Mikeneko 2-0's Maguro in WF and is guaranteed top 2

Rain vs Otori in LSF now, winner of that plays Maguro in LF.
Rain won and plays Maguro now.
Rain also beat Maguro and has to win 2 sets vs Mikeneko in GF now.

Rain is pretty much ****** Mikeneko right now and is about to win this.
He won.

1st Rain
2nd Mikeneko
3rd Maguro
4th Otori

Kakera got 17th???

I swear the ONLY thing thats consistent in Japan is Yui and Brood getting 3rd-5th

and Earth ranging 5th-7th

Otori, Kakera, Neintono and all the other players we think are good keep placing so randomly...

^ yup. When people put Kakera in their top 10 world lists I shake my head. He's still really good, but his Apex winners bracket wasn't that hard. If M2K didn't choke against Ocean I'm 95% sure M2K would have beaten Kakera.

Nietono has definitely been consistent. Nietono has been in the top 2 at every SRBT but this one. Nietono placed 1st at SumabatoX 13 too. Rain has been consistent too. He placed 1st at every SRBT except for SRBT 1-3 where he came in 5th.

Who did Yukhoe and Abadango go in doubles?
Double Wario.

Soooo many upsets this tourney.

Shogun beating Kakera

El beating Otori

Kairo beating Brood

Yukhoe beating Kakera

And in doubles...

Nietono/El beating Kakera/Maguro

Abadango/Yukhoe beating Otori/Misaka

Double Wario is better than double MK, apparently. Dat incredible spacing, both of them stock tanks, easy infinite combo, etc... Keep all teams legal.

results would be kinda random everywhere if we'd also play bo1 tho. not that surprising to lose every now and then if you only have one chance...

also the double wario team was godly

iirc Japan doesn't increase the number of games per set for finals all the time, so it's easy to see the whole tournament played bo3.

Only the doubles subevent was best of 1. Singles was best of 3. In case you missed it, Rain vs Otori only had game 3 on livestream because after winner's finals, they had one more game and decided to stream it. Also, All singles rounds including finals were best of 3. :3

So sad Maguro lost :( His round vs Mikeneko was not his best and he lost a first stock due to a trip.

It was not a good day for Kakera either.

During the livestream, I was yelling at Otori through the screen XD to stop being on the ledge vs Rain. He's wayy too good when you're there.

All johns aside, it was a good tournament. Although I really didn't want him to (lol), props to Rain for winning. His charging of the forward smash on the edge is ridiculously good. Though it shouldn't be lol. I swear, Otori, Maguro, AND Mikeneko all fell for it -__-

Really??? *Shrugs* I guess I stand corrected then...

RAIN somehow got a crap load better over teh past 2 years...

Brood, Earth and Yui get 2 high placings and lose 2 1 of 5 great players(Whoever is there...)

9B and Hana-sumthing(Pika player) both go undeated normally

Numaburamovie has uploaded the same sets it always does [LSF, WF, LF, GF 1&2 as well as doubles finals]. I hope to see more uploaded on other channels such as minamisk and hyde6tetsu9.

Loota (a Finnish Lucario) was in Tokyo during the weekend and he had plans to attend the tourney but apparently he didn't attend :( or maybe he just didn't make it to bracket?

Is there a way to get the characters normally used by some of the names for the placings? As high as convenient. I simply dont recognize a lot of names :(
