But yeah, I understand what your saying. I doesn't really "piss me off" as much as it shocks me. I have never understood how Elmo was "gangsta"
That's because he isn't, I guess tough guys just like to make a mockery out of him by wearing cartoonish babish icons, I may be wrong.

that pretty much sums it up.

It's almost the same thing with guys wearing pink shirts. That trend never really stopped, and now it's just accepted. People don't go "Oh look at that trendy gentleman, he's wearing pink!" Wearing a pink shirt isn't so much of a fad as it was back then, but we still see it around.

Hopefully this won't be the case with Elmo backpacks.

Well guess what people can wear what they want. You may find it annoying but they are wearing it anyway and making a thread on Smashboards is probably the best way to get them to stop. You are totally right

We don't mind what they wear. The fact that they call them selves "G's in da hood" is what this is about. We don't mind if they wear this stuff, if only they stop doing BS claims.

I know some people like to dress "ironically," but I've never heard of anyone doing it to try to be a gangster (my whiteness prevents me from spelling it any other way).

In high school, I mostly just saw people wearing Winnie The Pooh shirts because they wanted people to think they were quirky and and in-touch with their inner child.

Whatever. People will wear what they want. There's no point in getting bothered by it unless it's a swastika armband. Or crocs.

If people started wearing crocs to label themselves as a g, I'd most likely kill myself.
That whole Preschool backpack thing has died down where I live. Now it's mostly those shirts that depict a mascot of some kind like captain crunch high on crack holding money and wearing a grill. As if that doesn't make you look ********.

I thought it was for the people who couldn't afford the fancy ones.Don't get me wrong, I LOVE ELMO (no sarcasm) because he is so cool and doesn't act ********,he's so sofisticated that the children have no idea what he is saying.but dora just says "jump around like an idiot" and waits too long.

At least it's not those dumb "sunglasses" that look like window shades that 50 cent wore (or some other rapper). I think they're ********.

That reminds me of how Soulja boi writes his name on his shades. A few guys started doing it here but the idiots actually wrote "soulja boi" on their shades. Saddest trend I've ever seen.

Wearing Elmo backpacks really shows maturity in a high school. I mean who the hell could ever take someone seriously with a freakin Elmo pack on?

I was going to agree with you guys on the whole "kiddy clothes" wearing fad, but then I remembered I wear a shirt with Super Mario in his bear form from Super Mario 3.

*looks at my frog Mario shirt*

Yep.

I don't think I've ever seen Dora and the like being worn here. Mostly it's Loony Tunes characters and the occasional cereal mascot. And people living in real ghettos do wear these things.

Does that happen to be the baby blue one with Mario in the corner? You know the one with the bubble coming up?

It happens in my school too, and I hate it. I just don't understand why people are stupid enough to buy this baby-kid crap...

Yeah, I remeber this, kids at my high school would typically wear black "Locs" behind their heard backwards, heck I saw it so much that at one point I started doing it myself, afterwards i felt kind of dumb for doing so since it really wasn't my style.
