Genesis would be pricey. It's July 10-12 at Antioch, California (google maps). I think anyone that's going to Genesis from here is in the OSA though.

What's the difference between OST and OSA anyhow?

I have extreme luck with finding mpeople on Greyhounds. Bunch of buddies from town were on the one I was just on. Apparently they also played smash recently, so I taught one of the guys the Gonzo combo. <.< ONe of them was talking ****, thinks his GANON could beat me. Psshaw. I told him he could play me any day any game 20$. I hope he takes up my offer. Apparently someone who was all up in my **** (childhood friend) is "Sooooo good" with Mario, so I'll go **** him when I finally make it to the island to one of the UVic biweeklies.

Jamesies gets full drivers seat in directing the next smashfest, but that changes when I'm back. Me co-host Most3? Yes?

Regarding the change on PR.

Due to Lib, Cake and Fazha crap performances and lack of consistancy over the last couple smashfests, and Danny coming from nowhere to dominate so well, Danny is above them. Zyfe, being the ONLY one to capture ALL of the details from the weeks lessons and actually APPLY them to his game, repeatedly ***** everyone, so he is moving above those with poor performance habbits previously mentioned as well. Though Lib and Cake had better results than Fazha, Fazha's Ike was consistant and ***** harder now than ever because he actually applied this weeks teachings to his game. The reason he lacks the results is because of him willingly working on his weaker characters in tourney, along with chosing random characters like Falco for no reason in matches. CC will stay in place, even after his good performance, and Dave will be inserted just below Cake in the rankings. He's one above Saki because of bonus for taking the only match off of me all tourney.

I've balanced out the lists so that High, Mid and Low Tiers in all of the tiers (Roy, UBCO-S and PRC) are all roughly equal to each other in skill, grouped accordingly as close to accuratly as I can.

I beat Danny and Fazha (No character johns) in the round robin last week. Still below? Worst bit I did was that I lost my set to CC, who Fazha also lost to. Eh?

Also, Dotz has lots of motivation and potential already showing in Melee. imo he should be in low tier for now instead, from what I saw playing him.

My point still remains though: You beat me once, not twice. Aside from my poor preformance against Zyfe, and my upset loss against CC, I stayed a lot more consistant than you did. Either way, last week AND this week, you didn't do great, he did great at least 1 of those weeks.
edit/ps: he also took a match off Dotz, CC, and brought me to last stock, high %. Which you didn't do any of. After flatzone, you're just gonna have to do as well again and hopefully better. Next week if Fazha is stupid again, then it's pretty much the way he plays and he'll inevitably go down (maybe a couple) places for stupidity. Cause that can kill him in tourney. lol

Well, I don't want any "I didn't use my main" johns. Results are results, and if we start going by those rules, then the first match of the set could basically become the set winner by just switching to different characters and throwing the matches. No johns, am I right, guys?

He is better with Ike, but if he is stupid again, then that's just him and he'll be naturally worse for throwing away matches. Trying out new characters is different though, more significant than just having results. If Dotz picked up Jiggs and used ONLY Jiggs next smashfest and got ***** 0-20 or something, he'd still be where he is on PR, because of Falco. get it?

I made one final adjustment to the Brawl PR and as of MOST3 (March 28th) the PR will become monthly updated. The March PR will not change until the end of April and so on.

Yay melee skill upgrade! We haven't had a good melee fest in a long time. Sucks.

Dotz requested that the next few weeks he won't move on the PR because in tourney he's gonna be using Oli, Marth or something to find a sub and either way I wouln't have moved him anyway because he's better than that. Would you agree with that concept?

Same with Fazha and Ike, Fox and Kirby, he's better than his Falco/Dedede/etc. Stupidity is the only factor in his falling in results, nothing more. He's higher than you on OBPR right now, gonna do something about it?

Jamesies, how about we get people to discount their matches pre-tournament? To avoid argument later? I'm totally fine with discounting people's preformance if they go subs only for in tournament practice. Perhaps do more double elims for fees to get people to be more incentive?

There is no argument needed right now. If you want people to tell you when they don't want matches to be considered by you ahead of time then sure. I like to take what a player can do into consideration instead. Another example, Dotz vs my Kirby is like, so freakin easy for me that I can screw around all match and win. If he choses to fight my Ike instead, then it's tough for me and I'd actually have to try a bit to even keep up. Is he better? No. Am I worse? No. lol discounting means nothing. I discount every tournament match that I don't Random to MK for lulzlulz

I have a question, actually. I'm going to be using fox next weekend, and if I can place at least decently close to where I was last time (I finished second in TC7, but Zyfe Dotz and Kosk weren't even in the tourney.) I'm thinking, If I can at least make loser's finals with foxy woxy, would that merit an improvement in my overall placing?

I tend to experiment in our non-tournament games regardless of rank or not. I mean, It's not like your rank determines much. Even if I was bottom tier or something, and I ended up finishing 2nd in a tournmament, money is money.

P.S. My fox is fast now. I have combos. Watch your bread, Max.

Yeah it could bring you up, Fazha. Though just getting a good Fox+Ike combo will make you **** **** harder and naturally you'll be better than you were before.

Edit2: I went ahead and a stagelist for Melee singles. For melee doubles, should we allow some other doubles only counterpicks like Mushroom II, Princess Peach's Castle, Onett, etc etc?

Also, as for SSB, how should the neutrals work, since there is only two? Hyrule or Dreamland? The only thing I can think of aside from make it just one Neutral to agee on, but I can see problems with any CF vs Fox mains, if you get what I'm saying. I'm more for Hyrule Castl;e being the neutral, and we could take a vote to it.

Though Saffron and Sector Z I think if the other player doesn't mind being countered to that stage, then it's ok. Can't really camp on those stages unless it's match up specific, unlike YIs clouds and MKs edges. So those can be counter/banned. lol

What we can do about the Brawl stage list is make the Neutral/Counters to Counters, the one weird category with the always banned but acceptible counter banned, and that just leaves the sometimes banned sometimes counterpickable to be be, once again, decided upon.

Growing lenient, Luigi's Mansion, Pirate ship, and Green Greens can be coujnterpick, but there's just too much messed up with Pokemon Stadium 2, and Yoshi's Island Pipes is hardly even a stage, Hanenbow being more of a stage than it, or Onett even.

I'm fine with that, but I want to keep the stage list as simple as possible. We have the dumb stages rule active anyway (You make pick a banned stage is both players agree), so I don't see the need for the half-counter half-banned bit. I'm all for making Saffron a CP stage, though, but we should ask the resident Ness players their thoughts, since it'll **** them up good. We can put the Sector Z level to a vote as well, my vote being to ban it.

Andrew's Sheik is pretty solid, too. Heck, Andrew is just a good player. He'll move up soon.

Also there was a guy who beat my Fox today with Weegee (Matchup knowledge>Fazha). Him and a friend should be at TC8 this weekend, too.

Seriously, AJ, you should just CP like Samus and own me cause I have no idea what Samus does in a competitive match.

My Fox took a step back today, focusing too much on landing combos rather than moving around. I'm expecting a decline on Saturday.

What I think would be interesting for the stage list, is to give each player a certain amount of, say, "tokens" that they can use to CP a stage like Pirate Ship or Luigi's Mansion. So if, for example, I really, really need a win against say, Max's Falco, I can use a token to CP Pirate Ship and go with Fox (Or even Ike if I ever get around to properly learning how to spike with him.)

Luigi ***** Fox pretty hard. His priority on everything is just way bigger. Like playing against Sonic or something, he can just spam downB and speed means nothing.
