Interior BC Canada (AKA Thompson/Okanagan/Kootenay/Rockies/Other) Thread

It's a neat idea, and I can let James try that out, but what stages would then become CP'able. The borderline bannable stages are stages such as Lost Planet, Luigi's Mansion, Pirate Ship, JJ, Corneria, Green Greens, and all that jazz. I don't view some of the other stages in that category (ie Pokemon Stadium 2, and Yoshi's Island pipes, like I've voiced earlier) are stages that are playable in competition. Having the token system is somethign to try, but if we do it, we gotta iron out our beliefs of what stages are the banned and which are the CP, and which have no place aside inbetween, thus the token stages.


Furthermore, a major flaw with the token system, aside from out of area players going wtf or us going there and being lost without our technique, is for the size of tournaments. Only getting two pirate ship cps at MOST3 will not cut it for the tournament perhaps, where as if that was upped to 4, that'd be too much at a small smashfest. It's possible to try it out at TC8 (lolol, when I'm not there.), and keep me posted on it. Overall, I'm a bit against it, because I'd rather keep it to regular stuff that won't scare oop (which we are getting some for MOST3) and keep us used to when we go out of our okanagan. I know there ain't many of you guys aren't interested in the out of okanagan stuff, but I'd rather keep it clean and simple for that reason.

We know you're all about boring stages, you main Falco.

I play Ike because he suits my fighting game playstyle, really. Slow moving character that needs timing to land hits, but doesn't need to hit often.

Fox is to cover my Ike's weaknesses, and same with kirby.

I have to agree, with Ebby on a falco main(Walker) liking boring stages.....In the smae sense i really like boring stages, nothing really destracts or interupts me from Smashing there face in! :D

Same stages as usal for tourneys will be good cause i for one do plan on leaving okanagan eventually to get to a big Tourney.


And james... the problem with al's sheik is he is a little coward! he sits away throwing his needles, and if i get close graps me, throws away, follows with one hit, backs off to needles..
I can b-up towards him, then a needle cancels it.. But that vid helped against kirby?

Falco is best on boring stages because is a very generic, systematic character. Hence FD is his best stage, in melee and Brawl.

Wtf guys. You have another TC event and there are no posts you tards. Nitro made me say that, I'm truly sorry. Kithkin was in on it too. And a bit of Chrusher97. Just kidding, I said it on my free will, they all say hi though, Nitro especially. Blitz definitally did not say hi. Kithkin loves kats. He's hugging one right now. while doing stamina mode. wtf guys.

It's pretty awesome here in Sask. The tournament is really awesome, but the one thing is that no one really came. MN smashers (Minnesota, however you spell it, fux), 3 guys from Calgary (mentioned above), 2 from Saskatoon, me from bc, and some people from Regina. Oh, and superboom. But that's it. Not even washington came. ):

But that's the worst part. The tournament is actually really awesome. Food supplied, people in Sask are awesome, I'm actually doing good (James, MM. My samus your luigi. 5$ bo5), and it's just a bunch of chilling. I still do **** against Falco and Falcon though, and the second best from Minnesota I was almost going even with him (Seanson), a sheik. I still don't find them hard. idk.

But yeah, it's pretty rad. I choked twice already, once in teams (got teamed with Link main too. ): ) and once in pools (walked into like 100000 doc fsmashes), but I'm doing great. My Samus.. is wow, besides my two or three bad matchups.

Kithkin got 2nd in doubles, he really wanted me to tell you guys.

Here's a list of the results on how people are doing. The records will help players keep track of their rate of improvement and progress with each other. No match up specifics yet. Youtube links will be posted for the UBCO smash fest vids sometime too. And probable replays from Dynies wii from the PRC and UBCO practices as well.

So far we've seen a huge improvement in Fazha's results. Before that, uncharted, was a good leap in Zyfe's ability. We were joined by Danny one week, who came in and dominated everyone, then Him did great the next week. Along with Culex coming with him and showing some potential and Sweet coming to the smashfest to play the game for the 5th time ever and showing some great potential. Lots has changed in Cake, CC, Dotz, Fazha and others playstyles, new players have come up to join them in the ranks and Dynie is on to the Blue Bunch now that the Green Group is trained up.

Max: Him, Culex, and Sweet are all new to the PR. Him and Culex have prior experience, Sweet not so much. As for right now, Him is the better of the two. He's a smart player, his ICs gave my Fox a run for his money and He managed to beat Danny by CPing DK when he saw that Danny had trouble with DK's range.

Him was pretty good I think. I saw him play a few matches with Pit or something and he seemed to know a bit of what he was doing. Reminds me of Zyfe and Dave though, the way the two of them have the same habbits. Sweet on the other hand, she's played the game 5 times total, so she has some catching up to do

haha yeah Danny getting 3 stocked by my DK, losing to his DK on the CP and getting 2-0'd against AJs DK last week, she really has trouble with that monkey XD

About Him and Culex: I would slot Culex in the low tier but above everyone else. As for Him, I would put him (get it?) either above Danny, or above CC in their respective tiers. The guy is good. His ICs would give Max's grab game some problems.

Yes, TC8 next weekend. James, would you be interested in helping me run it? Also, if we could get some results for TC7, that would be sweet. If you need to refresh your memory, the top four were You, me, Sess, and CC, in that order.

First post in this thread, and I'm just posting to say that "Him" is pretty decent. He gave me a good run when he switched to lucario, and aside from that his IC is good, but he also seems to do well with quite a few characters. I hope he comes to more of the smash fests.

I'de put him under me and Fahza, or maybe under AJ as well since we dont know how he would do against him.

Him has basic knowledge of the game, and needs to make the jump from casual to competitive---learn the nuances and techniques of whatever characters he decides to play. Since Pit and ICs aren't mained by anyone, he would make a nice addition to the group.

I don't know if anyone cares, but his Popo is also wicked.

ICs **** Falco pretty **** hard. Worse than Kirby, he might be the Dotz auto-counter lol. Better get some NEW bread, Max. Him's coming for you. lol Him is such a funny tag. And sure, I'll place them in there sometime, not yet though. Sweet too. I'll change Mike to Tycho if I didn't already too.

Btw, Hotz just decided to main Pit and Vic is finally looking for a back up character because of it. Oh, and Jumblez has a Pit that, when he plays the game more than once a month, he'd probably **** UBCOs **** all over the place with him. Took me to last stock in a ditto yet it was his first time using Pit in about 3 weeks.

Awesome hilarity PRC PR MM story!

Hotztuph and Vic had a best of 5 MM purely for rank and it was hilarious and freakin epic at the same time.

M1, Hotz G&W beat Vic Snake on FD. He was behind a stock the whole match cause he jumped into a charging fsmash at 20% the first stock. Last stock comeback was almost entirely because of the turtle.

M2, Vic Snake beat Hotz Diddy on Smashville. They had a practice match on that stage and Hotz won with that match up but he got 2 stocked this time.

M3, Vic Snake > Hotz G&W on Battlefield. Hotz johned about the stage the whole time cause he CP'd with random and he decided he hated that stage half way through the match.

M4, Hotz Pit > Vic Snake on FD. Hotz first time using Pit in 1v1 and arrow spam won for him. 2 stock.

MATCH 5!!! IT LASTED SEVEN MINUTES on Corneria!!! wtf!?!? Hotz Pit > Vic Snake. It was just a camp fest and me and Jumblez were laughing the whole time cause of how much they were yelling and scared. Vics last stock lasted forever and then he shouted "****! This is my last stock and I have this much damage? Time to run away!" And it lasted forever AGAIN! Finally he rolled into a fsmash lol. Soooo funny.

I have never once CP'd Final Destination

I hate that stage with a passion - so I'm not sure where you got that idea.

The fact that the stage gimps Marth's recovery is reason enough for me to hate it when I play Marth, and the fact that it has a HUGE boundary makes me hate it in particular, not to mention against characters with projectiles that actually have any kind of knockback is a pain in the ***.

Never, I hate that stage.
