Oh man, lets hate on somebody because he's not competitive.
Hey Peef, why don't you make a music video, I'm sure with all these ideas of how it's supposed to be you could EASILY outdo these guys.
Funny you should mention, I'm surprised you didn't know I did just that.

6th most popular non-tournament smash video of the year according to Melee 2010 a Year in Review. Bad voice, but at least I don't just complain about other song parodies.

PS: Thanks Hondafoo =DD

If I felt like you deserved an original, hand-drawn image response, I would create one.
But I don't feel like you do. Also, it would probably get me permabanned.

Well, the thing is Maxout is pretty packed as it is, but screenland could hold smash pretty easily I would think, and that's what I've been talking to Jspott about getting melee into.
I've never been to Screenland but the issue I was thinking of wasn't really size as much as it was time. Melee tournaments take a lot longer to run than tournaments for other fighters.

Love you guys so much.. Why is DRAWING SO HARD!!?!?!?!?!?! GAWWWWD

God I KNOW!!! I think you would've been pleased to see me earlier today, I was seriously going emo and had shaky hands and needed to take a breather because my drawing that I was working on for the past 3 days started turning out like ****. Believe me, all those frustrations you feel right now I feel tenfold

you can get an iphone 4, which is an iphone... not really an apple guy so i can't really sell these too hard, but they're really popular and look nice and darkrain and jesi and jayray all have one. the screen is 3.5". if you can wait longer the iphone 5 details will probably be announced relatively soon and are rumored to be coming out sometime this summer.

htc thunderbolt or motorola bionic(not out yet but should be out soon) are the *****in' shiny new android options. below is a handy graphic that shows the main differences. they are very similar and i'd have to go over each phone with you to point out the bigger differences. both screens are 4.3". as of right now i wanna say go for the thunderbolt and not worry too much about needing a dual core cpu.... but i'd still want to wait for bionic reviews

http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile...on-droid-bionic-iphone-4-and-htc-thunderbolt/

cheaper/older options are

htc incredible is reaaaaaaaaaally good(the phone i have) but its kinda small for your giant man hands... 3.7". motorola droid x is another option, its good and the screen is 4.3". motorola droid 2 is the only decent one with a physical keyboard if you need that

i dont know anything about blackberry or windows phones(they dont come out on verizon till the summer anyways).

Seriously, stay away from Blackberry's. The only competent Blackberry product I will be owning in the near future is a Blackberry Playbook tablet. I owned a BB 8900 and a Torch and HATED them both with a burning passion. While the keyboard and email options were AMAZING on the devices, the operating system and the user interface was horrible. Not to mention the lack for useful apps and up-to-date software. If you do a lot of emails and need a dedicated keyboard, go with the Blackberry. Otherwise, try to avoid them at all costs (or at least until BB gets rid of their OS on their phones and goes with something more similar to their tablet OS).

Whoa really. I'm starting work with T-Mobile on the 19th. so hopefully that doesn't change lol.
The may just take a laisses faire approach to it, but I somehow doubt it.
Everything I've ever seen AT&T do has a tinge of anti-competitiveness to it, so I wouldn't be surprised if they just gutted the company, absorbed their LTE network, and matched their pricing scheme with AT&Ts. This all sucks because T-Mobile was the least-evil carrier around for the longest time. :(

my bb storm 2 is godlike idk wtf you're talking about
I couldn't even open my messages on my 8900. Clicked the trackball plenty of times to try to open them, but it would never open. Other folders opened amazing. Called AT&T, they transferred me to AT&T tech, was then sent to the BB "specialist", then sent to some other BB tech. I was on the phone with that BB tech for literally 5 hours trying to figure out why my BB wouldn't open the messages. Told me to connect it to my computer and reload the OS. Sounded perfectly fine, but the phone wasn't recognized by either of my laptops. Gave up after about another week and went and bought the Torch cuz I figured maybe I got a lemon. Torch was laggy and had problems recognizing anything I did with the trackpad. I had more problems, but I'd rather not make you listen to me rant on and on.

If yours works that good, what kind of daily use do you do with it? I'm not calling you a liar in any way form or fashion, I just want to know what all you do with it, cuz maybe I was doing something wrong.

The Bionic doesn't hit Verizon until June and idk if I want to wait that long...although in that comparison table you linked dmac, in some aspects it looks superior to the Thunderbolt....

Maybe I'll just wait until June >_>

thunderbolt is super pro, you wouldn't regret it at all if you wanted a phone now and got that. i'd actually suggest you get it instead of waiting if you're ready to go

(atrix basically the att version of bionic, so the reviews *should* be similar)

read reviews and compare! thunderbolt is already one of the reviewed htc phones ever

this week is also CTIA week (it starts tomorrow and ends thursday). its some super tech conference where a ton of info about new wireless techs will be shown off

That's literally everything I did with mine. Had the dedicated Fbook app, had UberTwitter, AP News, and had somewhere around 250 songs on it. I downloaded one game from the app store called Ka-Glom. I must have gotten a lemon for my 8900, but idk what was with my Torch. It was just so laggy...

This thread sucks. Remember when phones were just used for making calls, and they were attached to walls.

I think this was mentioned earlier, but there are apparently dudes working on our behalf in an attempt to integrate us with the rest of the fighting game community in KC. (SRK dudes).

In the near future I'm thinking about allowing some setups in the rapecloset/nonused smash space in order to get some new dudes introduced to the game and allow us to experience some higher level SSF4/Tekken/MvC* play.

Best case scenario we get some new guys, but if we can show them that melee is a legit scene/fighting game we could have a semi-permanent venue to run KC tournaments out of. They have a place at Armor Road (northtown, about 6-7 minutes from my place) where they do pretty regular tourneys and I've been informed there's a lot of empty space we could use.

Anyway, lemme know what you guys think. I'm not committing to anything unless we actually want to do something like this.

edit: FIREFOX 4 IS PRETTY AWESOME DUDES.

Thats awesome massive. Do it! There seem to be a few people who are interested in getting good at some other fighting games. More people + possible new venue is amazing!!!

Massive, Rob should be getting in contact with you soon. He said on SRK's KC thread he would. Also, the KC SRK scene recently lost 2 of our 3 weekly hookup locations, and the last one left is pretty inconsistent on whether we have it every week. So if you allow dudes at your place on Saturday's then there will definitely be a lot of dudes coming.

EDIT: This probably still won't get me at your house on Saturday nights though. My parent's are really dumb about Saturday nights and being at church the next morning.

I talked to rob on facebook earlier, we may have some setups here, but I'd rather not have this become a SSF4 meetup place especially if it's more dudes than show up for melee.

I don't play SSF4 or MVC3 or Tekken or anything else competitively other than melee and I have little desire to. I don't mind entertaining dudes from time to time, but it's Massivesmash not massivetekken or massivessf4.

I don't think there's going to be any problem with kc srk invading massivesmash lol. The issue of us losing a lot of our hookups are being attended to, and a lot of people are pitching in to try and get us more places to play games during the week. The whole point of the merging of communities is to get more players into each other's games, and to get smash a new venue for more TOURNEYS

100% +1 to massive smash including SSF4/Tekken. According to Rob MvC3 is phasing out soonish though... lol.
A few SRKers in the area sekretly play Melee because it's legit, and I think this merge of communities would be great for everyone. It's not like they're strangers either; we've had some interaction with Max Out and some of them have already shown up to random cherry smashes in the past IIRC. They're all pretty cool dudes.
Monthly smash tournaments also helps to get new players, since not everyone keeps up with smashfest locations, and gives us all good opportunities to improve.

I can also donate a TV to Massive Smash until the end of summer of relatively good size.

I'm cool with new dudes, I just had visions of being inundated with 20 random guys all wanting to play SSF4, taking over our melee setups. That **** doesn't get to happen, not in my house.

On a slightly different note.
LinkMO? Is columbia thinking of joining us this week?
