsatisfied. I don't care.

Glyph is null, you are null, Joey is null, Ryker is scum, gorf is null, Evil Eye is leaning town...

I'll be able to provide more insight day 2. You don't want to be voting me now. Trust me when I say that you are making a stupid mistake.

Now we're getting somewhere.

Let's talk about EE and Ryker then, why are they scum and town for you receptively.

No matter what alignment you are, don't make posts like this.

Also why Day 2? That's quite a bit away, Decemeber 23rd is the deadline, is your internet gonna be out that long?

I was hoping you weren't implying that. >>

Also stop evading my questions, Ryker and EE reasons for these reads from your memory if you can't view this well.

EE seems town because of how much he is helping town in his posts. He's doing a great job of investigating, where Ryker doesn't even try to provide anything of substance and is just a detriment to the game.

You are leaning scum now if your vote stays.

Trust me, it's hard to keep track right now, and a lot easier when I have access to a computer.

Sorry. :(

I swear, whenever EE posts a long response I feel like he's doing it on purpose just to troll me -.-
You gotta give me some time to read through all that an respond to it so don't think I'm ignoring you - for the moment I'm going into the stuff that I can quickly respond to.

@Gheb: your Red Ryu case strikes me as weaker than you're making it sound. Are you really dead-set on Ryu/a Joey+Ryu scumteam over what you've stated? Are you keeping your eyes open to the more noticeable behavior at hand and just ignoring it, or are you so caught up on this that you're just letting things slide that should be noticed by everyone?
1.) I'm never dead set on anything. I explained my rationale on why I think Ryu is scum and why Ryu + Joey works out well in my mind; And if my case is weak ... well I was reluctant to throw out my case to begin with because I'm not a big fan of them. If it helps you though, the way Ryu joined the Auspher wagon screams scum to me as well.
I feel more certain about Ryuscum than about EEscum atm mainly because I got a lot of flak for my points against him and I don't think a lot of that is really justified. But "dead set" doesn't exist in my mind.

2.) Noticeable =/= scummy. I don't think Ryker, Auspher or Acrostic are playing scummy tbh if that's what you're referring to as "more noticeable behavior". I'm not ignoring it but my reaction to it is so indifferent that from an outsider's point of view it might look like I'm ignoring it. But I don't - I just don't really care for it right now.

3.) I'm more inclined to let these things "slide" but only because I feel like I have a good reason to do so. I'm a lot less inclined to let Glyph / Circus being useless so far slide as well as Frozen being completely inactive.

Accepted. Try to get an actual read on him before the end of the Day. He is a slippery knee-grow.
If it helps you, the last 10+ game mentos and I played together in, one of us always became suspicious to the other within like the 1st two Days. He's actually the one player I'm least worried about getting a read on in this game.
