Definitely the strongest.

I haven't seen people use much hammering on ground though due to the fact that it's easily predictable.

Both Usmash and Dsmash have good knockback, and are faster than Fsmash. LOL. Usmash is like an Fsmash going up, and Dsmash has two separate hitboxes - the one on Kirby's head is like a Usmash but a little weaker, and the tip of the feet are a weird horizontal hitbox that is weaker than Fsmash, but both are fairly strong and Usmash as a move catches people off-guard.

Hope that helps you, Luckay! LOL/
I don't think Usmash is as strong as Fsmash, i recall seeing the kill %'s at each of the stages, and Usmash was consistently a higher %. Of course the ceilings are always different, but it was pretty constant.

Just thinking of optimal punishing options in doubles.
In doubles, I just get someone to grab an opponent, then I hit them with the aerial hammer's second swing. Almost always results in a KO, since the knockback is horizontal. if they're at higher %s though, I just go for grounded fsmash.

Not sure about Lucas. Chu told me Kirby can grab release CG Ness across the stage, although when I tried it, the Ness spotdodged almost every time before I tried to re-grab, so I think you need to predict when the grab is going to break and buffer the dash (or just react to it since there's a grab break animation). So I'd listen to controller mashing to predict it.

Which of Kirby's smashes has the most knockback? I know fsmash is prominent, but I wanted to know if the other ones might be stronger since they are slower.
F-smash
Damage 15
Knockback Growth 98

U-smash
Damage 15
Knockback Growth 100

D-smash (sweetspot)
Damage 14
Knockback Growth 100

D-smash (toes)
Damage 14
Knockback Growth 85

Generic 'knock-back' for KOing purposes depends on a number of factors, but this is a very basic look at the different smash attacks.

So I decided to look around once more for Touhou remixes, and I was looking for the lesser-popular-but-still-incredible themes, and found this baby.

Touhou music really makes everything more awesome.

I'll see if I can find anything out about that for you, Poyo. God, that boss... Mokou, I hate you so much. First extra boss I ever unlocked, and I still haven't beaten her to this day. I can get to her without losing a life or using any bombs (rarely), but surviving past her 6th nonspell is another story...

I find it extremely hard to believe Fsmash is Kirby's 3rd strongest smash. There's gotta be some piece of info we're missing here.

Some characters are easier to kill off the side than off the top. But, I agree, seems weird. I always kill at about 100% with fmash, and they usually don't die from Usmash till about 120%, iirc. Plus, usmash is harder to land, imo.

Okay, I'm gonna post all of Kirby's Smashes knock info

F-Smash (angled up)
Damage: 16%
Angle: 45
Knockback Growth: 100
Base Knockback: 38

F-Smash (no angle)
Damage: 15%
Angle: 38
Knockback Growth: 98
Base Knockback: 38

F-Smash (angled down)
Damage: 14%
Angle: 31
Knockback Growth: 64
Base Knockback: 38

F-Smash Sourspot (all angles is the same knockback)
Damage: 13%
Angle: 60
Knockback Growth: 96 or 94 depending on which hitbox
Base Knockback: 25

U-Smash

Main Sweetspot - First Two Hitboxes
Damage: 15%
Angle: 75
Knockback Growth: 100
Base Knockback: 34

Main Sweetspot - Third Hitbox
Damage: 14%
Angle: 75
Knockback Growth: 100
Base Knockback: 30

Second Sweetspot - First Two Hitboxes
Damage: 14%
Angle: 88
Knockback Growth: 100
Base Knockback: 20

Second Sweetspot - Third Hitbox
Damage: 12%
Angle: 88
Knockback Growth: 100
Base Knockback: 20

Sourspot - First Two Hitboxes

Damage: 12%
Angle: 50
Knockback Growth: 50
Base Knockback: 10

Sourspot - Third Hitbox
Damage: 11%
Angle: 50
Knockback Growth: 50
Base Knockback: 10

D-Smash

First Two Hitboxes (Hitbox with vertically up knockback)

Damage: 14%
Angle: 76
Knockback Growth: 100
Base Knockback: 30

Third and Fourth Hitboxes (Hitbox with horizontal knockback)
Damage: 14%
Angle: 28
Knockback Growth: 85
Base Knockback: 20

5 Frames after the Down-Smash hitbox is out, the percent/knockback of the first two hitboxes reduces to 11% for the remainder of the hitbox being out and reduces to 9% for the third and fourth hitboxes.

That's all the information on Kirby's Smashes except size values (which I don't think matters, hitbox videos are better for that anyway), flags and how many frames they come out in. The knockback values are multiplied by the percent damage somehow (not sure exactly how it works, but Charizard's final hit on his down-throw is strong and since it does 1% it has a huge Knockback Growth value of 300). So basically Kirby's f-smash angled up is definitely his strongest smash, although u-smash can sometimes be stronger depending on stage positioning.

Last night was the local fighting game tournament!

In Upper Finals it was t0mmy vs me. The first game we went to FD, Kirby vs MK and I won that one pretty solidly. He counterpicked BF, same characters. It was a close game but he took it at the end. I decided to go to Yoshi's because it's not a great stage for Meta Knight, but then he switched to ROB. I was thinking, "Okay, easy win if I go Meta Knight" but then he just walked all over me. XD Only Grand Finals were Best of 5, so he ended up winning that set 2-1.

When I came back in Grand Finals, I was pretty determined to just go all Kirby. I think he still wanted to prove something from last week because he went all Meta Knight. I ended up winning the first set 3-1 and resetting the brackets. In the second set I won the first two games and just needed one more to claim first place, but then he went and won two in a row. At this point it was 2-2 so I went to Battlefield and did exceptionally well; I ended up winning the game making the total 6-3. :D

I'm totally hacking the Wii they have there so I can save the replays. They're fast-paced, exciting, a lot of fun.

Not that I'm fond of, no.

It's not occasional to see Kirby mains, but not rare either.
That last time I saw a Japanese Kirby main, he got 3 stocked.
