I'm hoping to get a PS3 for Christmas so I can finally play FF13, and get 14 when it's released. That PS3 looks pretty nice. What's the difference between this one and the last one?

Bigger hard drive/faster/more power saving/fits into spaces a lot easier/ i think its cheaper too.

if you can, skip this ps3 and find the original one that has ps2 playback.

Incorrect, wii already won this gen. Nintendo sold 91 million consoles. The next closest leader is 360 with 68 million. Its literally impossible for them to catch the wii.

WiiU is an 8th gen system getting a head start by a year. Just like the 360 did with the 7th gen by a year.

Other than the tablet, the technology in the system itself is equivalent to what the PS3/Xbox 360 have.

yet again incorrect, the WiiU is more advanced than the ps3/360(thats why its a next gen system). From RAM to shaders to CPU to w/e its better(though not by a land slide). Its the same thing that happened last gen aka wii was better than ps2/gcn/xbox but not by much.

So yes, it is competing with them, especially with the holiday shopping season. Why would they wait the week before Black Friday to release it?

They are not competing with current gen. They are releasing their next gen system right before the holiday season so it can start off with strong sales and a lead over the last two next gen systems. who cares what a 360/ps3/wii sells? Nintendo won and has moved on to the next gen.

I never said that the Wii was the BEST console of this gen. I simply said it won because the winner is determined by console sales...not games. ps2 won last gen. ps1 won the gen before that. snes won the gen before that. all won not because of games but because of systems sold.

And if your gonna try and incorrectly assume that im using the "sales argument", at least do it right. Wii Sports has sold more than the CoD series. So by your incorrect sales argument assumption...you are STILL wrong. WII SPORTZ IZ THA BEZT GAME SERISE OFF AWL TYME! and wii sports is literally an extended tech demo that the casuals ate up.

i cant speak for gnes/p4 but im pretty sure they got the ps3 versions because they already had a ps3 or that their friends they wanna play with had a ps3. personally, id use a ps3 over a GayBox any day.

You're right, but forgot to mention that Wii sales have PLUMMETED for the past 3 years. Not even Skyward Sword saved it.

Yea thats true. it took them 6 years to build a hardcore game(that looked bad/controlled bad) for a casual system. by that time, the core had left the wii long ago.

Funny. Most Zelda fans rate skyward sword as the best one. Interesting.

I HIGHLY doubt that. You mean to tell me an average zelda fan who has played all the zelda games would put SS above OOT or WW or TP or LttP? I really doubt it. New gen zelda players whos first zelda game was WW, yea maybe. Seriously though, i would def let you borrow the game to see for yourself. It is definitely not the best zelda.

To be fair, Brawl did do a few things right (setting music for stages, some good music), but it is plagued with bad/broken mechanics, sloppy programming/lack of playtesting, and ideas with poor execution.

My friend recently said that most everybody who had played Skyward Sword believes its the best Zelda game in the series. I seriously think hes ********. That is where LL comes in. Please list your top 5 Zelda games IN ORDER. After a good amount of responses, im going to show him.

Not a die hard Zelda fan since I only began bothering with the series 4 months ago cause games were starting to feel stale to me and I wanted a breath of fresh air that wasn't Nintendo **** or shooter games. (even though the only one I played was Gears 1/2/3)
But first LoZ game I played (through the entire thing from start to finish) Was TP, OoT next, and SS.

Literally just finished SS a few hours ago, for now I'd actually say SS is favorite so far. TP then OoT.

Gonna stream MM whenever I feel like it, so list will probably mix around once I finish this game.

Also, A Link to the Past is the best Zelda game imo. It has the best items, most epic dungeons, and the plot is straightforward and good.

Skyward Sword is my favorite 3D Zelda, mostly due to how relatable Zelda is in that game; Link and Zelda are basically best friends, and this is closest they have been in a Zelda game. I also liked the controls, although you revisit the same areas a lot, it was still fun to explore everything. Also, the side-quests were good too. I love the Ballad of the Goddess. I go to sleep with it sometimes.

Windwaker has the best epic ending to a Zelda imo. I liked the parry system, and exploring the whole Great Sea, going and exploring every island. Also, the story-plot was really good imo.

Majora's Mask has like the most interesting side-quests; well it's basically the most side-quest oriented of all the Zeldas. I love the idea of the way you could travel through time managing tasks of 3 days. Each day had something different to offer, and that's what I love about the series. Twilight Princess is also one of my favorites (it's so hard to choose for favorite 3D Zelda!) as it had the one of the most interesting places to explore. Also, the boss battles were epic, including the final one. I also liked the whole transforming into a wolf idea. The places in the game were beautifully crafted, especially places like Hyrule town, the Hyrule castle, Zora's domain, etc. Riding and fighting on Epona was a great experience in the game as well.

Ocarina of Time was epic as well. The items were great, and having one of the most epic music for a Zelda game, mostly the Ocarina songs. It's like Twilight Princess, but of course with worse graphics (it should really be vice versa lol, Twilight Princess feels like an upgraded Ocarina of Time). Ocarina of Time also serves as pivotal place in the Zelda timeline, as the following stories are spread into three paths.

I haven't even touched the 2D Zeldas except A Link to the Past (it being my favorite of course!), but I'll stop right here for now. I love the Legend of Zelda series so much!

Also, the only Zelda games I haven't played are Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. I'll get down to playing them sometime in the future.

That's probably because MM is the best.
Better tone/setting, characters are more interesting, feels like it gives you a bit more freedom, the time and mask mechanics are pretty damned cool, etc etc.
