Allied, the truth is..even if he is broken (which I don't think he is) I'd much rather the game stay the way it is. Too many changes are turning people off. Let's give people time to adjust and learn how to counter the stupidness first you know? And yeah thanks to D1 I have a Wii again so I'm gonna definitely get on TvC

If the online doesn't suck I'll play you eventually..I need to get back up to speed though. I played the *** version today and I sucked ***...
Once you learn your BnBs. You never forget them brah. <3

I was able to do all my Megaman BnBs within 5 mins of play after not playing TvC JP for a few months.

And even if wifi sucks. You must play (and get wrecked) by my Mega. :3

Well yeah..I can still do the Karas Mega Crash combos and his infinite but that doesn't mean I'm good. There's more to the game than knowing how to do combos *_*. Knowing exactly how to poke, general movement speed, blocking properly and reaction all requires getting back in tune with the game and it's specific timings. Just because you can do a 30 hit combo doesn't mean you'll actually land the initial hit necessary to do that combo. Gotta think about the pros who will see that sh*t coming a mile away. :ohwell:

You don't have to, you can just play with me whenever you're free.

If I can get time between school, job search, and other games, I'll be practicing with Blade and either Joe or Ken.

Good online will help motivate, especially since I'm not gonna be that far...come on Capcom, you've got GGPO netcode license....

I'd like to get into TvC.

I need a fight pad right? That's going to be annoying.
If you have a PS2 pad/stick, PS2->GC converters are super cheap online (less than 10 with shipping). Good ones too.

Honestly, though I doubt it will really take off. The original did for about a month or 2 at most, and American release? Most people that cared enough to play in a scene got the game already.

The original lasted a short time in USA because of region locking and lack of people willing to hack or drop for a JP console.

It will take off alot more successfully in USA because its USA and the console isnt expensive and more people who already have it dont have to hack or pay extra for importing (if they imported)

Like I said, no one who really wanted to play the game was stoped by those problems. It did have a strong following for a short bit. It will be successful sales wise because more casual players will generally buy the game.

from what i read ssf4 is not dropping until apr/jun. my info could be outdated as all heck though. TvC usa will have time to shine.
SSFIV looks like late March early April for America.

Good stuff at Pound, guys. Special grats to Glick for nabbing 4th in singles. Sucks you had to forfeit, but you're proving your skill at an amazing pace. Keep at it!

Seeing the results kinda has me hyped for future tournaments. Once the codeset becomes stable and doesn't change, I'll likely train hardcore again.

TvC sounds good too, though I honestly doubt it'll hold a really active scene.

Oh, and we gotta get to that Mario Bros Wii Fest too!

I'm not hating on US TvC, I just don't see the hype -_-.

A NSMB Wii fest is the perfect thing if you want the crew to breakup :chuckle:. Nothing but massive hate and spite comes from 4 player mode

Dai, stop hating. You don't see the hype because you yourself don't have any hype. And what does it matter? Do you only play games because they have insane amounts of hype backing them? I'd hope not, because if you do then that's pretty lemmings-like. I also think you highly underestimate how epic the difference is between releasing a game officially in US and having to import/pirate it. Keep in mind the demographic that supports importing/pirating is extremely small compared to the vast amounts of Wii users who have either no knowledge of pirating or don't like buying Japanese games because believe it or not, there are some people who actually prefer their games in English..go figure. The only people that knew about TvC were pretty much the hardcore and alike. Everyone else either had no idea it existed or didn't wanna go through all the hacking in order to make it work just like Neko said a while ago. It will do just as well as all the other star studded Capcom vs. games do especially since it's on the Wii, which for some stupid reason is still selling the most consoles in the US.

Anyway...no fest

I wish I only played games that get insane amounts of hype in them. But I have a general history outside of smash of playing games that don't get the most attention. GG needs more love.

You're right that TvC will sell a good amount here because of those people. I'm just saying that more competitive players willing to go to tournaments won't emerge in great numbers since it is generally these people that are able/willing to get the import and their friends.

It was well known though by any fighting game fan I've found, competitive or not.

I could go on why Wii is selling the most in the US, but that's another story and I'm sure you know too.

TvC will suffer the Brawl wifi syndrome. And while that will invite a bunch of scrubs, we'll get about 10% worth of good players from this tidal wave of scrubs.

Which in time while be the players who give TvC respect and consistant hype.

I think neko summed it up pretty well.
