I was searching for some juciy Brawl rumours, actually, I think I typed in on google "Brawl speculation" and searched through sites.
I found SWF eventually, and decided to sign up...

And this may come as a shock to you, but for how big these forums are, they actually maintain great standards. I can't think of any other forums this size that maintain well.

No, I am not talking about the size, nor the members. It is just the **** advertisements everywhere. In the top of the forum, In between posts #1, and #2 in every thread. Even in our posts there are advertizements( The gray double underlined words.) No custom Avaters untill you are a premie. Even if you are a Premie your Sig space is not increased(I am not sure I'll check.) for any good sigs. Also this site has plenty of server errors.

Otherwise it is all good. Except for me. you all hate me don't you? You can't just stand my sexiness.

I have no idea what I was thinking, and I really don't like giving my name out for personal reasons. I wish I could change it but I don't have the money. XD

Anyways the only forum I joined before this one was GameFAQs (well I may have joined another one, but it wasn't video games.) So I'm thinking I found this forum through GameFAQs and not Google, now.

I don't even remember, but I remember having found this site wayyy back in like March 2001 (I was actually twelve then), but didn't join till December that year. Some landmarks I remember were green site layouts, green boards too, the boards reaching 1000 members, smashboards domain name, the UBB to VB switch, among other things. Since I like to keep this site looking like it used to, I use the Classic board layout, with the thin blue lines.

It's been a long time, but I don't see this place dying anytime soon. The Nintendo Power thing was a great boost to the place, and so have been the premium memberships, and stuff to keep this place running.

Before the original Smash Bros. came out I remembered looking at info about it on smashbros.com, so when Melee was announced, I typed in smashbrosmelee.com to happen across Gid's site. I visited the main site for about two months before trying out the forums (I didn't know what a forum was, so I didn't click on the link). So yeah, I joined August 21st 2001 I believe, the same day as Kokichi regardless.
