I'd get Jigglypuff to sing at my birthday party.
You just won the internet.

I'd probably want Anberlin. I've seen them in concert and I love nearly all of their music. Either them or The Ataris.

I think i'd get any of these bands:

Arsonists Get All The Girls
A Hero A Fake
Between The Buried And Me
Underoath
Circa Survive
Funeral For A Friend

I'd have all the heavier stuff first, while everyone is hyped up. Then mellow out at the end.

You've wasted more of your life...
Can't believe so many people love hard rock/metal!!

Anyway, in no order,
Hollywood Undead- Undead, Young, Dead in Ditches
Linkin Park- New Divide, Somewhere I Belong, In The End
Bullet For My Valentine- All These Things I Hate(Revolve Around Me), Eye of the Storm, Scream, Aim, Fire
System of A Down- B.Y.O.B.
Disturbed- Striken

Listen to Hollywood Undead!!

with the exception of sonata arctica(could think of better songs though) iron maiden, and megadeth, I don't like most of the bands in this thread

but it'd be power metal, definitely. Stratovarius, or Thunderstone, or Sabaton, or Rhapsody of Fire, or Edguy, or falconer, or gamma ray, or hammerfall...

but mainly Stratovarius, Falconer, or Hammerfall! (WoW nerds unite)

Edit: Dream Theater is another band I like >.<

I'd have Cake perform while I eat my birthday cake. Oh man I've only got 20 days left to send them an invitation and order my delicious lemon cake where a girl with a short skirt and a long jacket comes out.

Excellent choices. I'd take Reel Big Fish for sure.

Hmm...actually, since I'll be 21 on my next birthday and so will my best friend (who I wish was more than a friend), I'll say Michael Buble and I'd take her out to a fancy restaurant, drink some wine, and then dance to Michael Buble's amazing singing. *sigh*

for you.
better songs for you, you mean. :p
Oddly enough I don't like any of the other bands you listed which are often associated with SA. The again, I love Streetlight Manifesto and can't stand other Ska. I love The Megas, and I hate The Protomen.

My music tastes are pretty hard to understand, heh.

@ Quivo
I like Neautral Milk Hotel's album with "King of Carrot Flowers" on it. That whole album is excellent.
I know Animal Collective not a fan though.

Yea, the album is Aeroplane Over the Sea, and probably one of my favorite albums. Solid song after another.

Animal Collective is an acquired taste and I don't blame anyone for disliking them. Their stuff changes with each new album though.

You, sir, have good taste.

I would like Muse or Red Hot CHili Peppers to play. Heck, I would just be happy to see them live, Lol.
thanks. I like alot of 90's stuff like soundgarden. I like alice in chains, and other ska bands but yeah. Thanks!

Daft Punk playing at my house.

Neutral Milk Hotel is way more acquired taste than AC. I say this because I gave the album a listen after all the good things I've heard and had to stop after about the fifth song. I just couldn't take that guy's voice. He's like a super concentrated version of Alec Ounsworth from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah (which I really like, by the way). A lot of people obviously like NMH very much, but I doubt most of them liked their music straight off the bat. NMH is a taste I'd have to acquire, but quite frankly, it's not one that I'd want to acquire.

Hey Broken Social Scene is amazing. For my b-day it'd have to be the New Pornographers though. If not them then either Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, or the Unicorns. In fact I can't decide. Almost every band out of canada is auto-win really. <3
