The way people are handling this issue isn't at all surprising. Regardless of what **** I may talk about players, I still have consideration for my fellow competitors in a tournament setting because those are the people that compose the actual tournament itself.


Shoutouts to Ally for winning/being one of few people who attend tournaments with a goal, and see that that goal is met.

Okay so I just read about 85% of this, and skimmed the last bit of it.

From what I'm reading is this.

Top players are selfish ***hats, that really are only playing for money? I can see the sarcasm in these posts, clearly. What M2k did, whether it was intentional or not, was wrong, and should have left the second he forfeited. When I saw him at BBC, I could tell he wasn't having fun. Do top players really treat this game as a "Job?" That's just sad, I'm not going to lie.

I have to agree if the top players are just going to be selfish, they need to be banned from the tournaments period. If they aren't having fun, and are just there creating chaos, drama, and taking people's money, then they really don't need to be there at all. People go to tournaments to have fun, meet new people, and play Smash. Money just being the annoyance of getting in, and maybe a little bonus if you played well. (At least that's the way I see it) Clearly "fun" to one of these guys is just earning the money.

Shame, disgrace, and no respect.

Regardless of if top players are only playing for money, consideration for the REST of the participants should still remain a priority because the community isn't just top players, it's ALL players.

I am completely serious with this question. WHO IN THIS COMMUNITY IS A TOP PLAYER AND LOOKED AT AS A ROLE MODEL?! I'd also like to know why. These people are good at a video game my friend, they are not supposed to be role models. To the best of my knowledge quite a few top players don't even have jobs or drive...although I could be wrong.

This is really late and somewhat off topic now, so I'll keep it short. Role models really don't have to come in any set form. All you have to do is look up to them in some way, lol. I look up to some top players for the fact that they're very good at something I enjoy and because they're cool people. This group of people, at least to me, is shrinking.

I had a great time...good to see locally we still have a lot of people playing ( no worries for me anymore )


about the splitting...its been happening for so long...its just annoying ...every community deals with this...what is done is done and since nothing happened that day we cannot change it. Leaving personal issues aside they should do what they want not be forced to do something "for the fans". Remember Anti stopped entering singles for a while just to chill and not deal with this and it helped him a bit. The bigger the tournament the more we want to see our players play I get that but forcing them wont help. Let those who are close to Jason deal with it. Keitaro was a nice guy and convinced him to play...it just so happens he played Dabuz who busted his *** and did really well..


Sammy - do not let jason forfeiting the next match take away from you. You did your best and did an amazing job. Closer and closer you are to beating him. Keep it up and never give up.

Keitaro - great job. I loved every min of it...I can only hope VCX is as great as this was....see u at zenith bro LOL

I missed a TON of people ( EE I hate u for beating me but super close set and <3 ). I got bodied by nakat but I choked no johns though im terribad XD. I will keep playing cause I love this game and I was happy with everything here.
