Is MLG Ladder weak?

So I see that Bardull and Mekos are #1 and #2 on the MLG ladder. I looked them up on youtube and I learned that they play together (so no lag in their matches). But they aren't that good. Any decent player can tell just watching them.

I'm guessing the good players just don't want to play all those matches?

The really good players don't take it that seriously from what I have heard.

I'm just going to take a stab that you've never played them (Bardull at least).
Here's his team beating DSF in the finals: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qiSezu72Hsg
But I'm sure your so awesome that you would 4 stock him twice.

1. Who are you?
2. Can you quote me on when I said I would 4 stock them? Thx.
3. They just don't seem that good from the few matches I watched them. The videos might be old. I dunno. That's why I made this thread.

You ironically make a post suggesting that Bardull/Mekos are not bad, then assume that I am a noob. This only makes yourself stupid.

Thanks Emblem for the answer I was looking for.

Edit: And I looked at the vid. DSF's Marth in this particular match is playing better than Bardull. Nezumi is just getting *****.

KaShank, don't reply to his answer please. There's no need to have the last word, and it will not start anything. And I'm sure that KaShank got fired up like that because of :

And those guys look OK from the video, it was kind of hard to follow both of them but I just liked the marth player.

Directly above you tipping a dair.
They seem to be O.K. as players but not spectacular. This kinda looked like a typical experienced player match. Maybe its just brawl since the game changed a lot to level the playing field somewhat. This is just my opinion tho.

Ah okay, the bolded part did come out wrong my apologies.

This is also probably the reason. I was expecting to see some new approaching or anything really when I was watching the video, but everything I saw was in the realm of what I would do in a match.

Barely anyone in our LA circle does MLG aside from one guy that I'm aware of who uses Snake. By and large, we just rely on matches in our tournaments [such as the Baton Rogue one this weekend] to determine our skill levels. Lag just takes away so much from the fast reactions of players, and becomes more of a 'wait and see' style of game.

Lagless game play is the best, and pretty much everyone in the La circle would rather drive an hour or two to get a face to face match, than play one minute of a lag filled fight.

ok ive faced Bardull and he is on my AIM list aswell as my FC list, we played and he won 2-1, i won the first and he won the next two which were both really close matches.. he isnt bad and i think your underrating him but also he isnt like omfg ill never be able to beat him... MLG(gamebattles) is a joke if you ask me.. the admin's are never online to monitor much, besides Eric, and half the people on it lie in the end and cheat for wins.. by disputing matches.. (not saying he did) but he's good if you ask me :p

Alot of skilled players may decide not to participate in competitions purely out of uninterest. The lag probably will affect people in some cases; I've never played a 4 player WiFi match with the same frames and connection speed as a brawl with CPUs or just multiplayer on my Wii.
