I still wish I could make the flag and pole as just a background as part of the stage and put a kremling skull on it but unfortantley I can't so whatever. Still hope an official version gets confirmed though then I won't need this temporary one anymore.

Thanks. It's kinda sad too that we could easily come up with better looking stages(as well as new unique ones) if given the right tools compared to most of the ones Sakurai has actually given us.

Just another way to justify the GamePad's existence really. You know what would be nice Sakurai? The ability to place BACKGROUND blocks. You know, so we can make more stuff than Battlefield knockoffs or "male reproductive organ" shapes. They actually took away a lot of the filler scenic items from Brawl and gave you some BARRELS! And that's about it. Some moving platforms and barrels.

They even took out the fun stuff like the dropping blocks and spikes. How can I make my inescapable death traps now Sakurai? Remove fun why don'tcha. I DID try to make a clone of Saffron City but it just wasn't the same without the random Pokemon.

But yeah, the "new and improved" Stage Builder is actually MORE lacking than Brawl's with the only new additions being drawing the platforms by hand (the only huge new improvement), some lava and barrels while taking away a lot of other stuff. One step forward two steps back.

Edit: I AM wondering what effects and implications there would be if someone credited one of K. Rool's voice actors for Smash. It would be a scummy move sure but we already have sites saying Shantae is coming for DLC. We're in the last month of the ballot and leaks and rumors are dropping left and right and all the major gaming sites and articles are EATING THIS STUFF UP. Think now is our chance to act? Or should we wash our claws clean of this nonsense?

Eh, making a fake leak for attention could fool people (Like these IMDB VA and Shovel Knight amiibo leaks seemed to do, or at least got on major Smash news sites), but I think it would more than likely backfire and make K. Rool fans look desperate for support. A K. Rool IMDB leak would be easier to debunk since if he were in the game, we would likely just make generic Kroc noises, or his past VAs could debunk the leak themselves. And making a leak of K. Rool may just end up ineffective due to detractors looking at K. Rool like the ''New Ridley'' and make fun of the character and/or supporters for little reason other then they want a different character more (But instead of ''muh 2big'' it's ''muh mii outfit''). tldr- As of now I think our best action may be to just keep on doing what were doing.

I'm just wondering why it's taking so long to hear anything about anything, really. I'm coming to think that Iwata really had a lot to do with organizing the directs themselves as a service to the public - a great loss, to be sure. I would have hoped that Nintendo would want to continue them since they were so well received, but we haven't even heard a peep on that front. I hope they will still be planning something, since they are getting close to releases for other things. Besides, the announcement that Pokken was coming to consoles (which was an obvious eventuality, but nice to get official confirmation) was big news, and they really didn't flout it.

We're for the first time without a thing to look forward to for DLC, and Nintendo knows we're hungry. I'd hope they come out soon with something - even to just announce another returning stage - just so we have something to look forward to.

Interesting theory. I don't know if they've decided all of that yet considering the ballot. I'd figured Ryu got the stage more since he was a new franchise rep, and all character franchises have a stage with them. I'd assume any new 3rd parties would come with one, but I don't know about 1st party newcomers.

Johnknight1 got confused on twitter when @BringBackKrool (@ BKupa666 ) joked about K. Rool's name being listed on IMDB as a way to mock the Professor Layton rumor. He's joked like that in the past about fake rumors and no one ever took it seriously before, but it can happen sometimes...

Possible. However as far as the Ryu thing went, didn't he only get a stage due to be from a new series repped in Smash? It's not out of the question for an already repped series getting another stage with a DLC character. I just feel it's somewhat unlikely

I think this is probably the case. At this point the max I expect is maybe we could get Melee stages, including Kongo Jungle Melee which could have a couple of K. This is what my fear is exactly. They've had a lot of news come out recently, like the big drop of Pokken coming to Wii U but you'd think that would be a flagship Direct announcement but you'd be wrong. At the very least we could always receive a New Content Video from Sakurai himself.

The thing that puzzles me about Pokken Tournament is why they didn't do it at E3 more than why they didn't do a direct.

Saw a random reddit poll to "predict Ballot winners". Had characters like Lloyd or Ghirahim with a "deconfirmed" tag to vote for them. But no K. Rool at all. Poll creator claimed "he's deconfirmed and we were going to make a viable character ballot"... Is this what people who don't care for K. Rool think of him now? Do they think characters like Lanky Kong can win still but "K. Rool is already doomed anyways so why bother"?.

So anyways, I hurled a bit and voted K. Rool on... *sigh* "Others". Let this be a lesson to me not to get carried away by any poll that is not the official one.

Because they announced it at Pokemon World Championships. Makes a lot more sense to announce it there, then reveal more info in a Direct at a later date.

He never said that at any point. If he said that EVERYONE would be talking about it and no one would be discussing the possibility of Mii Fighter costumes getting in at all.

hey guys long time no see,i wasnt here for the 1000 page celebration so yay 1000 pages!!,but i did see the k rool mii costume and at first it made me dissapointed but now that time has passed i think the costume actually looks pretty nice but i still want the real thing.

No, I get that. I'm just wondering if there are cases in your new study where expectancy isn't always directly proportional to want. A character can be expected but not top any popularity charts, after all.

I see what you mean. Without official ballot results it's difficult to say one way or the other. There could be a situation where everyone expects a character and then votes for someone else. I do this expected is much different than want. In my Mega Smash Poll I asked both and only veterans were both wanted and expected.

He claims Sakurai said something, yet he has no links to the interviews/ videos he stated that in? Either this guy doesn't know what hes talking about, or he has some bias against K. Rool.

This survey doesn't feel right for some reason. Shantae doubled everyone. Also make note OP has said he is voting for her. Plus in the survey it was possible to vote numerous times over and over again. There's probably no chance that the vote was flunked,but having over 200 votes and the person in second only has 105 is somewhat weird.

I have to be honest, people voting for k rool piss me off. the other members of the team are ok with him, but anytime anyone mentions k rool, I get pissed off like no other. I just don't see the appeal of him or any heavyweight character, and his moveset seems really limited and really unflowing, because it has to do with his different jobs, not one single job.

Ok, something seems just a teeny tiny itty bitty bit off here. No clue why, though. But hey, at least he redid the poll and added K. Rool into it.

I, personally, don't find rushdown characters any fun to play as, but I don't complain about them or wish to deny them a spot in the game (and after all, I know that other people do like them).

I like playing as heavyweights just to prove that being light doesn't always mean better. Bowser and DK are my mains to show that.
