So like, I'm going to create a content team for Brawlplus.net

Anyone with the ability to bring content (Blogs, Newsletters, Tourney Events, Release Dates) is welcome as well as people with PHP + MySQL knowledge. :V

I'm thinking about switching to Joomla! CMS in order to get started rather than creating a page simply from scratch. V:

Well my Wii already has HBC.

I've just never gotten around to using usbgecko and the wonderful brawl code sets that go along with it.
I'd like to try out both the EX code set and Brawl+

I actually think Wordpress would be a viable solution. It is much lighter and more powerful than Joomla.

That is just my opinion, though. If you do decide to go with Joomla, I can assist with building a site template.

GHNeko, I'm pretty good with more web technologies, html, js, asp, jsp, php ajax mxmla nd such. And I can create mySQL databases with phpmyadmin(who can't?) if you putting together a team I'll join if you want me to. I'm a hand coder though I don't really use any fancy wysiwyg software. not that i can't learn them though

That link is hosted directly off of my computer. It still achieves pretty significant web traffic, and I have the intentions of uploading it onto our server so I don't have to link directly to my webserver. I'll fix that when I'm back home.

Also Buzzsaw, I'll PM you during the week once I'm back. Thank you for your help!

I got some people into brawl plus over here. Sooo it would be cool if you guys could help with a spanish version since I always have to tell them how to set it up. :/

so anyone have any idea whats going on with the site? I made up a prototype mysql/php registration just to see if I could. It still has some bugs, but nothing to major. Are you guys completely rebuilding it with wordpress or joomla? or is the site just on hold for a bit? Let me know

It is under construction, but there will be a ton of new content for users!

Current features of interest:
Usernames/profiles
Mass email for new sets
Private Messaging
Embedded IRC chat for online matchmaking
More robust content

Many new features are currently being worked on

Only tested Safari and Firefox, I'm no web designer lol. Hell, I barely know how to program haha. I was just happy that we got the framework set for the user platform.

If anyone has experience in web design and wants to make everything look pretty, please let me know and I'll hand over that baton very very willingly.
