He said he had the option to No Kill and took it so he could appear to be a vig.

It's not a shot in the dark. Definitely far from it. Why are you so worried about it?
I'm not. I like to give people flak when they try to push me for being inactive when I'm V/LA.

Which actually makes very little sense considering how many inactives we had sitting around, now that I think about it

On page 11.

I didn't like Gheb this early, still don't know he was let off the hook so fast. Joey was right to vote him, even for the wrong reasons.

Ryker's town. It took him getting to his computer and actually posting to fully substantiate the read but that's townRyker to me. We'll see if this changes over the course of the game.

I don't get why the Acro wagon happened the way it did. Yes, there was a chance he was scum doing the same thing he did in UTrick'd2, but the case on him was being overly defensive, lots of fluff and filler in his posts, and...I can't even remember the rest. This was all substantiated from posts on page 4 or so. While I agree that you can catch scum at any point in the game (AcroFling himself was caught very early in UTrick'd2, IR in D.Gray), I just...I don't like why town simply sat on his read or kept bringing him up as often as they did. At that point, they were better off focusing on players who did deserve to be bandwagoned (Gheb, Glyfe, and Kata all deserved more pressure for different reasons to say the least) and yet the only bandwagon beyond two votes was 3 on Red Ruy, who had been there and one could gain a good stance from. D1's a great time to get your stances and people simply just sat on their hands a lot in the early phases. I expect this to change soon, according to the notes I got there's an almost-lynch on Acro, an almost lynch on Lurkus, an almost-lynch on mentos, and then a lynch on Red Ruy. Either D2 was stupid short or D1 really picks up after this.

Huh. Gives me insight into his motives then.

Ding ding ****ing ding.

Frankly, I don't buy it. I can see his excuses but there's no sense in accepting them. That's theorycraft and I don't care for the constant "What-ifs" that theorycrafting brings about. The only thing that makes me stay my hand is that both kills didn't flip last night. That smells of something other than an indy's work.

@Ryker: Does Chaco usually read as null 12 pages into the game? I can understand inactivity but the few posts he does make rarely involve him taking a stance.

I'm still reading. No major questions yet. Chaco actually did enough to retract the last one. It's mostly just comments other than the ever-hanging question of "how did Gheb live to D2".

No but seriously, I can't think of anything that I wouldn't want cliffhangers to ruin, so most questions will probably be held until tomorrow. I'm still formulating a readslist.

This "Daykill" is interesting.

I think the other thing is that people need to look hard at that period I'm looking at now where there's just a general lack of direction. EE's doing everything in his power but he needs someone to throw him a vote where he wants it to get something done and that's not even happening at the moment. Either this is one hell of a case of too many chiefs, not enough Indians Native Americans, or there's scum at work here. I'm trying to decide which is the case, but with a roster of players like mentos, ee, chaco, kata, ryker, and gheb, the bulk of whom were pretty much the majority posters of the phase, i lean more towards the former being the case (imagine how this would be if ff were here too).

Is it worth dedicating time to reading Mentos? He's not coming back but with a read on his alignment it'd give me insight into some of the directions he's pushed.

At first glance, scum might think that WL is putting more effort into the game than me, and so may deem him the more threatening of the two.

They're mistaken though.

The cool interior of the cave was a welcome relief compared to the heat of the beach. The water was fresh and cold. There was fresh fruit growing nearby. It was the perfect retreat.

Except for the empty coffin.

Who had it belonged to? Who was it for? And most importantly, where was the body?

Bodies don't get up and walk away...right?

Someone walked forward to examine the coffin. "Don't worry, I have experience in this sort of thing," they murmured. "You'd be surprised by what kind of evidence you can find."

After a few minutes of examination, they cried, "I know who it was for! It belongs to you!" pointing at a Man in Black.

"It's true," he said calmly. "You caught me. But we can work together to defeat the Others. All you have to do is trust me."

But the Survivors were too scared of this stranger who had taken the form of a dead man. They swarmed him, ready to tear him apart with their bare hands. The mob eagerly beat the man. Before he died, the man changed forms to that of a black cloud.

Gheb, The Man in Black/The Smoke Monster has been lynched!

Night 2 has begun. Get your actions in before January 2nd, 11:59 PM EST.

If actions are all in before deadline, Day 3 will begin.

Two Survivors are scouting the land. Even with the demise of the Smoke Monster, there was still the threat of the Others. It was in the best interest of the band to keep a strong perimeter. Every day they widened their search a little more. If they could find the Other's camp, they would be that much stronger. Or, even better, maybe they would finally find help!

"What's that?" one of the Surivors yelled. Perched precariously on the edge of a cliff was an old beechcraft. The yellow paint was faded and cracked. Vines were intertwined around the body of the plane. It had obviously been here a long time.

"Maybe there's a working radio," one of them suggested.

"I hope the battery is working," the first joked.

"Even if it isn't, I'm sure there's supplies we can scavenge or clues about this place."

Quickly they used some vines as makeshift rope to climb with. The first Survivor climbed up the side while the second secured the vines. The climber scurried into the craft before the second could follow. "You won't believe this!," the voice echoed oddly. "It's full of statues of the Virgin Mary. They're full of...aaaaah!"

The plane was unable to take the new weight of the explorer and had begun to shift. Thankfully for the second Survivor, he had not started climbing before the plane lost its balance. Unfortunately for the first Survivor, he was not able to jump clear as the plane fell off the cliff.

The second Survivor panicked. Instead of checking on his friend, he bolted back to the caves. Maybe someone there would know what to do?

When the rescuers arrived less than ten minutes later, they were in for quite a shock. The plane, except for the Virgin Mary statues, was empty. Except for a few splatters of blood, there was no sign of anyone having been in this plane.

Rajam is gone!

Day 3 has begun!

With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch!

Yeah that's kind of bull but whatever.

So did anyone else eyeball Gheb's flip kind of suspiciously? He flipped as the MIB/Smoke Monster. It didn't, however, say serial killer anywhere at all. Which implies to me he had more to his role than that... otherwise why wouldn't tandora just put SK in his role title.

Joey there's no real reason to assume that, I've seen SKs just be SK in a big ol' game. The lack of other powers could just be bad balance. Regardless yeah I'm leaning towards there being more to Gheb's role, and therefore, Asdioh! YOU. ARE. A. TOY.

Also this:

Gheb said:
Now the question is wouldn't a Stalker + Janitor + BP SK a pretty damn powerful opposition to the town? Unless town has some pretty OP roles on its side I would lean away from such a stacked opposition, making me believe that Gord is probably not a Stalker but truthful about his claim. I do think there's a mafia janitor in this game though.

First post was D1, towards the end of it. Second post was d2, when he was trying to WIFOM his *** off so we'd leave him alive.

Honestly I really think the difference in flips is just laziness on Tandora's part. She went to sleep like right after she finished that flavor. I'd love to get that cleared up though.

I'd just like to know what the hell point he's making, although the fact that he was outed at this point makes his posts less interesting.

I think he was trying to say "HEY I'M NOT THIS BROKEN, THERE'S NO WAY THIS **** EXISTS, I'M NOT A THREAT AT ALL JUST TRUST ME GUYS K?"

Except that first line completely gives him away. I don't think anyone suspected him of being that much. Again, I'll double-check (I think I forgot a lot of minute details during the night), but I'm pretty sure that no one accused him of being Stalker+BP+Jan SK. It seems like a massive Freudian Slip, one made in extreme haste because he was trying not to die.

Also, vote: Chaco

..............uhhhhhhhhhhh

He's saying wouldn't mafia stalker + mafia janitor + BP SK be too much opposition for town. He was talking about the theoretical entirety of the bad guys, not one role.

Just to clarify, Gheb is an Independent Serial Killer. There is no actual rules difference between the disappearances night 1 and the disappearance night 2. It is flavor only.

Thank you for flying with Oceanic.
