Juggle Trapz!?!?!?!?

Well....in the air the only really thing you can do (in general) is air dodge and alternate your trajectory when moving. Even though the air dodge system is boring and broken(imo), it doesn't mean there aren't things you cant keep them in the air.

With Marth after I uthrow or UDB4 (Last hit of DB up), I will usually just go for the uair and note their habits. The next time I uthrow or use DB up, I will delay my uair and wait for the air dodge. At this point the opponent will either...

A) Not care...in which I will continue abusing their mistakes.

B) Start to adapt to what Im doing and mix up their air dodge timing.

C) Use alternate means of defense...(tornado, counter, exc...)

If you note that the opponent is delaying their air dodge, you can just go for the attack. They will usually just get hit and sometimes a uair will have enough 'hitstun' that it will throw them off or confuse the opponent. Its not enough to combo...sadly. xD

Basically between 2 good players, a uthrow/UDB4/utilt will be about a 50/50 chance to a nair or uair followup. Its all mindgames really and some characters are easier to juggle than others. I believe MK somewhat easy to juggle or at least force him into a dangerous position. This is because your uair beats his dair, not in speed but priority and range. Snake on Battlefield is like....**** OMG....I sometimes find myself getting 100% from well placed juggle traps.

Also take note that you can grab them as the hit the ground. Most people will shield as they hit the ground on instinct. Its really all they can do. If you shield grab, they have no good options. Note that you can try a shield breaker but most people will drop their shield and take the hit instead, which kinda sucks at low percents. I rather just grab and continue the trap with a uthrow.

Juggle traps ****. Its like Marths alternative to comboing :laugh:(damage racking)

Seriously...people that have reflex airdodging habits, they will get ***** hard by this. Thats about it.

^ yea lol for some reason when you implement these u-throw and or UDB4 juggle traps it opens up a whole new game and evens out and also puts some matches in marths favor we should re-discuss some of the match-ups with more emphasis on these traps. Alot of them will def. be put more towards marths favor.

Well ROB was one, Dedede is another....MK is kinda easy to juggle except he ***** us in every other aspect so meh.

idk about DDD haven't tried it on him but can't he just rising d-air or some thing?

Mk doesn't **** us in every other aspect you just have to know what punishes each of his moves so when your on the defensive you have a chance to switch back to offense that's all

With MK I was speaking in general. His Dtilt beats ours, he can gimp we cant, he has safe ko moves, we dont...exc....**** MK :(

I think we should make a chart that shows juggle trap difficulties between each character or something.

How do you propose going on about that?

Just some ideas?
Maybe just from experience and some knowledge. Look at the moves of each defending character in the air. Like Snake has nothing really. He is big...he will be easily juggled. Now look at Wario's DI, he will be harder to juggle. Maybe have a thread on it because juggling is really an important part of Marths game and we never went over specific characters air weaknesses. Having it all on one thread will help too.

Yea thats a great idea.
But against wario why not just Grab release to start a juggle trap lol
I know, I mean while airborne it will be more difficult to hit him because of his DI. So technically I rather just usmash and get in guaranteed damage rather than possibly being wafted on or something. Its just me.

I mean it looses in speed, effectiveness, spammability, etc. but technically....it wins in terms of range correct?
Eh, and I suppose uair has better straight up knockback
It wins in range and power when tipped.

Let's see some videos of effective use of Marth's tools to juggle trap someone. If a picture is worth a thousand words, when it comes to learning something, a video is worth a million.
actually the system takes 60 frames (pictures) a second.

a second of video would be 60,000.

a full length video would be more than a million.

just sayin

your first two statements contradict each other. i think you meant a minute of video...but even then, that would be 3600 instead of 60000.

Anyway, whats the best way to effectively juggle a snake that doesnt care if he gets hit by his own grenade(hitting you as well)? Like grenade countering in the air.

OH! sorry. i was sleepy. didnt know wht i was sayin.

i say just air dodge if you are at a high percent.

i would rather not get hit.

a little off topic here but for the past 2 weeks i thought this thread was called "juNgle traps" and, without coming in to read it, could never figure out what in the world you must've been talking about..
