I see chopsticks, a bowl of rice, and a black background.
=[
When you look closely enough, but if you lazily look at it the shading of the rice looks like craters, and the black background looks like space.
And yeah. The chopsticks look like light or something.

I do tend to think of people as their avatar...I imagine that can be annoying to some people for me, because I change it semi-regularly (what can I say, I'm totally ADD with avatars...at least I've found a location to stick with). There are SOME people that I've seen real-life pictures of whom I picture as they really look, but a lot of pictures don't stick with me anyways.

So I do occasionally think of someone as a female even when I know they're a guy, just because I see the avatar that's a female. The only exception to that is Samus in her suit, because she doesn't look like a girl without knowledge that she is one.

I read the first post and now I'm coming in to say that I wish people would understand that mods can occasionally be wrong, and that they're allowed to have different opinions.
[This is related to the colored name bit]
I've seen a lot of character-oriented conversations stopped or turn into a flame-fest this way and it makes me sad.

I kinda want to comment on that without de-railing my thread too much, so here goes.

People treat mods like they aren't even human. It's like..."A mod...in THIS thread?! OMG." It's quite ridiculous, and to be honest, a really dumb thing to say. Forgive me for using Bunny as an example here, but in the match finding thread in M&G, she just asks for a match, and the reaction is pretty much like she's some kind of exotic creature. It's dumb, because admins, mods, debators, BRoomers, SBRoomers, and any other color you can think of are basically, when you go down to it, people.

I personally see colors as titles...you may be an admin or a mod, but I just see you as someone who maintains the place, and past that, I think of them like normal people.

I treat mods generally like normal people. Because I dont have a reason to have some crippling fear of them. They aren't the police, and I dont even feel awkward around them either soooooooooooooooooo....

I'm so cool, I'm actually a Squirtle irl.

And yeah, I see no reason to get all hyped up over mods.

I always put mods on pedastals.
I'm not gonna lie about it, they're more special to me than yellow names.
Especially black ones.

Queen Killjoy has a post count of 10 digits. What does that mean?

Anyway, I don't really find post count, names and avatars etc. imporant. I don't really care about these things ;p

So, you picture me as Manfred von Karma?
Wow, I totally missed this post. :urg:

But yeah, like...I know what a lot of people from OTL and stuff look like, but I still imagine them to look like their avatars. :x Like I think that you look like von Karma and Darren looks like that guy with the weird facial expression.

Well, I'm basically Karma with brown hair and fewer wrinkles. xD

You're just one big amalgamation of all the lolis, making you a popsicle sucking, watemelon holding, multicolour having super loli.

Stay away from some areas of the interwebs. :3

This must mean I was seen as nothing but appalling celestial waste for the longest.

I usually think of people looking how their avatars look too. Every time I see Hylian post I think "Hey look, Link just posted something," then remember "oh yeah, I see him at every tournament I go to, he talks, so he's not Link."

The color of people's names usually has some impact on how I view their posts. If I see that someone is a mod, then I generally assume that their post has some credability behind it and that they aren't someone who's going to just go around to stir people up for dumb reasons (though I do know one exception of a certain BRomer).

Hmm... other than that, I talk to mods and admins the same way as I talk to normal members. I'm a mod on another site (way smaller than this, but still) and I can say that it's extremely annoying having people treat you differently because of your status on a site.

... I still picture Hylian looking like Link even though I know what he looks like. I also picture him wearing a santa hat on his nose during christmas time. Avatars can do amazing things.

Well, I actually look at the username first and then the post. I rarely ever look at the location and join date and all that stuff unless I'm just really curious.

And I do picture people sometimes as their avatars.

So yeah, to the people that are looking to fight someone in Brawl/Melee/whatever, I don't blame you for skipping over me: I AM roadkill.

Holy crap, Fence's avatar isn't supposed to be a moon?
I'd bet the connection is deliberate. >_>

I usually imagine people with different color names as stuck up, pompous pontiffs. Such is jealousy. T_T
