He obviously has a bone to pick with corrupt "kings" like Dedede and K.Rool, along with other villains.

He gets along with Bayonetta and Dark Pit, on the basis of being goth punks that hates order.

He's best friends with Isabelle and she doesn't know the polite boy with glasses she hangs out is actually Joker in the battlefield.

Watching the opening cinematic again (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TKETbYtvhY): It makes me shed tears of absolute joy. The opening really does an amazing job making you realize just how far Smash has come in the past 20 years with how it features everyone in the roster from Smash's history (as opposed to past openings where only starters/guest characters were present) which really punctuates the "Everyone is Here" message.

However in light of the latest news, it also makes me awe and utterly speechless in another manner when you realize that: Joker (and Piranha Plant lol) is going to be standing alongside and be on the same level as all these characters!

Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this just from seeing this amazing intro XD.

2 days later, and I'm STILL not over it.

I'm still processing the fact that Joker was the FIRST DLC character revealed, I would've expected a character like Joker to be second to last, and be used to tease a final Smash direct, similar to what they did with Cloud in Smash 4, but nope.

I once read a skit about Incineroar cowing all the bad guys by revealing to be the Grinch leaker, in the general. I'd like to see Joker one-up him.

Didn't the colonel say Brawl? If so it's because one of his VAs died.

I know of that latter part. At that point, it would have made more sense to leave the codecs out altogether.

Logged in my account for the first time in 2 years just to say that I support Joker 100% in Smash 5.

If he actually ends up being in the game, I will main him, and devote my life resources to becoming the best Joker main on the planet.

That's amazing. Daisy's unamused reaction is priceless, as is Mario and Bowser both being ready to beat Joker up; clearly, they're not about to let some other dude butt in on their romantic rivalry.
