Ok......sorry for the double post guys, but i am happy to announce that this is my 100th post! oh ya and i am going to talk to some clans about having a clan wars even though we only have a couple ppl 
any other clans u guys hate or just really want to fight? i was thinking about the snake clan, cuz he is supposedly a really good character..... whatcha think?

or maybe lucas, jigglypuff, yoshi, DK, Bowser, samus, zero suit samus, pokemon trainer, lucario, ganondorf, ike, or cpt. falcon.
Maybe us, pokemon trainer, lucario, and jiggly puff in a big pokewar, all matches taking place in one of the pokemon matches. lol
However I think I should tell you guys now that I am leaving sunday for a week. so ya....

srry for double post, but good games against you krehz! had alot of fun you got me good there a few times...i hate that lag though - you do a lot better job fighting with lag than me, so props lol

ya that was fun! the lag killed me alot when i was pika cuz of quick attack lol but ya u are definitely good enough to be in this clan :D lol u like how i almost came back with the ice climbers? lol they are fun to screw around with and just so everyone knows, if i get on tonight it won't be until like midnight ET or so.........sorry i gotta work lol

I had been addicted myself while school was still in session, recently though I've been able to play friends IRL more. SOOOOOOOO much better. (but you already know that)I should be on, but I gotta go get dinner like 3 hours after you guys have it, cuz im on west coast. but I still wanna play...I think Im getting addicted to this Wifi deal, especially since I have no one within like a half hour to play against
Besides, half the fun is being there playin the game with your buds in someones basement fighting for the right to stay in for the next match.

One thing I seem to have a problem with is finding people who enjoy the same aspects of brawl as me. For example, I love playing for fun, but at the same time, I enjoy taking time to learn the metagame, and get down some ATs, and then work to incorporate them into my gameplay. Yet, my friends like to play for fun, they are decent, but never improve cuz they never play cept when I'm there, so it sucks. And wifi, well that is really cool and fun but the lag kills some matches. Oh well, sorry for the wall of text just my sad thoughts on the smash community in the middle of nowhere, arizona lol

I don't know if you realize this but Michigan actually has a lot of good brawlers who have biweekly tournies. Greats such as Anther himself (he lives in Michigan) attend. You should look it up, I believe they are somewhere around the Anne Arbor area.
I have a few decent friends. One of them only got brawl like a month ago because his parents had confiscated his wii indefinately due to his alleged "obsession" with melee. lol.
The other one loves brawl and definately wants to improve (he's already not that bad) yet he has yet to even get the game because he can't seem to obtain a Wii.
I have other friends who play as well, but those 2 are pretty much my best bet at good sparring partners.

I'm 17 too, though I don't turn 18 'till march. If you have or will soon get your license then just say you are going to a friend's for a day and go to the tourney. Though I don't see why your parents would care much, I used to go to Magic the Gathering tournies all the time and I have strict parents.dude i would go to tournaments, but i can almost guarantee my parents wouldn't go for it, but i turn 18 soon, so maybe then lol ummmm ya but there is really nobody as far as friends around here

hrm, we are instituting an entrance "exam" if you will, and that is going to be given online, so although we would love to have you, I suggest calling customer support and getting on getting your wifi working ASAP.

Great, glad to hear you are interested. hopefully one or 2 of us can play you sometime today, if not, SOMEBODY should be able to play you by tomorrow for sure. I would suggest looking up QuACing before hand in the guide or the QuACing thread that is farther down the page that I will bump after this. Try to learn to QuAC atleast twice consecutively, three times would be fantastic especially on WIFI. Also try to QuAC into a Dair, which is VERY easy, just Quick Attack diagonally or vertically into the ground and hit Cstick down immediately, it is very simple. So work on those few things, make sure you don't spam too much, and work on your chaingrabbing. (which I suggest we test by the tester being a Chaingrabable character and have the opponent CG you.)
OK, so I know that stuff may seem a little daunting, but if you don't get it at first we will work with you and help get you to the point where you can do those things with ease.
So practice and GL!

I've been practicing QuAC'ing a bit as of late actually, QuAC into a Dair being my favorite kind xD I will work on my chaingrab though, as I don't think my grabbing skills are all that good. The only thing I really need to do is get a new controller xD I broke the gamecube joystick so upsmash doesn't work all that well (I can still use the C-stick, although its not quickly usable either
) I'll be going back to practicing now, but thanks for the input ^.^

hey guys, im back! i told my gf to write that post about me leaving for a few days on tuesday! i said i was getting back friday and she writes it on thursday. but its good to be back. anyways, back to business.
for those wanting to join the clan i am online at night all the time around 11-12 at night (eastern time). if you want to join you are supposed to talk to krehz and if gives you or me the ok then pm/aim/msn me when i am on and i will go online and i can play/test you. but before we play online be sure you contact me. there are some things i would like to go over before we play.
some things we are going to have you do is comboing with the QAC, short hopping, edgeguarding,etc... if you show descent ability then we will move into a match. 3 matches on FD.
as for you krehz, i need to talk to you so whenever you see me on just message me.

As for your 3 matches on FD policy...I don't like it. I think it would be a much better test of skill and their adaptability to have them play on 3 different stages. Say, any 3 normally acceptable picks/counterpicks as decided by the tester. For example, round 1 Final Destination, round 2 Lylat Cruise, round 3 Yoshi's Island (Brawl version).
What do you think?

thats not a bad idea. sounds good to me. don't forget about smashville and BF too. whatever works. watch how they use the platforms and stuff.

To me this sounds like a better idea. FD is great and all, but with a different variety of stages it would be better to see what a player can do with obstacles as well.
