It is more of the fact that a lot of basic tactics can hold Kirby back, it seems. Obviously, it is a problem, but a great mind will come out of it with a lot of work. I'm working my way towards that when college doesn't rear its ugly, financial-ridden face on me.I still don't think kirbys a bad character. He's good imo. He's not great but he's not bad.
@ kirby_queen : I feel you so much, I've taken a break from the entire competitive scene because Kirby taught me a valuable lesson.
Kirby is one of the hardest characters to master and use effectively because of his massive learning curve and his flaws. So just know that it isn't just you. It helps to take a break from the action and just focus on the fundamentals for a little bit or even do some fun stuff with the AI.
And remember, life comes first, not Smash. There will be a time and day for each one of us to train up and Smash with friends and competitors. And don't let this situation make you drop Kirby, but respect him as a very difficult character as opposed to some of the easier characters out there (nothing against them, by the way). The pay-off is well worth it, but patience...patience is key. My apologies if I come off as anything but helpful here, just trying to cheer another Kirby player on!
