If You Were To Change Something About Falco, What Would It Be?

I'm not a huge fan of his reflector to be honest. I feel like I would have prefered the Melee one. But then again, it does offer something new.

If I had my way, his F-Air would be much like Diddy Kong's F-Air or DDD's B-Air.

I like the new reflector, it opens up a lot of possibilities that you don't have with Fox's reflector. You can space with it, extend combos, get it closer to a projectile spammer so they can't dodge, using it from the ledge to get yourself up, etc. I also think it helps to differentiate him from the other spacies.

I would give his Side-B ridiculous priority so he doesn't get gimped so easily, and take just a bit of ending lag off his Fair. It would be a really useful and interesting move if you weren't guaranteed to get punished for using it on stage.

Yeah, like he isn't good enough already, but he's my main and that's what I'd change about him.

If I just got one thing I would make firebird a real recovery as opposed to a gimp festival. I would even be happy to hear that the end of the attack hits people now. It's frustrating to ram my beak into my friends when they're out of invincibility frames, and still fall to my doom.

Give the new Fair a bit more horizontal range.

Eliminate the startup lag on his phantasm and replace it with cancelable end lag

Hmm...I'd have to add change the priority of his recovery, Firebird. Horizontally, and straight forward, I get tired of always getting really short going horizontally. So I'd change the Firebird, and his Fair needs a re-adjustment.

if i could only change one thing, it would be higher priority (like really high lol) on the phantasm so i dont get gimped so easily.
but other stuff that could be better are a completely new fair, and longer firebird.

I miss his old laser. SHL was amazing in Melee.

I don't mind his reflector too much, but I find it impossible to reflect moves like din's fire and pk freeze.

Tad bit more priority on phantasm.

Change his aerials/jab so that he doesn't spin like a top on all his moves...seriously, I get dizzy just WATCHING him.

I'd love to extend the range on it by about 20%, and make recovering from below less of a hassle.

I'd change his taunts. Including the voice. God****, the accent never stops being annoying, no matter how many lulz you get out of bread and pizzacake.

The taunts should change because none of them make any sense as taunts. "Hands off my prey"? When are you supposed to say that? When the guy gimps himself?
"Don't try me" - makes you look like a douche unless you seriously seriously just pwned the guy in an epic comeback.

Maybe his Fire Bird is lame; I can't say. I think the whole dynamic of side and up B mechanics 'tween the StarFox crew is screwy, so I wouldn't change one part without changing all of it.

I really love the character. He's high tier in a field with infinites, guys, how can you complain?

well, in that case, the firebird can still be as long as fox's.

I'd make his reflector like Fox's; there are very few uses for kicking it, and shine spiking is always fun Either that, or I'd make his firebird go farther (like Fox's firefox).

Chaingrab works on all characters to unlimited %
No ending lag of shine. Add directional control for shine, where neutral = melee.
Lasers shoots faster if not as fast as fox. Triple stun time.
Firebird a hell lot longer, or let the FREAKING BIRD FLY/GLIDE.

Make his taunt chuck cake and bread with can heal falco and ohko anyone else who touches it.

He's a bird and I know we all hate his recovery, so wither he gets to glide or his Firebird is ridiculously long.
I'd give him a Lakers (purple and yellow) 'fit.
Bring back the old wheel kick forward smash.
Bring back the range of the split kick down smash.
Bring back the old 'if it connects, you're dead' spike, not the 'hayguyzugotaasweetspot' one we have now.
Everything else is fine.

I love the reflector though.

I honestly wouldn't change anything except a little less lag on the Fair. Everything else is fine for what Falco has become in Brawl. To be honest, all I am seeing is either recovery problems or stuff he had in melee. If you liked him that way, play him in melee.
He's become a completely different character in brawl, and that's a good thing, I WANT a different experience when switching back and forth between games. One more big thing is that you guys fail to realize that FALCO IS GOOD IN BRAWL!!! Why bother changing something great? Unless there is some groundbreaking new AT or strategy for all characters that makes Falco almost unusable, we have NOTHING to complain about.

actually, i think most of us here KNOW he is great already, but what's wrong with thinking of ways to make him better? it's not like any of this stuff is actually gonna happen. this is a mostly for fun topic.
