You know, that quote (thanks for posting it, @Llort A. Ton) about not seeing the appeal in heavyweights, there, does make me wonder: Why are some people against heavyweight characters seemingly just because they're heavyweight characters? I see it quite a lot.

I, personally, don't find rushdown characters any fun to play as, but I don't complain about them or wish to deny them a spot in the game (and after all, I know that other people do like them).

Why is it seemingly seen as ok when it's the other way around?

I guess its because they are never higher than mid tier...
Its funny because i played this guy the over day on FG played him for about 10 matches or more.

I won about 80% of the matches he was switching between Sheik, ZSS, Luigi.

I'd be very shocked. We've done a whole lot, so if we've really just been in an echo chamber for so long that 11+ casual candidates pass right by us, what does that mean for other "popular" requests from places like this site?

I'd be shocked, too. I asked because there was a similar situation with Megaman and Marvel VS Capcom 3 DLC. Apparently, lots of people voted for MegaMan to be DLC for that game, but from what I heard, Capcom apparently said he was not highly requested at all, even though there were plenty that voted for him. I could have heard this wrong, but hey, what can you do?

This is exactly what I believe too. All kinds characters had low chances to be in during Pre-Smash 4, but with the ballot it gives all kinds of fanbases to suggest & voice whatever video game character they want towards Nintendo.

I was personally upset with that poll because it lacked K. Rool. Shantae is still around my 4th place. And I think Shantae supporters would be upset if a poll was missing Shantae but included Shovel Knight, Quote, Mighty No. 9 and alike (and the poll creator refused to correct his mistake).
Every character has its supporters and its permitted to vote and like them. And while I dont trust that poll because it lacks green. I can personally say that Shantae is probably the character with the most rising support of them all (Shovel Knight and Banjo-Kazooie seem to have declined in comparison, K. Rool's support was going big but the Mii costume have slowed its pace).

How are you, fellow Kutthroats? People are talking about K. Rool more than ever these days, and that's great. In lieu of this I have been drafting up a model sheet for future use, the progress of which you can see for yourself below. It is an almost 1:1 of his original appearance in the celebrated Donkey Kong Country trilogy. Who knows... maybe we'll be seeing it again soon!!

If you can, do some expressions! Even if they stray from the canon, would be fun and helpful to see some of them!

Rool doesn't make it in Smash Bros. this time, I'll blame no one but Sock-your-eye. At least I'll be confident that K. Rool will be returning to Nintendo soon thanks to Retro and possiblly Playtonic(the real Rare).

Not to mention that the K. Rool fight would be the stuff of dreams. One of the things that's cool about K. Rool is that he's not bound by final boss expectations. Bowser = fire and claws. Ganon = magic and swords. K. Rool does something different each game he's in.

Anyone else find it a bit odd that in Rare's design, K. Rool's lower jaw goes right inside his upper jaw? For the longest time I used to think BKupa's avatar didn't have a lower jaw.

to be fair, real croc mouths are kind of like that too. They're jaws essentially act as gigantic, powerful, CLAMPS!
