I'm not motivated these days, so I'm calling it now, that I'm rusty. I'm tempted to play a bit again, til March 23, then I'll be all over Uprising, which does have online play. However, I may make a temporary return just to get combo/highlight clips.
I just hope old Pit's got some new tricks to show you.

Edit: Also, nothing beats hardwork. After watching that dance mom's show w/ my mom. Those little 7 year old dancers practice for like 7 hours everyday M--F. If one wants to be the best at this game, how can one not expect to put in the hours of dedication like someone training for a football game, or a basketball player who is in the gym practicing their technique. I think a lot of smashers don't think this way and we all expect to just be good out of nothing and no hard work. I'm not going to have that mindset though. I spent like 3 hours last night practicing. I think 1.5 hours on my tech skill, and 1.5 hour playing vs lvl 7 cpus. I remember reading somewhere that they are most like human players. My Pit is way faster now, and it just took time putting in the work. I'm sure that's what it will take if one wants to become a top player especially using Pit.

Spacing is more consistent. I don't mess up stuff.(aka what i plan actually happens instead of me messing up). My buffering is getting much much more consistent.

Oh and i no longer seem to need "warm-up" time at smashfests.

i play like 2-3 times a week for several hours in a row. maybe i should play coms to just to.... play coms? idk ill give com practice a try for a while and if i see actual improvement, ill be impressed. if i don't see improvement after like 3 weeks ish, welp

Playing Pit yesterday in training mode made me think of this scripture:


The Need for Self-Discipline----1 Corinthians 9:24-27

It's basically running the Christian race and following God's will no matter the circumstance the get the "prize" which is heaven and ever lasting life.

And when it says "Make it my body my slave" in verse 27, I kind of relate it to myself and Pit, and basically make everything Pit should do, my brain should do. It actually helped me make the game more personal and see Pit as an extension of myself since I'm treating him like my slave, which is really treating myself as a slave.
