Nintendo supports Mario speed runs though...this really is bizarre though, by this logic someone sees a speedrun of the next NSMB and doesn't pick it up

Does that include TAS?Nintendo supports Mario speed runs though...
fine, they don't support fire emblem speed runsNintendo supports Mario speed runs though...
It is bizarre, but only for people whose hobbies revolve heavily on video games.this really is bizarre though, by this logic someone sees a speedrun of the next NSMB and doesn't pick it up
I think it's unfortunately true that casuals do care a lot. MW2 players are all scrubs that think they're the best. You have Nintendo scrubs disconnecting all the time on games like MPH. etc etc etcIdk man, do you think casuals care about their performance so much? Even then, I don't think someone somewhere being better at a game would hamper how I felt about that game.
I'd say that supports the theory, as speedruns of NSMB are slow and boring.this really is bizarre though, by this logic someone sees a speedrun of the next NSMB and doesn't pick it up
....fine thenI'd say that supports the theory, as speedruns of NSMB are slow and boring.
Hahaha.....fine then
I think it's more of the reverse, no one wants to loseEveryone wants to believe they're good.
That is also true, but at the completion of an uneven game (most games) someone must necessarily lose. The gamer then decides to continue playing because he thinks he has a likely chance of winning the next game.I think it's more of the reverse, no one wants to lose
Let's look at Mario Kart Wii. There is a bullet bill powerup where the game plays for you. Or let's look at the single player Nintendo games and notice how easier things are getting? It can be discouraging for people to face defeat over and over again. There are people out there who can't help but rage at every defeatThat is also true, but at the completion of an uneven game (most games) someone must necessarily lose. The gamer then decides to continue playing because he thinks he has a likely chance of winning the next game.
I wouldn't call it "the reverse", since they're both so closely related unless there's an unspecified conditional you're referring to.
This. This is what Nintendo wants to avoid with the Smash series. If the gap in performance is too big and success looks hopeless, people will give up. Things need to look reachable for people to continue. It is about winning, but the approach to winning seems to be trying to escape from defeat
Those FILTHY CASUALS.this. This is what nintendo wants to avoid with the smash series.
Was about to say Batman talks just like Mango.Haha, the "message from batman" sounds like someone else trying to pass as Mango, or Mango trying to pass as someone else. I can't tell which it is though!
It's not casual gamers' fault, though. It's Nintendo taking advantage of their brand name to reach out for people who don't play video games regularly. Nintendo will tell you it's all about spreading video games, but it's all bout dat money$$.Those FILTHY CASUALS.
I was just referencing this guy lol:It's not casual gamers' fault, though. It's Nintendo taking advantage of their brand name to reach out for people who don't play video games regularly. Nintendo will tell you it's all about spreading video games, but it's all bout dat money$$.
Anyways... MELEE AT EVO.
I have an exam early Friday, but I'm staying up all night for the stream anyway.
You can do this, guys.
Jesus Christ if he brought Michiru ****ing Yamane and offered something from her for a certain amount, I would have to get it (matching the donation for melee too of course). The more I think about Thursday, the more I think it's going to be bigger than we actually think it is! We raised over 9K on our first donation drive and it only featured a couple of people just sitting around and talking! We didn't have any incentives to donate at all! It was just a stream that was setup in two days and donations started coming in when Scar gave the word! That was it!
SG raised 15K on their donation drive and they did an amazing job! However, they put in plenty of work to get that done by inviting the voice cast and giving incentives to donate more! Mike Z is doing work and I'm sure he will have something bigger setup for this Thursday! (If he brought in the voice cast, then I'm guessing he could bring in a composer this time! Michiru Yamane!)
This time, we have incentives to donate! We have much more support than we did on our first donation drive! I would not be surprised if we manage to raise $20K on Thursday!
Cheers!
Yeah. Dreamland 64 is unbeatable though.... I mean, c'mon.being a lover of all things jazz, the Skullgirls soundtrack is dope.
Yeah, I love that ****. Only thing is that I put jazz above all else (having grown up with it + played a good deal), so sorry if that makes me some kind of music snob... just the fact that the composer of ****ing Symphony of the Night decided to make jazz was all I needed... now I don't even need porn whenever I want to rub one off.Yeah. Dreamland 64 is unbeatable though.... I mean, c'mon.
Yeah, back when making music required actual talent. Remember those times? If liking that makes me a hipster then I'll be the happiest god-damn hipster in the world .Jazz?
EXCUSE ME! WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY BOY?!?Except avant-garde jazz, screw that. I hate it when they call that modern art-**** music.
I tried papa. My music teachers, my peers who've become pretty successful musicians and everybody else under the stagelights tried to get me into it, but I couldn't do it.
lol It's alright. I didn't really like it at first but I can enjoy some of it.I tried papa. My music teachers, my peers who've become pretty successful musicians and everybody else under the stagelights tried to get me into it, but I couldn't do it.
"It's an acquired taste," they said. "You'll learn to enjoy it," they said.
Link to the tweet pleaseSome Japanese dude tweeted that he is willing to donate up to 50K for ST. Damn these guys came out of nowhere.
