I'm not dropping MK, but I am wanting to get better with low tier to help me think, space, and zone.

Hmmm....well to me that makes no sense. Why space, and zone with a character that your not even playing( He's not Low Tier Btw ) You just need to learn your character inside and out. I know it's not easy but i don't see how playing a "low tier" character is going to advance your MK game any more than playing MK himself.

It's kinda hard to explain but learning other characters really helps. Other chars teach you good habits that help your main. Playing DDD/Wario will make you better at grabbing and teach you how important they are and teach you to use them more, using Falco will teach you to use low percent quick moves to rack up damage and learning Marth will teach you how to space aerials. And low tiers will help with saving kill moves and recovering smartly.
Low tiers can help you become more creative too, with different kill setups. So your Mk would become a lot more patient with killing (Razer is really patient with kills)

All these things can help a MK main (cept recovering I guess)

I guess I can vouch that taking a REAL break from singles can help. Before I could cg or do anything cool with ICs, I took a two week break cause I wasn't obsessed yet. When I came back, I could do my CGs atleast 3x better.

Edit: When I say REAL break, I mean not touching brawl at ALL. I didn't even look at brawl-related websites for two weeks.

Yeah P4, in other words, don't play Zelda for LTs.

You'll only spend most of your time wasting kill moves, unless you can time her LKs perfectly, and her recovery sucks balls. IMO your better off going CFal or Ike for manly purposes. :X

I guess i just do not see the point in learning those things with a different character in order to enhance his MK game. Just learn to do it with MK himself.

Mm, thanks to Razer, I finally realized what I've been doing wrong. I never fully understood Snake, like, it was the reason I wasn't getting better. I mean like, I can lose to randoms, then I can also beat good players the same time, tf?

That's whats been holding me back from improving, and repeating, I never fully understood my character. Basically, my Snake was an Ally-style Snake. The only ways I could get hits in, were little openings, or predicting and adapting to the opponent. I wasn't playing Snake like he should be played, I was moreover playing him like he played me. Doesn't make sense lmao. I let Snake take control, I didn't think what to do or when to do it, I randomly threw moves out hoping they would hit, and half the hits I get on others were pretty much lucky honestly.

Yeah, I placed 9th at HOBO, but I could place last at the next one, but I think now that I realize it, its just a matter of time till I find out all my flaws, and finally getting in the bizness.

Gnes and Ozz helped me a ton, just their advice was pretty good, even if they didn't say much, one sentence could make you realize what your doing wrong and completely change how well you do.

It's been less then 3 days, and I'm pretty sure now that I know what to do, what to work on, all that ish, I'll start doing better.

tl;dr

I've found out why I haven't been improving, conquered it, and am now able to start getting better step by step, even if its just a small one.

Houston community is amazing. And why do we have no girls in our community, **** I would've loved to meet Sammi.
