Personally, I hate long hair on guys. As a rule of thumb, I think if you need to pull your hair back when you throw up, it's too long. But that's just me. If you want to go headbanger, that's your prerogative.

Whenever I get to the point where it takes 2 minutes to wash my hair, and 2 more to comb it down, I cut it to the top of my ears and then its done. Mine grows back fast and really I don't try to impress anyone so if you're pretty much the same way, just go with comfort..

I just thought of something. A reverse mullet. The long hair that is usually in the back is in front over your eyes, and the back is shaved.

(Y= length of pit/chest hair, L= Length)

So, a guy with inch long chest hair will have his ideal long hair at 6 inches, or 3 inches if it's short.

I've grown my hair out long a couple times. The first time, I got it cut when it was long enough to donate (10 inches min.) I got it cut once after that, and that was like 13 months ago. Now it's almost at the point where I can donate it again, so I think I'm gonna hold out until then.

It gets really annoying by then though. It's already really annoying. You'd think it's worst in the summer, but I can deal with the heat. The real problem is that now it keeps getting blown around a lot, and getting caught in my clothes. So take that into account too.

It depends on whether your hair flows down, or whether it stays up. Mine doesn't flow down like a girl or an emo kid, it just grows up and out. So I can get it pretty long without worrying about my vision. I'd say as long as you can still see fine, don't cut it.

I got the best haircuts at Wal-Mart until the white lady quit and some fat ghetto black chick came in and was like "You want the Shineisha cut, BRAH?" and I was like "...no"
