It's a matter of learning how many pummels to do at each % difference. Unless i already know how fast they pummel my rules are

50-60 buffer 1 pummel directly upon grabbing then throw

90-115 two pummels( can get away with 3 if they are mediocre mashers)

115+ three+ pummels depending on % and abilities.

And have to make sure u do them right or it's slower and u can't safely get off the pummels

Also all of the above is assuming a really good masher.

I usually get away with much more cuz everybody either doesn't try to mash or does it awful

As an example i counted against ur match vs pj

He was at 176 iirc

Had you been pummeling correctly/actually pummeling

Not only would your throws of been fresh but instead of being at 176 he would of been at around 200% which is upthrow/fthrow killable area.

Take number of inputs needed to mash and divide it by frames per pummel. Divide that by 2 and then floor that answer and you now have how many pummels it's theoretically safe to do for every percent.
