Giant fruit is a stage theme, but not an overall theme of the game itself. The overall theme of the game is snow/ice-based Vikings. Vikings are largely associated with ships. Yes, there's only one ship level in the game, its a huge disappointment you didn't actually battle in the viking ship at all at the end. It was a massive missed opportunity. Does not negate the fact that the main villains are snowy Vikings.

He never said that. He just said he wanted him in. Plus, he wasn't trying to cause trouble. If he was, then he WOULD be trolling. He just stated his opinion, even if it wasn't a wise one. Just because it wasn't wise to say does not always mean he was trolling and trying to cause trouble.

I just saw the dumbest DLC rumor yet. It says that Squirtle(alright), Wolf(Ok), and METAL FREAKING MARIO will be made DLC in October. The reason why it's dumb is really self explanatory, METAL MARIO AS A CHARACTER.

The trouble is, it comes out looking something like this when boiled down to basics: "I don't understand why so many people are voting for this long-time Nintendo villain to appear in Nintendo's crossover fighting game. I do not think this Nintendo character would fit in Nintendo's game. I would like a third-party sidekick character.".

Even though no trouble was intended, the wording didn't make it look any different from a common detraction or wind-up attempt. I assume that's why people took issue.

I'm glad we're getting new stages as DLC that aren't necessarily associated with a specific character, I imagine there's more possibilities for stages if that's the case. If they're being this generous with 'em, then I figure any DLC newcomer has a pretty good chance of getting their own stage packed along with them. Granted, Mario Maker is a massive release, but still. I like to think of it that way.

I expect a balance patch (balance hype~) and I have a distinct feeling we will get a character reveal. Every big update so far has had a "key" to it (mostly character reveals, but in the case of the August patch, Tournament mode), I expect this will be the same if it is indeed an important new update.

Whether K. Rool will make the kut with the upcoming patch, I don't know. I kind of doubt it. If K. Rool is going to be revealed, then I reckon Wolf is a safer bet right now, with K. Rool to follow in due time. Who's to say...~?

No. At least not us. I do feel however, that people who attack our people's character are insecure about their character's chances though.
