Go look up GOOD turnouts for melee and go look up how many events for melee were being held.

now look for it in 2008-2009. SEVERE DRASTIC HUGE drop. In tournies and in turn out. Melee gets one HUGE event every once in a while and brawl gets them every other month it seems.

go to the front page of swf, look at the activity in the melee area vs the brawl area. brawl wins.

Look at all the MELEE pros. Azen/chu/ken/isai/cort/vidjo/m2k/neo/bum/dire/meep/Kosmos/HugS/ DSF.....i can go on but whats the point. MOST of them went to brawl or quit altogether. VERY VERY few ONLY stick hardcore with melee. Its a dead game.

Melee disks aint being made any more.......dead game.



As always the list can go on as to why brawl is the future(wether its "better" or not) and melee is dead in most areas and dying in all other areas. You STILL have lots to learn ozz.

I made a post at MGC website to see when they are coming to Houston and askd them questions about fees. I read that it MIGHT be in november but it wasnt confirmed. They are already using my ruleset for the brawl events so thats cool.

Over 1,000 was paid out for singles alone, which means unless the entrance fee was $25, there was obviously either a sponsorship or more than 40 entrants.

So if you think a sponsored game or a regional tourney that had a payout of over 1k is a "DEAD GAME," then go ahead.

Do ho ho. The context of what you were saying was trying to justify the payout vs the number of entrants since 40 is still classified as "a dead game" and a "low turnout" to you.

Whereas in realityland where the rest of us live, Tipped Off 5 actually had 80-90 (I've been told 88 actually entered singles, with over 100 in the door) entrants in singles. That is a larger number than most Brawl tournaments.
