bomber should totally find himself in utah so we can all get waffles
Ohh, now I have incentive to travel that far north one day. Waffles and waitress flirting it is! Or you know, I could play blackout roulette and hope that when I black out after drinking one night I miraculously find myself in Utah.

I'm just here to say that I hella respect the Link mains. You guys give it 110% everytime during tourney\pool matches like Legan & Xavier.

I know. I'm just giving him **** for giggles.
Sarcasm, why must you be so hard to detect online?! On a different note, I really miss Legan... He was a revolutionary for Brawl Link mains.

My current Link mods:
Phazon Link = Green
Magic Armor Link = Red
Zora Tunic Link = Blue
Fierce Diety Link = White
Some really cool demonic skin I found = Dark

Now what would cover the yellow costume...

Can you post pics?

Yellow Link could be the old school colors. He won't be yellow though. Maybe a Pipit texture?

This is really random, but I was thinking about how we were talking about waffles while I was heading to school this morning, and then I remembered something. Wasn't there a Blue Link main called Waffles from back in the day? I miss that guy! What every happened to him?!

@Ano I'll check that out later.

@Coolwhip thanks. Link is extremely technical. You can't just run up and hit the opponent lol. Link gets nerfed something terrible on wifi :(

@Bomber yeah he went by Wafflez. He posted on AiB in the past. I think he got fed up with the imbalance and BS of SSBB and forum stuff. IDK what he's doing now.

Wafflez should come back because a lot of the BS has died now because people don't care about brawl anymore since Super Smash Bros. U has been announced.

@Rizen

I'd love to show y'all my pics of my Link skins (and some badass pictures of Link fighting demonic creatures). However, I have no idea how to take them... They're all saved on my SD Card, however. If you could show me a method, then I'd really appreciate that. (Because I've been meaning to share my epic pics to the public).

@Tesh

Good lawd that set dragged on forever. Nonetheless, loved that surprise finisher. xD

^I can't remember how to get screenshots of the memory card. Can you show the hack pack pics?

I'm officially rage-quitting the ladder. It's all about lag abuse. It's not skill in many cases and lag forces people to pick a lag characters and be spammy. I could lag abuse with G&W but I don't want to. It's stupid; I'd rather quit. What gets me is people act like there's no lag

Here I'm completely out playing with a 2 stock lead until it starts spiking at 3:10 and Ike gets a 2 stock comeback. Then the person says it didn't lag. RAGE. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0OnkS-1qKw&feature=player_detailpage&t=188 you call THAT not lagging?! All the good timing for punishes and spacing suddenly makes you lose

I'm done ranting :c

If you're in an active smash area or closer to people you can wifi than the Rocky Mountains, count your blessings. You don't know how lucky you are!

^ I'll be able to post the hack pics when I get home tomorrow. College orientation means busy day today. D:

Yeah, the fact that so many kids I played on the ladder were beating me (and I felt I was much better than them) was part of the reason I quit Wifi Brawl. That and the fact that everybody in my scene is a Melee player and dislike Brawl made the fire in me go out completely for the game. People really seem to take Wifi too seriously when in all honesty in drains like 60% of your full tech skill and one person always gets an advantage while the other a huge disadvantage. Stopped caring for it long ago, so am glad you're a part of the club now.

Don't feel bad. I don't like it anymore than you do.

So guys, I'm going to strategically feed the hype into this event, but for those who haven't taken notice to my new signature, I've decided to rattle a few cages for WHOBO 5. For those who haven't seen yet, I'm partaking in five, $200 MMs. After winning five, I've bumping up the stakes to $1000 for whoever is brave enough to sit down with me then. I have a list of my top five priority people who I will face off against. If I still have money after those five bouts, I will keep playing until I run out of money or my ride tells me I have to go. So the hot seat will be open to anyone who is brave. I'm not accepting any MMs unless they are $200 or $1000 (if/when I get that much to wager). This is a pretty big deal so I just wanted to introduce this to you guys to let you know what's going to happen this October. I'm going to be training my butt off between now and October to make sure I double my money. No mercy guys. This will probably get just as much hype as APEX would. It's going to be quite the show.

I'd pay millions to see Mr. R's Link and X's duke it out. Along with DLA's Ganon and Vermanubis'.

As of yesterday I became a character purist. I won't be using anymore secondaries in Smash tournaments. Hope none of you take this the wrong way, but I really think part of the reason X and Scizor were so successful is that they're willing to master every matchup with Link, even the insanely difficult -3 ones. It's just something I've noticed, and I'll follow their footsteps (though Armada is whom really inspired me to do this).

Don't worry, I've hardly ever used secondaries in tournaments mainly because my main is always my best and if it gets beat, my secondary certainly wouldn't be able to help me win. Also, in the event I, by some miracle, go to APEX this year, I asked to have my name be put down to represent Link at the APEX low tier tourny.

Nice :). I can help you train if you want but it's have to be wifi :/ .

I'm going to try to make it to more tournaments if nothing else happens. There all this low tier hate from people who never even used or played vs Link. Apex is a 99% sure not to go though :c

Thanks for the offer Rizen, but I'm still pretty adamant about not playing any form of Link on wifi. I'll just play Smash 64 to help me train. I just need to practice Link's fundamentals and I'll be fine.

Don't mention it then if it doesn't matter. You made me curious for nothing.

Here's the hack pics I owed you all:

My red and blue skins respectively:

My yellow skin:

White skin:

And I recently changed my dark Link skin to this because it looked badass:

And... As a bonus, three awesome Ganon skins.

Can someone please teach me how to use the spoiler thing?

I've always felt like I get a ton of props for actually using Link when I go to tourneys. Unless you're talking about the whole "LOL Link sux +3 MU for us" thing, which I don't really see that much of any more, I don't think Link gets a bad rap (outside of the fact that yeah, Link sux. Just not THAT bad :awesome: ) For the most part I think his MU Chart is pretty accurate. Now it is true he doesn't get much representation.

Personally, I'd say when push comes to shove and you're at a tourney, if you know you're not gonna win with Link because of a crazy MU but you have a second who might have a chance, go for it. Don't lean on them like a crutch, but it's stupid for me to try to take on MK's and Falco's with Link when I have a Wario, Wolf, and Peach I'm very comfortable with using. Just don't abuse them to the point they're your new main. When I went to tourneys I'd usually use Link for about 85-90% of my matches, and usually only swapped out if my opponent changed characters as a deliberate CP.

Also, that Nightmare skin is pretty sweet. Nightmare was my guy in Soul Calibur 2 :awesome:

I've realized that whenever I feel uncomfortable enough to use a different character then I'm simply not in a good zone mentally. I just know Link that much more thoroughly than my secondaries. There's exceptions but usually its not an mu that will scare me out of using Link as much as it is a player's playstyle.

I go 100% Link at tournies, but I'm using my secondaries 90% of the time in friendlies/smashfests because I love so many characters ^_^

I can agree that Link mains do need secondaries due to the heavy amount of bad MU's. My deal lies is that I already use high tiered characters that are viable enough (I don't believe in tiers in Project M) so I don't think secondaries are that necessary. :p

I knew most of my secondaries pretty well since I played them a lot so I was really comfortable with them. But yeah, sometimes a particular playstyle would be problematic too. I've also switched to Wario a handful of times due to Rainbow Cruise shenanigans (since you just know if they're gonna do that they're gonna pull out MK or G&W or something haha)

Yeah, if you use a higher tiered character, you can sometimes get away without using a secondary depending on their MU spread. And Link is a pretty much worthless secondary character anyway :awesome: I don't know anything about Project M though. Think I saw it one time being run at a tourney. I always preferred Brawl Minus :awesome: Ganondorf Warlock Punch unshieldable Hadouken blast of doom go!

Same here. Fun characters are your best when it comes to friendlies opposed to your mains. lol.

I always go all Link to rep him :smirk:. Secondaries can be good if you're confident with them and the MU. If you're not they're a bad idea even with a better MU.

I've considered using Zelda for CGers like DDD but we don't have any good DDDs here lol. Link/Zelda are the low tiers equivalent of Wolf/G&W in boarderlines. For making up for bad MUs.
