Where as while Kritters are in Smash Run, K. Rool himself is not in the game at all save his PAON trophy, yet Rare inspired Mii Costume.

• 2 New Stages, being Peach's- and Hyrule- Castle 64 (Or 3, Dr. Mario is still out there)

But we don't have an actual Character yet

If it comes to the Smash Ballot, I think those 10 Characters are the ones I can see winning the ballot:

Problems:
Isaac should be above Shovel Knight.
Shovel Knight is on this list (Seriously his chances were done when Sony and Xbox got special treatment)

Botched the spelling of Lloyd way too hard.
Lloyd is not anywhere near that popular to win the ballot.
Not enough first parties ie. Where da **** is Dixe, Krystal, and Bandana Dee.

Imagine a doomsday scenario where K. Rool's momentum is crushed by the Mii costumes (it doesn't seem to be the case right now, seems dented but still going). Even if that were to happen, most K. Rool support has literally been accounted for already. That is, unlike voting for the U.S. president or something, we are not waiting for election day. Election day is actually election months. And most people have already made their choice known in the first few days/weeks of the poll.

So relax a bit. We should still #krocthevote to make sure our voices are heard, but don't underestimate our progress so far.

To be fair we were only supposed to learn about Ryu and Roy being Smash dlc only about 20 minutes or so before they were released. The leaks spoiled us in that regard.

So no I don't think there would necessarily be more hype surrounding it.

Obviously though if we don't get an announcement of a Friday direct today it'll make it very unlikely.

Honestly, I think its possible they may plan to make all the top ballot characters as Mii Fighter costumes, and some of them will go on to be playable later as well. Let's be honest, K. Rool is only a Mii Fighter because of the ballot. Still doesn't seem like something they'd do; bring back an old fan favorite character who hasn't appeared recently ONLY to make him a Mii Fighter, which is why we never thought it'd happen in the first place. I mean, come on. It was all or nothing; either K. Rool was playable, or he got nothing. Getting a Mii fighter costume was never considered a viable alternative.


I also think Isaac will get a Mii Fighter costume tomorrow. Saturday is the Golden Sun franchise's 14th anniversary, and they've announced one Sword Fighter, Brawler, and Gunner each day.

We've been told preballot stuff is over. What Namco character would people be voting for? Heihachi and Lloyd have taken the same hit as K Rool; no other character from Namco commands anywhere near the popularity necessary for the ballot.

I don't think we're getting any more third-parties period. The most requested Namco characters after Pac-Man were Lloyd and Heihachi. There's no other viable candidates. As far as pre-ballot, that's just speculation. Regardless, do you honestly believe they'd do two third-parties before the ballot, even though they've repeatedly stated they won't just add ANY third-party character? Plus, every third-party to date is a gaming icon.

Guys? For some reason, I find it awfully suspicious how Sakurai hasn't officially retweeted the King's Mii Costume, yet he retweeted Lloyd's costume. It is very strange to me.

Theory: Maybe Sakurai is deconfirming Lloyd through his retweet, trying to spread the message that he only wanted Lloyd as a Mii Costume? Not trying to anger his fans, but it is just a theory.

As much as I am a fan of Lloyd Irving and the Tales of series, I can't imagine he'd be too high-priority for Namco from a marketing perspective. Pac-Man is a vidya icon no matter how you view it, while even Heihachi would be good promotion for upcoming Tekken games. Lloyd would be a great character, yeah, but I can't imagine Namco had much interest in promoting him to a full-on newcomer. The Mii costume is a nice touch and, I think, isn't too surprising considering the other characters that have turned up as costumes.

Flying Man is interesting too, albeit in the same way that KK Slider / Isabelle are interesting: an NPC with a costume-based tribute in lieu of a full fighter. Didn't see it coming, yet in hindsight, it makes decent sense.

K. Rool still baffles me. If what @ Yellowlord said is true and Sakurai hasn't re-tweeted the K. Rool kostume, then I'm even more baffled.

Can somebody confirm if Sakurai has re-tweeted the other costumes, or just Lloyd?
