Out of courtesy, I'm not revealing my scummate, but I couldn't play it anymore.
It might be me. The Priest part of my role may have been designed to counterbalance my inherent towniness. Vigging me may be recommended
so that I don't have to read if the game continues o_o I hate replacing and was just being nice mwahaha

ryker isn't scum with J

gg i win
yeah **** me

Also, now it makes sense. Janitor is told what the flips are? Damn, I didn't realize that. So they had a Stalker and a Janitor and a Roleblocker... and I find it hard to believe Ryker's giving up like this if he actually has another scummate... unless it's Kat? :bee:

Or, there could be a very common mafia role called Godfather, just saying.
confirmed for Joey. Kill Joey or Kat, lynch the other, if that doesn't work, stare awkwardly at Glyph and wonder if this is some huge gambit.

Also I want to apologize for saying mean things on D2 Asdioh. I've noticed that being volatile seems to let me live longer than I should in mafia games so I kind of milked the opportunities I found to start arguments since they help me read people anyway.

Except apparently all of my efforts to not die were meaningless because mafia couldn't kill. Sigh.

I ran into a cop/track/vig with no kill. What the hell do you want from me?
Or it could be Chaco. **** you Ryker, at first I was under the assumption that you were the last one.

It's like a 0% chance of it being Auspher, right?

It's ok EE, Gheb probably would have killed you just for the hell of it anyway.

I didn't really mean the part about g life being scum so much as you betting your priesthood as though you actually were Mr. Eko and a priest

Also I want to apologize for saying mean things on D2 Asdioh.
And I want to apologize for trolling essentially the whole game. I mean, I troll when I play normally, but the exception is that in those cases, I actually read and do other stuff aside from just trolling and sheeping.

Asdioh I forgive you.

Just take a page from the book of EE and don't open scum up to a quickhammer when people want to use the Day for some palpable reason, like being V/LA and wanting a chance to reread ;_;

It's funny how all 3 (now 4) of our scumlynches have been firmly established as scum before their flips.

Gheb got outed as the SK, and the only debate was "should we let him live a bit longer as a makeshift vig?"

Gord had a guilty, and then did weird wifomy stuff.

J... I forgot exactly why he was confirmed as scum, because Chaco tracked him? And then he quickhammered himself and we were all x3

And Ryker turned himself in out of the blue, partly in order to save EE the pains of rereading this monster.
Even though he supposedly has a scummate, and EE will just have to reread anyway.

...

???

Still really certain he was ****in' around. Ryker wouldn't throw in the towel when he still has a scummate. That would just be hell and unsportsmanlike for the other guy.

But what if it is Glyph and my gut was right and this is an all-or-nothing gambit?

And if mafia had no kill, why would Gord get the SK lynched ASAP? :(

And what's the counterbalance for mafia having no kill, and the vig being safe to claim after the SK dies? (this is more of a setup thing)

And dammit, why is there a nurse AND a doctor when the only killing roles are a supposed townie, and a SK that can be quickly be outed by a stalker/tracker/maybe cop/whatever Kat's role is?

I can understand why your head hurts.

Why would Ryker champion G Life so hard before throwin' in dat towel though? Obviously he's throwing us the mafia's being unable to kill and whatever, so I guess he needs G Life to be alive and killing people so the game isn't like. Impossible.

Kuz's bedroom.
Game has ended. Flavor and shout outs when I get home from work tomorrow. Way too much to say and it's almost 3am here.

I had pre-written this when Ryker mentioned to me that he was considering throwing in the towel.

First off, I want to say I messed up. This set up seemed fine in planning, but once it hit the table I started to see a lot of potential problems. I tried to fix them where I could, but others I figured out
way too late.

1) Janitoring non Mafia kills. Oh god, I realized during Day 1 that it could be problematic. Discussed it with my co-mods and decided to leave it as it for ALL Night Kills figuring a tracker could find the Janitor.

Clarified it as noncompulsive because original post was worded as always in use.

2) Letting the Stalker identify the Smoke Monster. In retrospect, I would have given character names only, leaving the player to depend on doing personal research OR knowing the show. I would have identified Smokey as John Locke.

3) No Mafia Night Kill. My original thought was that the Indy and Mafia would unofficially work together to eliminate townies. Mafia had a LOT of information manipulation so working together they could control lynches which I felt was in flavor of the show.

I didn't think of a fix fast enough, but in retrospect I would have made Kat a Mafia doctor killer who could pick NK or Protect once per night and made a chain of command after that with NK or your basic ability once per night.

4) Would have made SK compulsory.

5) I realize the Nightkills were confusing. Having gone with the catch all janitor option, I figured I'd leave it ambiguous on what was happening to people. Much like the show. (Which leads to the below
comment.)

6)Not sure how I could have fixed the Doc, Tracker, Cop combo. You really have to have Jack, Kate, and Sawyer for a Lost game and those really were the perfect roles for each one. I feel each character I used was given an appropriate flavor. Unfortunately, that does not make for a balanced or fun game.

7) I would have simply replaced Acrostic immediately instead of asking him to hang on. Would have replaced Soup sooner once he lost internet access. Would not have replaced Circus and let the lynch go through. I feel these choices messed with the flow of the game.

This was my first time modding a large game and with lots of PR.

Thanks to everyone for essentially being playtesters for me and helping me learn a little bit more about game balance. Any further constructive criticism is welcomed.

I stayed alive.

I survived the Island.

My claim kept me alive and 0% chance of being lynched.

Anyways, on a serious note, it's a learning experience, Tanny. Thanks for running the game!

Genuinely sorry about the way I handled my leave, Tanny. It really was just very poor timing for me; I didn't have the time to dedicate to a large game in which I needed to keep up appearances consistently with everything else I had going on. I had never replaced out of a game before, so I was initially determined to stick it out. But when it became apparent that I really couldn't do that successfully, it kind of ****ed things over. Also sorry to my scummates for my lack of presence. Ryker, I was especially looking forward to being scummies with you. Maybe it'll happen again when I'm not swamped with other ****.

Shout out to J for inheriting a sinking slot and getting it to float for a while. 'Preciate it.

Also, Evil Eye, CAN WE PLEASE BE ON THE SAME SIDE ONE OF THESE DAYS?

Flavorwise, I think this setup was really successful. In practice, I think it definitely sucked for certain players, but it was at least interesting.

oh uh hi this is EE's Heroics alt herp derp

Vote: No MVP

Ryker made a heroic effort and all but I mean. It's always playing the long game to read Ryker with me, and the instant he claimed, the unspoken possibility for everything I said was "or Ryker is jan Ryker's probably jan oh god"

idk what to say. i feel like if there were only 3 mafia, the game should have been reduced to like, 15 players. maybe get rid of a VT and/or the priest

This is more of a celebration that I got through this game without blowin' my brains out than our win, but hey. It's tradition. Gotta do it.
