I'm pretty bad at both games. (Melee and Brawl)
But I'm sure I can beat you guys no problem.
craz is just dumb for not understanding why I used the word "obviously" excessively in my response.
QraQ free money is good. But money it takes to go to OOS tourneys> Money won from 10$ money matches.

Thanks gimp. Since we are honestly one the first states to do this and won't be in a week...what else are we to do when he is allowed anywhere else? If you have any ideas other than don't ban meta...please...please...state them, and don't criticize. You think you would do this being a mod right?

hahahaha, idaho has like one tournament a month and tries to turn the tables saying socal is full of **** because they won't go to no-name idaho?
ummm we're where all the tournaments are at. if you were actually remotely serious about not sucking, you would come just because we have real tournaments.

and yet the stupidity continues... BC you may not like it, but i'm going to try to put the final word on this.
We will go down there if we can and feel comfortable with our skills, currently BC and Nuttz are the only ones good enough to consider making the trip, Tate, Kinx and Lemon could hold their own but would not win. The rest of us are getting better fast though especially No U.
Almost every single Idaho smash player has a real life though and can't easily take time away from it for a tourny. (hints the 1 tourny a month)
When we get better and school calms down for those of us that still have to deal with that, we'll probly become serious about getting tournies together and going out of state. When we get to that point we'll be expect people to come up to ours just as much as you expect us to come down.
Now enough with the empty trash talking, none of you know how good or bad the other is so just give it a rest. Once we all meet though, let the mud fly! Seriously people, you've even gotten M2K and Gimpy commenting on the stupidity of all this!
We'll get better, stop underestimating Idaho, for all anyone knows I could beat you people, same goes for you (BC) though they may be better than you (I highly doubt it though)

That is true, we have probly 30 people worth playing against (not saying they're all good, just they can be with some work). I could track down about 50 or more instate smash players, but there'd be so many noobs. Then there are the 10 or 15 who can be considered good (or getting there by BC's standards)

As much as i would like to think i could beat alot of the people posting its really pretty unlikely. For the most part Idaho is behind the curve for smash skill. With that said i don't see any more reason for all you cali people to keep **** talking us.
See i would love to go to a tourney in cali but i just dont have the money or time right now to go all the way there. It's not that i don't try to play serious or attempt to get better but more i can't leave the state as easily as some of you can.

The onus is on you to demonstrate why he should be banned. You have to create a set of criteria that people agree describes a 'bannable' character, and prove the data fit the criteria. How you convince people that your criteria are the "right" ones is your problem.
I'm not against the ban in principle, I've just never seen anyone come up with a coherent and not blatantly subjective set of ban criteria. People are just going around spouting theorycraft, or saying "he's too good" or "he wins too much" as if it's "obvious" to everyone else what "too much" means. At this point, I think anyone who bans MK is doing a disservice by gimping their community's ability to handle MK to the rest of the MK-playing nation.
Ok Hyuga, you bring up a good point. No true justification. I'll put something together in writing and make a blog and put a link to it. Looking back...this is why we are getting so much ****. Its not just he's too good...or wins too much...because that mindset is as n00bish as saying fox in melee should be banned because he's too fast....and discussions with panelists and community members have been going on for longer than just "now". Communication is a dangerous thing when not done properly, and here Idaho has not done their part...
I will post the positives and negatives of banning metaknight(i do know some are out there). Then the true criticism can begin.
Quick note though: Some of the overall negatives for most states like Oos play that I will include honestly don't affect us as much as other states. Boise/W. Idaho is almost too isolated for Oos play. It is an 8-10 hour center ground between Nevada, All Utah, Oregon, Washington , NorCal, Montana.
