Is this a true 0% to 30% Metaknight combo (inescapable) + 0-99% wall combo

I was playing around and with down tilt and I think Marth dTilt can be spammed at a wall from 0 - 99%. Of course there are so little walls on tourney stages (Corneria + Pokemon Statium 1). Maybe you can squeeze and up+B at 99% and if there's a ledge, you can bAir tip, making it 0% - Death. But the chances of that is pretty rare. Of course, you can start this combo at any percent under 99% so it's not completely useless.

But I was playing around with Metaknight and I don't have somebody to help me test locally. Lvl 9 CANNOT escape this on training mode set to Jump, Run or Attack

It goes

Grab, DThrow ~ 5%
QUICK dash grab, DThrow, ~ 10%
QUICK dash grab, DThrow, ~ 15%
This will be about 15%
You can try one more Dash back into grab, but your window of opportunity is probably just 1 frame. Not easy to do and probably not worth the 5%

After that I learned that Metaknight's grab tap out is very poor. When Metaknight taps out he jumps back. At around 15-18% you can dash into second and MetaKnight cannot escape it. I suggest fB,uB,dB,dB since the second swing will pick him up, into the 3rd swing's spike and you can probably connect all the last ones.
That'll give you, at most 35%.

Can somebody test this or just flame me for being ******** and not knowing about this already. Maybe I'm completely wrong and the fB is escapable, but I can't test it really by myself.

I do the find the fact MetaKnight's grab escape is very slow and puts him in a very vulnerable position.

Edit: I think if Metaknight does a grab escape, you can dash into Sword Dance or dash into TIPPED fAir at ANY PERCENTAGE! (NEEDS TESTING!)

We know about the wall infinite and we know about meta's grab release. And i'm guessing you did your combo in training mode where there is no move degeneration. You won't get that much %.

Though the less power in the throw, the closer Metaknight is. Move degeneration works FOR chain grabs, not against. You want a grab to not throw so far if you're trying to chain grab. Based on move degeneration, you might even be able to get more %.

I'm interested the grab escape thing though:

No, it won't work for you. The most percentage you get there is from dancing blade, and that is what degenerates the most.

Like I said, we know all about the grab release sir. About two months too late. Should have put this in the "ask a question, get a quick answer" thread.

Does MetaKnight's grab release always have the same distance or does it vary with percentage?
I'ma test this more with my friends tomorrow regardless.

Edit: I see you posted a video on this.

hey guys i discovered something really cool if you hit jump really fast you can do like a shorter jump i'm not sure if it will be useful though cause then you still get hit by the opponents smash attacks you know?

You can almost always fAir after MetaKnight's Grab Release, or no? fAir starts from behind and above Marth. dAir starts from in front and a below Marth which is where MetaKnight would be. It seems, if you can fAir MetaKnight from that, you can also dAir spike him, since it reaches faster and the distance is tip. I'll try this on my friend tomorrow. Grab near edge, let him grab espace and dash into dAir.

The Wall dTilt is fun stuff though, I just wanted to see what else I could do.

Not almost always, but always. No, you can't Dair him unless the MK decides to not jump. and we've known about the wall infinite since the game came out.

Okay, I got my questions answered. Thanks. MetaKnight is pretty much the only problem I have with my Marth, so knowing the grab release into death (fAir, Dolphin Slash, Dancing blade) will help out later. So I guess it is a true combo (what I mentioned before), if you manage to get the chain grabs done correctly.

JunkInTheTrunk reminded me of that thread where we made the landmark discovery of the uber powerful technique of double jumping.
