also for Low Tier Teams there would be a rules for who each other character would team with...something like this:

Tomi I could show you some vicious combos with Puff against floaty characters, and even more vicious ones against fast fallers. Fast fallers are extremely easy to kill with Puff. Do you think you'll be able to come down to Rancho sometime this week?

First of all, I think only two people left to get food, one of whom was Momo, who didn't even enter Low Tier (which was the only tourney to have any problems). If people had left to get food when they had matches, I'd have given them the traditional five-minute grace period before they received an automatic forfeit. I wouldn't make the tournament wait on a single player, unless there was a general consensus to extend the grace period.

Anyways, there were too many friendlies because matches weren't getting called out. In fact, when I came back into the garage, YOU were playing friendlies. This is after you had already told me twice to keep things going as quick as possible.


But I'm not saying I don't want to help, it's just that I had expected you to keep the tourney going when I took a break. However I didn't tell you that I was taking a break, so how could you have known? That part was my fault, the only mistake you made was not covering my ***. If you don't want me to co-organize anymore, then I won't. Just give the word.


Finally, if you want to learn how to use Tio, I'd need to sit down and show you. We could do it the boring way, and just make an example setup, or we do it the fun way, we could set up a small tournament at a smashfest so you can practice doing it yourself. Either way, showing you how to use the program just before doubles sign ups is not a good time.

I support both Low Tier Doubles and Item Matches (according to Yen's rules, here) over crews.

The only reasons I didn't like crews both sprung from lack of enthusiasm of the players. Because of this, players purposely did not try their hardest (some hardly at all) and nobody even wanted to make it double elimination. That made crews lame, while they could have been pretty good. If people will actually be enthusiastic about crews, then I think it's a good idea. But I still think LTD and Item Matches would be funner.

the point is to think of other side tourneys besides crews that would encourage lots of entrants. I would prefer items over any other side tourney so far mentioned, but keep thinking of ideas guy.

The entry fee is a big factor in this. I think entry to side tourneys besides crews shouldnt be more than three dollars.

Thats a really good Idea though i would change the point values a bit. Have like a max. point of 12 and a minimum of 3. That way Links partner doesnt have to be mewtwo.

By the way if I am able to make it to this anyone want to team up with me? I always wanted to enter a doubles tournament but I never have a partner. I dont care if its for regular or low tier or both.

There will be NO MORE submission's of ideas, the biweekly after next .I will continue to so them but this isnt a joke biweekly,This is Sacs Biweekly And were not going to change up the menu everytime someone feel like creatng a new game. Im Not even sure if some of those submitted tournies were MLG legal..yea

One cool thing about an underground tourney is we can change it up whenever we want. I like the idea of having a different "side" tourney every biweekly.

$20 is too low for a side tourney? I think its fine. We want the most people to play, not the biggest pay outs. To encourage more people you have to lower the price.

I thought side tournies were mostly about fun and not feeling the stressful competitive pressure of high stake tournies.
