I'm sure you guys have people in school that certain friends just flat out don't like or a lot of people don't like and they give you crap if you're seen talking to them.

**** them. If I want to talk to someone, I'm going to talk to them. If someone's apparently annoying and I don't find them annoying, great. I'll talk to them if I want. If someone's a social outcast, I'm going to talk to him. I like talking to people with problems. If there's a new kid that no one likes and I want to talk to him, I'm going to talk to him.

tl;dr Don't let your friends control you. Have your own mind.

I saw a girl crying because the guy she was friends with girlfriend told him he can't talk to her. (ok, I could have phrased this sentence better)

The ******* listened, and the girl thought their friendship was better then that.

I felt bad, so I talked to her about how a guy like that isn't even worth talking to. Even if they thought so.

I don't think I helped, but I tried. :/

some people just have self esteem issues, anyone that can talk to them kindly could mean the world to them. be friends with everyone. even your enemies haha.

I thought this ended in high school for most people, harassment for talking to a certain kind of person.

I may be the exception though, as over the years I've been friends with every possible clique in this school. The emos, the scenes, the jocks, the nerds, quite obviously the gamers, the art kids, and band kids... I've been about everywhere.

I find it kind of funny to be around my group of better friends, we're such an assorted group.

That's pretty stupid, but it's more of the way people judge you in general for talking to someone not many people like, not that they say to you, don't talk to that person. That's just shocking someone would even open their mouth to say that.

I was far too venomous at school for anyone to bother giving me **** for who I talked to.

They do do it though, which is stupid, but not being a sheep is one step towards a happier life, no lie.

That's what I do, which is why people have a beef with me. I talk to emos, gamers, jocks, preps, bandos, so when say a jock is like "Why you talking to *bando's name here*?", it gets annoying. That's what I get for being too friendly.

Lol, people telling you that you can't talk to other kids at school?

That's the funniest thing I've ever heard.

Wah, you got beef for such things? That's getting seriously ridiculous .
I've never had **** with anyone for talking to a 'rejected' or anything. I know for one that doing such things is mad stupid, because I used to do that 4 years ago. It's a big sign of immaturity coming from them.

If you're literally getting **** with people for such things, the only thing I can say is: What the f*ck?

Huh.

Over here you don't get that too much. I talk with the biggest outcast (harsh I know..) at my school and nobody gives me **** about it. It changes as you go from freshman to senior though.

I personally think the freshman/sophmore in our school now are even more socially stupid than us when we were that age. They're really the only ones that go around doing stuff like you said <.< I can't wait until I graduate. Getting away from them.

...doh who am I kidding. My class used to be like that x.x

I'm one of those people who can somehow get along with every group which is odd because I generally distance myself from most people yet somehow I still get along with these people even if I don't like them.

That's a great attitude to have and will benefit you in the long run. I'm glad to see that there are more people capable of individual thought in high school.

That's a good thing, you're open and versatile enough to interact with lots of people but you won't get sucked into the drama at the same time.

Same here. I'll talk to te emos, the ganstahs, the music kids, the artsies, the punk-rock-semi-emos, the jocks, etc. But I'm usually the quiet. The weird thing is that people will come over and talk to me. I mean, in middle school, I used to be the quiet, glasses wearing guy that gets straight A's even when he spends his time ignoring the teacher and drawing in class. But it's changed in highschool. So I don't see why people would say that, Jumpman. I mean, aren't you a junior?
