The BBR is pretty much as active as any character board around here from what I hear. It's not crazy lively but it definitely ain't dead.

I got no other words to say about this, only that I feel sorry for him.

The guy's having a rough time. I hope things get better for him over there.

I seriously hope you're talking about Nietono.

I feel bad for M2K too though. =/

I mean of course that sucks for Nietono's futon but seriously... People are too harsh on M2K, I remember reading the comments on Keitaro's M2K in Japan blogs and people were incredibly disrespectful. I honestly do feel bad for M2K, but according to some of the comments (that I read from last night, haven't read the blog today though) I think Ally is going to try to send M2K's SKTAR winnings (they were sent to Ally's Paypal I heard) to RAIN and RAIN is gonna try to give M2K his SKTAR money so he won't be broke in Japan.

I really hope everything works out for M2K. I want him to win SRT! :D

The guy is nearly 24 years old and he prepares for a trip to Japan the same way he prepares for a tourney two hours away?

Can't feel much sympathy for him.

I mean I obviously feel bad that he's in this situation in the first place. It's an embarrassing position to be in, and even dangerous (even under Nietono's care), but at the same time, he did this all to himself, so sympathy can only reach so far.

It's like if a skateboarder were to break his leg in an accident. Sucks for him that his leg is broken and that he's in pain, but it's not like we didn't see this kind of thing coming.

Don't know what to say but in Japan you can't just go up there with little money and assuming things. That is why before hand you should research so when you get there it won't be a surprise and it won't throw you into a bad situation. Since I currently live in Japan coming here with $200 is really bad. It is really expensive here and $200 can be spent really easily here. If it was Hong Kong though that can last a bit since it is really cheap there. He's going to have to work hard to get himself out of that mess.

You're coming from from Japan or you live in Japan and are back there? Not sure...

Well if you're in Japan... Try to meet M2K, he's there right now! :D

Luco, Jrugs is the name of a Snake player and he's pretty good, not sure how many people got the reference though. XD
Hmm? I knew that. ^^

I laughed because of the pun. :3

No matter what game I play, no matter how long I'm stick in Silver League...
Make the bad words go away mommy.

But as much of a bad thing as it is for these kinds of circumstances to happen, like the iHop story, can we just take a step back and look at how awesome that is?

I don't know about you, but I've never heard of an internet community where people can talk for hours about making a video game competitive, drive for miles on their own pay to play with each other, stay at each other's houses, go get food together like old pals, all while having been anonymous text on the internet up until that point.

Maybe it's just me, but that seems pretty damn cool compared other interactions I've had with people. That's straight-up brotherly love, out of the internet of all places. It's stories like these that keep me coming back to SWF.

Well, I was having an off day, but I did well. I lost to a guy in Quarters that I double 3-stocked first round. I don't know what I did, but I'm salty. Went all Kirby in Singles, though! Will have Results and videos up soon!

Labernash, that sucks, and I know how awesome double 3-stocking people as Kirby feels.

Going Kirby all the way, NICE!

I don't know what else to say. :)

zss is a really fun character and she can be played a lot like kirby but more flashy

i was thinking about picking her up and then i realized that pretty much every kirby main on swf and their ****ing mom does the whole kirby/zss combo which is no fun

What makes me feel good about it is knowing that I was the first one around SWF saying everywhere that I double-mained them. Then YbM did it, then others did it...

But why should that stop you? ZSS is awesome.

I actually mained ZSS before using Kirby. I came into Brawl using Samus, ZSS and tried to learn Lucario, but he never stuck. After playing around a bit with others I ended up with Kirby, which I kept around. So yeah.

hell yeah hipster, i'm cool before it's cool to be cool

Chu, MikeKirby and I don't play ZSS. :D

I play MK though, so I have no originality value anyway. ;_;

My skill with every other character is just so far behind my skill with Kirby that I don't even bother trying to have a secondary anymore. I tried for a while, I really did. The one that's even remotely close is probably my Marth.

I'm keeping my two mains up to speed but I will always feel better as Lucas rather than ness. I tend to use Ness in tournaments to estimate a character. If they beat my ness then they face my main, usually (unless it's like oli or pika cause of the 0-0 matchup).

I love ness though and will continue using him as a close main/secondary.

Yoshi i'd LIKE to be able to use well but I doubt that will ever happen.

Pocket Pikachu. Maybe I'm not up on the metagame, but I'm pretty sure it's better than Kirby vs Icies. I like having such a different character (projectile play, high ground speed) because it lets me toy with some of the other's weaknesses, and then it sort of bleeds through when I switch back and forth.

That made more sense in my head. GET ON MY LEVEL, IT'S2DEEP4U.

Well...Kmatt's psychotic breakdown aside, I find it interesting that very few (if any) kirby mains use strong, heavy characters as a secondary. It seems like the quickness gets the better of us.

There was a local tourney here a few days ago (the kind full of scrubs) and when I played my first round I got: [F-throw → U-air → F-throw → F-air → F-air→ Giant Swing].

I was like >_>;
After that I just selected characters arbitrarily.
That's my story of going non-Kirby characters in a 'tournament'.

Does no one else use Dedede? T_T
