There's not really much you can do other than participate, play, and discuss. I mean, I posted a whole thread of possible untapped potential and barely got feedback, but I've got more that I really don't care to share if you no one is interested.

Also, hopefully I should have videos up soon, but meh, I say that all the time and it has yet to happen.

Wow, it's sad how the Pit boards have got even worse when just a few months ago I thought they were pretty much dead.

Does anyone have any suggestions on stuff we could talk about which is Pit related?

well on a Japanese tier list in the tactical section pit is ranked #4, i feel thats something to talk about. are we missing something?

Well, for Japan, let's see which other characters are around, like Fox. Pit doesn't have much trouble with Fox, and probably Pit isn't facing too much bad matchups to be put at a quick halt.
Also, the stage set has changed dramatically, with much less stages. I only know BF, FD, Lylat, and YI are around. So there are less stages for other chars to take advantage on, where many of Pit's stages are still here.

More research needed of course.

the same characters are around japan, the top 3 of the tier list is MK, Snake, Falco then i think number 5 is marth who from what i hear has a lot of representation in Japan. I guess my point is just b/c fox is high does not mean they dont play characters we consider good that give pit problems

i watched some japanese matches and they seemed to be playing on delfino a lot.

Also how do most pits fight fox? i figured he would be somewhat tough do to his reflector forcing a approach (idk i am still new with pit but it seems this way to me)

My understanding is that Masashi planks like a carpenter.

That being said, I do think (as seemingly every post in tactical referring to Pit mentions) that Pit is a fairly undeveloped character with almost no representation relative to his placement on the tier list. While more players do not necessarily advance a metagame faster, they do help to bring up the overall skill level of the character's community. More players means more vids, more discussion, more of a chance to run into each other in a tourney. The only other Pit mains I've ever fought (that I can think of, anyways) are Sherman and KY (Who I hear isn't quitting any more?).

The only Fox I've ever fought is Zeton, who utterly destroyed me.

aww the arrow looping thread is closed.
I found that if we mix arrow looping with angelic walk we can stall the arrow and control it quit well. That's if you're good at looping of course.

Test it out, shoot one backwards or upwards or both towards the sky. After shooting your arrow immediately angel walk like 2x or however depending on your stall, then return it.

The way pit slides while angel walking helps alot for grabs and f-tilt.

You do realize looping or this Angelic Step thing doesn't help in the high competitive combat do you not? The only exception is Yass from France, but alas, every country is different.

All matches can't be straight forward, and it's not ever always guaranteed.
Its just extra flexibility you can use in pit.
Given the spacing and accuracy, arrow looping alone is too difficult to use... then again we don't always have to hit, and not every projectile is 100% accurate.

That angel step thing, I never used it before but it fixes spacing much easier than dashing.

Angel step isn't bad actually. I wanna start using that a bit more. Hey does anyone know if when you reflect Snakes Grenades if they do more knockback? I'm pretty sure they do but I'm too lazy to test it.

Hey Pit Board's Im Back :D

I ditched pit when I 1st played this game cuz, well Pit aint the greatest character, but he is alot of Fun, and after improving my game in Brawl i've officially decieded he is my Mid Tier Secondary... Somehow from not playing him at all and just improving with my main [Diddy] I like figured out how to play Pit more effiecently... (I was NEVER able to utilize Pit's ATs at like all before, but now i have incorperated Wingdashing and Other AT's into my game and it works well..) [i also never used my Down+B sheild to like Gimp ppl and do crazy stuff but now i can... weird...] But ever since i got my own Wii and did some Texture hacking (Pit has some of the SICKEST Texture's [Ex. "Fallen Angel", "Sora", A Black and Purple Pit) i started to enjoy playing as Pit again, so yea...

You know something that I find irritating? I go to these tournaments and I am in NO way imaginable a slouch with Pit, but nobody takes me seriously. It's like as soon as I choose Pit, they're all like, "Hey, you're choosing Fairy Boy!" Seriously? "Fairy Boy?" I know it's not good for me to get annoyed by this. It just gets on my nerves because most of the people I know are all Meta Knight lovers. I love Pit, and I don't like it if anybody insults my pal! Heh, I consider Pit to be my pal... I'm strange, or maybe just sad.

Well everyone's different, and that's y i hated communities and tournaments, for most main or second a top tier, and most belittle others, as if they were Nazis towards the others. But when u beat em with ur underrated char, the reward seems quite sweet.

Especially when the person loses to a char they are supposed to have an advantage over (i.e: Marth or G&W main losing to a Pit) or if a high tier loses to such underrated chars. It's so rewarding to gain some respect after victory when at such disadvantages.

Underrated is all it is. Being able to gimp characters easily and the fact that when pit uses his blue wings to recover rings a dinner bell for an easy gimp. Dodge his arrows and just beat him up close. That's their common thought. On top of that, not many play against pit, so the opponents meta-game knowledge on him is still like last year-ish.

Every Pit should play gayer, just saying. Not enough Pit's play gay enough and thats why hes not really repped in the US, while Masashi plays really gay and does extremely well.
