i just feel like people are crying because that have to make the choice between havign sex with a super hot girl and an ugly girl.
you dont have to pick the ugly girl.... so why cry about her being there?
Well, I see I miss melee whining in all the brawl threads, so why not I love brawlness in the Melee thread?

Why is everyone else picking the ugly girl? She's not that great lol. I'm sure once they all realize that they'll be back to the hot one.
Although if this was really about girls then I'd gladly let everyone else go for the ugly girl.

Well your right. There has been alot of spam and "**** brawls" all over the place, but now it doens't feel like people are joking. All this has gone a long way in tearing the community apart.
I'll stop being negative towards brawl on the boards if it bugs you i guess.

Anyone is free to like or not like Brawl, or think that the metagame, as it stands right now sucks or not. Also I don't think a single person has said that they hate Melee; Melee vs Brawl is a false dichotomy.
But any claim about the eventual fate of Brawl's metagame in either direction is purely conjecture and argument from ignorance. Just because "you can't see it any other way" is not a valid line of reasoning.
Also, it just seems like people on both sides pick and choose between "you can/cannot compare Brawl and Melee that way" whenever it suits their argument. Personally I just don't see the point in not trying to build up Brawl from the ground up. Why not adopt that mentality?
Basically I'm telling everyone to shut up and play what they like. If enough people want to stick to Melee then there will be tournaments.

Things that would make Brawl awesome:
1: Much more hit stun
2: More defined weight classes
3: Not being able to attack after an airdodge (not AS much as a problem)
4: Less Extreme DI'ing
5: Not hyping a game up and delaying it twice for what I got out of it
....It's still fun, but it isn't Smash to me. Sakurai just took it way too far in being noob friendly IMO. I REEEALLY hope this game develops A LOT more, because it's sad when I have more fun playing Melee computers than humans in Brawl. I can't believe I'm saying it, but it just isn't the same anymore. =(

I think what Hyuga is saying is that no one knows for sure where the metagame is headed. Regardless of what it may seem like now, anything can happen. Who knows what new exploits and feasible strategies might be discovered that can shape/change the metagame all together.
And in truth, new things are always being discovered in Brawl. No matter how much someone denies it, there is so much room for this game to develop. But whatever.
It is different from Melee and if people don't like it, they shouldn't play.

See, Brawl may become a game of decent depth on a competitive level later on, and that would be cool. But for the most part it's the actual physics of the characters' movement that makes Melee a much more satisfying game to me. From what I can tell, it pretty much just come down to taste. Though, personally, I absolutely cannot see why anyone would like Brawl better. And it's kind of frustrating, especially when a good amount of people including myself want to keep the Melee community alive.

Haha, thanks. But until I get more experience against non-Fox and -Luigi characters, I think I'm still on the "get-*****" end of things at a Smashfest. So that's what I'll be going for.

I don't hate on Brawl because it's the popular thing to do; I hate on Brawl because it's the right thing to do.
Also, I make sure to do it in other threads, because again, I do believe this thread should be for reminiscing about good Melee times, and talking about Melee.
