I know I've mostly been a lurker outside of asking to be added to the support list, but man has this thread been through some ups and downs. I want to believe the stars are finally aligning for KOS-MOS, but a lot can change between now and Thursday. It's gonna be a looong week, people. Hype responsibly.

I wonder what gimmick they will give KOS-MOS if she's in smash. (all the DLC seem to have a gimmick, even banjo with side b)

I wonder what gimmick they will give KOS-MOS if she's in smash.

I think I'd go for techs/deathblows. You know how in xenosaga/xenogears you got special attacks depending on the combination of buttons pressed. Feels like it would be a way to implement her different weapons.
Another thing I can think of is boosts, not sure how they could be implemented though.

I'm going 50/50 on that cat leak. The leaker guessed Hero instead of Erdrick or Luminary and said what Banjo & Kazooie's code name was in the game before it was even datamined. KOS-MOS is looking really likely right now if Namco really is still in the race for FP5.

My idea was basically the Hilbert effect giving her boosts over time or she can use X buster as her gimmick. While it will most likely be saved for a final smash there's still a possibility it could be used as a gimmick. But Hilbert effect would be amazing. I mean technically in the Xenosaga games it just allows her to damage Gnosis (basically the reason she was created was to be a anti gnosis weapon and Hilbert effect allows them to hit them) but in Xenoblade 2 it works differently. It is a party wide heal instead and combined with her other abilities makes her really good. Or maybe in smash it can act as a debuff to the opponent like how Luigi's negative zone final smash worked.

To clarify, it was someone from the Reimu Discord server. They’ve... gone downtrodden since then.

Except the images had the date it went live. September 12th.
The person was going to confess after KOS wasn’t 5, but recent events sped that up.

Both images specifically had KOS-MOS as #5 so one of them had to be true assuming KOS-MOS is revealed at TGA.

Or, we just got extremely lucky and NONE of the leaks involving her were right. And if so, we have Occam's Razor to thank. Sakurai's reason? "I just think she's neat, lol"

Just talked to some of the Reimu cord people. That picture could've been easily edited for the timestamp, so no one knows for sure if the cat leak was real or fabricated yet. (Someone remade it in 20 mins in the discord - very simple). Currently, they are looking into it - essentially putting us back where we started in the first place.
Not knowing if the cat leak is real or not. So i dont see how it affects KOS-MOS that much.
P.S. - Why dont we have KOS-Cord xD

With GameXplain rooting for her in predictions, a possible accurate VGA leak, Bamco not having a rep, colour theory, the fact that she is a female, Rex being a mii costume because sakurai wanted Xeno representation, a possible real 2nd cat leak, possible leak since December 2018 listing KOS-MOS as the 5th character (though masked as a prediction), Vergeben's source backpedaling on the NAMCO deconfirmatons and not knowing about KOS-MOS, AND the random milk-bosatu leak of a female mecha fighter that still hasnt come to fruition surrounding KOS-MOS (and anything else i may have forgotton)...

.... I think she's pretty strong.
This comes down to thursday honestly.. or vergeben just saying no or yes it's KOS-MOS after getting clarification.
If this were all just coincidences, that would be bonkers imo. So hype control until thursday.

That isn't to say that the leaker is doing the same, of course. It'd be hard to make the argument that someone releasing company secrets suddenly limits themselves on the ethical principal of "lying is bad", but I find myself amused none the less.

I did mention it was like he was following a terms and service thing when it came to Kosmos. I’m surprised no one mentioned it besides you.

Verge saying he doesnt know, that 4chan leak that has been right so far, and no hard deconfirms from sabi still help her. But it also could still be someone else. Hey, what’re the chances that the guy behind the 2nd Cat Leak unintentionally got them right, and we get the announcement of Ryu Hayabusa and Reimu after KOS-MOS?

I’d say very unlikely, but I’d get a good laugh out of it.

I really want her in, and as much i've been a BTS affiliate of Vergeben, i hope the no Namco thing was mistaken as he suspected, but not guaranteeing, today.

I also told him to immediately double check the Namco information just to see if there's any hope for KOS-MOS being the odd one out.

I think relevancy doesn’t matter anymore.

A character being too niche to appear in Smash is really a non-issue at this point, especially when we have Terry.
