I haven't posted here in a while but I have a good feeling about K. Rool. If Sakurai truly goes by fan service, K. Rool is definitely up there. I'm not saying he HAS to be the chosen one but I'd be quite shocked if K. Rool isn't one of the "fan serviced" DLC characters.

Yet not one new heavy fighter in the base game. I hope we get at least one for dlc and I don't think I have to explain who that should be.

To be fair, Dark Pit is in fierce competition with Pichu for Smash's most hated character of all time, and it's not as though people take "Pichu for DLC!" demands particularly seriously.

Back to K. Rool, though, what do people think about him having an Oil Drum summon move, like he had in that MUGEN video? It functioned basically like it did in DKC, spitting weak enemies at an interval. I guess the closest comparison would be Pac-Man's Fire Hydrant that sprays water a few times before vanishing.

I never actually hates Pichu but yes it was a pretty worthless character..but i do hate Dark Pit...

I think Dark pit was litreally put in last second because he must have taken a second to implement. There for fair enough...

Dark Pit...is actually a thing. If you haven't played Uprising (which I would suggest), he's definitely a thing. Dry Bowser is just Bowser but dead. Literally the same Bowser. Dark Samus however is completely different and a good choice.

I would've loved to have seen Masked Dedede as an option, too, and I'm surprised that Mario didn't get, say, his outfit from the Nintendo Service Centre logo, or something else like that, to go along with the outfit from NES Open Tournament Golf.

EDIT: I can explain why there was no Ms. Pac-Man alt, though. By court findings of the time, the people who created the ROM hack which was made into Ms. Pac-Man by Midway are the creators of "the concept of a Pac-Family", and Namco must pay them royalties whenever Ms. Pac-Man appears, the game is re-released, and so on (that's why the game doesn't get re-released very often, and why you see very little Ms. Pac-Man merchandising). It's similar to the licensing minefield surrounding Pac-Land, which Namco based on Hanna-Barbera's licensed Pac-Man cartoon series, including licensing the theme tune for the game's main theme - I was very surprised that they opted to use Pac-Land as a stage in Smash Wii U due to this.

The fact that Masked Dedede wasn't an alt is disappointing enough - but he was such an obvious choice for Dedede's new Final Smash, and instead we got him... throwing a bomb.

Feel free to read the OP if you're curious about what K. Rool would look like as a Smash fighter! As a passionate K. Rool supporter, I feel the exact same way you do about K. Rool in regards to Isaac, though I'm more familiar with him overall and think he'd also be a fantastic Smash fighter.

Overall, I'm glad that K. Rool and Isaac fans are amicable and don't see each other as competition.

I worry that we won't get any awesome King K. Rool Alt costumes since the Costume and alt skin Designer's are DOWNRIGHT terrible. Like it's not that hard, especially in these days to make alts. Especially when you have the Soul Calibur team colaberating.

Also, I wouldn't be worried about K. Rool taking the "spot." Both K. Rool and Isaac offer very different things as fighters and most signs indicate Sakurai is not going to pick just one ballot character.

It is disapointing to see that a fan game (Project M) does a much better job at costumes than the official developers. I think we'll be lucky to get Kaptain as a Kostume sadly and if were really really lucky, Baron.
